Circuit City's stock is at 26 cents... does that mean good bf deals?
bigjimslade replied to BigSlama912's topic in 2008
Not really. WM focuses on appliances, toys and other items. You might see some competition in TV sales but for the past 3 to 4 years BB has run over all of the stores you listed and CC in electronic sales. BB main competitor is CC and in some markets CompUSA and Frys. -

If we lose CC it could be bad for BF next year. It means that BB does not have competition and they can sell stuff at any price. -

It could mean that CC will be closed in the next month or so. Sony has always stopped shipments to CC. Sony Trucks Literally Turn Around to Stop Circuit City Shipments http://gizmodo.com/5072782/sony-trucks-literally-turn-around-to-stop-circuit-city-shipments -

I dont think Brad got the press release from BB. You can get it off the net using different wire services. We post the press releases as a service to the community members so you guys can get the best deals and know about them first. For example I spend about 30 minutes each day looking though press releases looking for specials and such. It is a double standards but I hope BB will play nice this year. They always do good on BF because of the crap games and ads that WM and others do.

It looks like more and more stores are going pro black friday this year.

I would also ask your local manager as well and check your SKU numbers. Sometimes they will have special SKU numbers made so you cant price match. -
Welcome to community! The only way to know about any specials like you posted about is when the ads are released. Sears already sent out a press release saying they will have secret deals that you will only know about if you go into the store on BF.

Welcome to the community! I highly doubt that there will be extra employees that will be there to help and such. Most of them will be doing crowd control and check out. What store are you looking to go at? Also if you are looking into doing price matching I would check with the store before hand just in case they dont do it this year. Stores are putting in price matching clauses in there rules for Black Friday.

How does Black Friday shopping online work for BB?
bigjimslade replied to biggerbear16's topic in 2008
Welcome to the community! BB does not price match on Black Friday. It falls under there special events clause and also BB goes the extra mile of closing there guest services/return lines on BF. -

HPB is a very cool company and people line up to work at HPB. The calendar offer they have is well worth it. The calendar has 20% or more off coupons good for each month of 2009. Below is 5 of my best finds at HPB. Autographed copy of Jane Russell's autobiography for $10.00Autographed copy of Veronica Lake's autobiography for $20.00Song of the South DVD that you can only get outside of the USAutographed copy of a book written by former Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for $7.00Shrinked wrapped copy of MGM: When The Lion Roars coffee table book for $10.00 when the retail is $70.00
