  1. I have that Garmin and I love it!!
  2. Are the items you guys are watching listed at the BF price, but say "coming soon"? I'm stalking the PS3 bundle and it says coming soon, but the price is $349-you don't think they're selling it at that do you? Still a decent deal, but it's $299 in the print ad...
  3. Which items did you find? I'd love to go grab the couple of toys I need and avoid Walmart altogether on Friday! I'm wanting the air hogs thing, the hot wheel track set, and the Imaginext dinosaur mountain-has anyone seen any of these things already on the floor at BF price?
  4. Thanks for the info on Valkyria-it does look pretty good! I went ahead and got the amazon deal of the day bundle yesterday with NHL 10 and used the "spend 80 get 20" promo to get Little Big Planet. Paid $336 for all of it which considering I'd have to pay tax at BB is still a decent deal. I'm still going to try for this bundle online, but this way if I don't get it I've still got a nice little bundle for under the tree.
  5. Well I bit on this one. I literally sat there last night with my finger on the place order button until a few minutes before the sale ended. I got the NHL 10 game instead of Madden, because I read on another board that it was included in the "spend 80 get 20" deal even though it wasn't listed and it worked! So I picked up Little Big Planet, which is the game that I really wanted the BB bundle for and paid $336 for all of it. I figure once you add in tax, I only spent about $10 more than I would have at Best Buy (although I would have liked the Ratchet and Clank game...). Also I can focus my attention elsewhere on BF and know that my hubby's new PS3 is safe and sound and just waiting at home already... I was just scared I wouldn't get one of the doorbuster bundles and then be SOL. Hope I did well on this one!
  6. Were they the ones in the toy section or leftover Halloween? My boys would love those!
  7. I need just a little help/advice on this one. I think this is what I want, but would love some input from some experts. First of all, do you think this is a good deal? The games have pretty good reviews and I think my kids will like both (might have to get some other games for DH though...). What recommendations would you make for RPGs for the PS3? I know DH wants this solely for the new Final Fantasy in March, but are there any similar games out now that are good? And my biggest concern-any thoughts on the likelihood that this bundle will be available online? Is there a better chance of getting the Wal-Mart bundle online and what are your thoughts on that one versus this one? Thanks in advance for any input-I am a complete moron when it comes to all things gaming.
  8. Ok all you gamers-that seems like a good deal on the PS3, right? Also, what do you think of the games that are included in the bundle and can we use the PS3 to stream Netflix if we're subscribers?
  9. That's exactly what I plan on doing! We spend a fortune at amazon year round-I might just have to stock up on gift cards...
  10. We're not. In the KC area they are trying out a new rewards program where you get 5% off all of your redcard purchases instead of earning points towards a 10% off. I'd prefer the 5% all the time, so I hope they extend it to the Springfield market.
  11. You guys should take her up on this one-she's a coupon genius! I personally really liked when the coupon deals and the clearance deals were all in this thread...
  12. http://www.leapfrog.com/en/landingpages/coupons.html Here you go-it's $4 off.
  13. I would LOVE LOVE LOVE this policy change! KC, are you in KS or MO?
  14. Ours was last weekend and hubby and I both went (both teachers). No discounts, but they did had drawings for several big office items (including an awesome file cabinet that I loved!), free coffee and cards for free food items (Fog City Coffee and Chik-fil-a). We got one of those reusable bags filled with freebies like pushpins, paperclips, pencil, highlighter, post-its, legal pads, etc. Lots of useful stuff, but I really liked the chrome jump drives we got last year...
  15. Our Wii games got marked down again too. I picked up Need for Speed for 12.48 (reg 49.99). Also saw Wall E, a bowling game, some "girl" games and an outdoor party games one that I hadn't seen before. All were 50 or 75% off. A few more toys were marked 30% that hadn't been marked as of Sunday when I was there last, but they hadn't taken any additional discounts yet on what had already been marked. I'm hoping that they start trying to move some product on Thursday...They seem to be getting ready for something at ours.
  16. I am much more excited about the toy clearance now. I went to the Branson MO Target and they had about 30-40% of the toy section marked down and had some really great stuff that ours in Springfield hasn't marked down yet. (Imaginext, Planet Heroes, Ben 10, Geotrax, lots of action figures and Hot Wheel stuff) It looked like there was a lot in the girl toys as well, but I only have boys so I didn't pay much attention. I found some of the National Geographic toys that I had planned to stalk already marked down to 50% off. They're only 30% at ours and pretty picked over. I'm hoping it's a sign of things to come because this Target is always a few weeks ahead of my regular store.
  17. I don't think they're finished marking down what they are going to clearance for end of summer. At least at ours, there are tons of toys with an "NCF" shelf label ("not carried forward" I think)-I'm sure those will all get clearanced within the month, so I think what we're seeing now is only the beginning. Maybe that's just wishful thinking though...
  18. Springfield MO was 50% off everything and still had a decent selection, but about 90% is sweaters, sweatshirts, etc. I stocked up for fall and only spent $48. Very limited selection of $3 t-shirts, only bought 2 of those.
  19. Got one! We spent the weekend in STL and I hit two Targets while I was there. The Chesterfield store is still 39.98, but the Brentwood store was remodeling and I struck gold there. They had a few of the Leapsters left at 19.98 (WOO HOO!!)-I started to grab one for you, but didn't know if you'd found one yet or not. Sorry!! They also had a pile of Wii games left (and actually still had decent titles) and had already marked their bulk stuff down to 50%. I can't figure why they haven't marked the Leapsters down at ours-it seems every time we're in there they have put more out if anything else. I know they will be gone by the end of the day though as soon as they go 75%. I'm hoping to snag another one though because with two boys I think I was crazy only buying one at that price.
  20. I know! I got all excited when I saw people posting on here and rushed out yesterday as soon as my school let out, but alas. Didn't it seem like they might have put out even more? They're taunting me. We're going to St. Louis this weekend and I always get lucky at the Chesterfield target, so maybe...
  21. I am anxiously waiting to see if the Leapsters get marked down today-will someone post if they see them (especially any of you Springfield shoppers)?? Thanks!
  22. That's because experian sucks. They aren't releasing a fico score for a consumer to see, only lenders can see them. So basically I can't see what my real fico is through experian, but the guy in the finance dept at my local dealership can...really crummy on experian's part.
  23. Probably! I bought my son one at 75% last summer and gave it to him for Christmas. The one I got was the Step 2 one that sits on the ground and has two sides. I remember seeing others on sale, but don't remember which ones. That stuff generally always goes clearance because they don't carry it year round. Good Luck!
