  1. From what I understand, the Animal Crossing for Wii is still in development and won't be out until NEXT Christmas. But, then again, anything is possible. Who knows with all the rumors flying around.
  2. My DH works with this guy...he really is a showman...and a good person to boot. I will be taking the kids as soon as it opens :)
  3. Finally got to play with the Wii today! Our EB Games had a demo. Had to turn in my license to use the controller. The only thing that sucked was that they only had Excite Truck as the demo game and you had to hold the Wiimote sideways like a regular controller to play...so I didnt get the full range of the Wiimote's capabilities. Plus they didnt have the nunchuk out for use. Its much smaller than I had anticipated. Very very easy to navigate around the different menus. I got to play on the mii channel to make a caricature. Im so excited!!! Between that Amazon preorder and Walmart preorder, one of them is bound to show up. Oh, on an OT note, we also played the PS3 at Target. Yes, the graphics are outstanding, but I think the Wii is much much more entertaining. And what is up with getting a DVD in with the PS3 instead of a game? Blu ray or not, I would much rather get a game than a freakin' lame movie. My DH even told me that he wasnt all that impressed with it either. Yet another side note...whats up with these gamestore employees talking down to me like I don't know about video games? In fact, I had to school their butts on some features of the Wii. I hate when they do that. They think girls don't know a thing. DH and I went into Gamestop and I asked an employee a question and got the eye roll and dumbed down answer, but when DH asked the same employee the exact same question 15 min later, he couldnt get more in depth and engaging conversation. I mean, its just video games, not rebuilding a flippin' car engine. Sorry, just thought Id rant for a minute, LOL!
  4. The actual factory is getting harder and harder to get. I got one from toysrus.com b/c they were sold out at all the b&m. Of course, they are jacking up the prices on ebay. I can get the refills on ebay but I don't want to pay $50 for it. I wonder if any other generic build a bear kits can work on it. Probably not..but I saw a ton of Bear Works things at Biggs.
  5. If anyone finds these, will you please let me know. I am looking for the refills. It comes with a bear skin, fluff, and outfit. They are OOS at Target, Etoys, Sears, Kmart..TRU.everywhere. Thanks!!
  6. I just bought some at Target and am anxious to try them out. I figure, the brighter the better. Plus they are chip and break resistant.
  7. Since my girls are 6,3, and 3 I saved up all the toy catalogs and inserts from the sunday paper. I gave them some construction paper, safety scissors, and glue sticks and told them to make a collage of the things they want Santa to bring them. I have the Sears Wishbook, Etoys, TRU, and alot of specialty catalogs. This way Santa will have no trouble knowing exactly what they want.
  8. We saw her at Target today. The girls did get excited about her, but not so excited that they were begging for her. I can see them getting bored with it very quickly.
  9. I believe it comes with the console, wiimote, wii sports, and a nunchuk. I don't believe it comes with a stand. I heard my DH say that we need to get a component cable for it b/c he hasnt seen where one is included. Someone correct me if I am wrong.
  10. Lik Sang was AWESOME! They never messed up an order. I got a DS lite months before it was released here in the US. I was on the preorder list for the Wii since April. Just last month Sony filed a ton of lawsuits against them for selling over seas or something like that. I dont know. Anyway, they have so many lawsuits that they had to go out of business over night. Its a shame b/c they have been around for a decade and are very very reputable.
  11. I did yesterday at about 12:45pm. By 1:00 it was OOS. I had originally had preordered from Lik Sang..but you know how that ended, LOL.
  12. Always the saturday before Thanksgiving.
  13. Still in stock! Question...does it come with an extra controller and nunchuck in this bundle? Or are they saying that they are in with the console?
  14. Im not sure if this is for real or not, but I'll just throw it out there and you can make of it what you will. Specifically for Cincinnati folks.. TRU in Western Hills is only getting 10 for preorder. I have a friend who works for Target. She said that the Western Hills store is getting 40! But, get this, she said the Florence KY store is getting 400-700 Wiis in. I do not believe that one. She said its true b/c they had a meeting about the whole Wii thing and that they are supposed to refer people to the Florence store when Western Hills sells out of Wiis. So I said, "Are you sure they don't mean 40-70?" And she said "No, it was definetly 400-700." I don't know if she is on crack or what. Why would TRU only get a measily 10 and one specific Target store get hundreds? So, I guess what Im saying is don't forget about Target.
  15. My 6 year old enjoys it..she is asking for another one. I couldnt bring myself to buy it, but I know Grandma is getting it for her :) I think they are more fun if you have more than one and connect them together.
  16. I just added it up. I spent a little over $1000 for all three put together. About 1/3 of that is joint gifts (big things like the Dora Castle with all accessories and baby doll strollers, etc.). And that is AFTER I decided I got too much and took alot back :)
  17. For those who 'preordered' from Lik Sang, I hate to say it, but they are out of business. Ive had my name on the Wii preorder list since April 26. I don't know what made me do the Amazon preorder as well, but Im glad I did. They are cancelling ALL orders as of today. Sony is suing the pants off of them. Here is the link: http://www.lik-sang.com/news.php?artc=3901 My apologies in advance if this has already been posted.
  18. I bought one of those globes for myself a few months ago. Im one of those people who have no geographical awareness whatsoever. I was tired of not knowing where various countries are. Im not stupid, mind you, just didn't pay attention in geography class, LOL! Anyhow, I LOVE it. Its really appropriate for all ages.
  19. You are a better person than me. If my DD ever lost her Nintendo DS, I'd tell her tough cookies, she didnt take care of the first one, Im sure as heck not buying her another one, LOL!
  20. Im LMAO over the 'childish' comment. I think its far from it. Anyway, there are so many rumors flying around about how many will be available, I think the best bet is to preorder. Ive heard that there will only be a limited amount at first and then the rest will be available after January. Ive also heard there are 2 million ready to sell now. So who knows how many there really are? I wouldnt take anyone's word for it. As for the game that is being bundled with it, well, at least there IS a game included for free. Its better than nothing. They chose the game that most demonstrates the controllers capabilities. Luckily I got in on the Amazon preorder a month ago and supposedly they are supposed to honor all who got in before they cut it off. I went to Gamestop this morning at 10am for a totally unrelated reason (dd wants Nintendogs Dalmation, lol) and casually asked how many they sold before the doors opened. The guy said they only had 7 available and 40 people were in line at 9 am. Lots of ticked off people.
  21. DD (6) Pink Accoustic Guitar Table top puppet theatre and puppets Chemistry Set and Microscope Telescope (radio shack clearance) Baby Alive Little Mommy Toddler Princess Barbie DD (3) Baby Alive Buzz Lightyear doll Rescue Heros mini set Child sized accordian Magic Kit Little Mommy Toddler Bilingual Doll Dancing Princess Barbie DD (3) (twins) Baby Alive Strawberry Shortcake large doll Band in a box Melissa and Doug mailbox Melissa and Doug Birthday cake set Little Mommy Toddler doll Dancing Princess Barbie Shared Gifts: Dora Magic Castle w/Carriage and all furniture/figures Baby doll stroller and accessories Twelve Dancing Princesses horse and carriage Pet Grooming station (for stuffed animals) Little Mommy playground for their dolls Most of this stuff I got on clearance or really good deals. The baby alives I got with the hasbro deal last week. The dora stuff I got from ebay and big lots. The pet grooming station was a JCpenney outlet thing I got for 10 bucks. Yeah, they are spoiled. I dont buy them alot during the year. DH and I are getting a Wii (hopefully)
  22. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse will be very hot. It is already OOS at most online stores. Walmart seems to have them periodically. The actual clubhouse might be a bit easier to come by, but its the darn figures that go to it that seems to be extremely hard to find. Nintendo Wii is going to be crazy. I was lucky enough to get in on the Amazon preorder so hopefully Ill get one. I know you can preorder at Gamestop starting tomorrow (10/13). Im not sure about Baby Alive. Everywhere Ive been seems to have a ton. The price has come down on it the last few weeks as well. It used to be 59.99, then it was 49.99, and now its 39.99 with a bonus outfit. The Little Pony doll that is in a baby walker that really walks is sold out at alot of places. I had a hard time finding it for my 3 year old. The Diego Talking Rescue Center will probably be a big seller as well as the Littlest Pet Shop Biggest Shop. Some of the Barbie Twelve Dancing Princess stuff might be hard to come by. My girls want the triplet princesses that spin. They are the tiny ones. I cannot find them anywhere and cannot find them online other than ebay. Back to the Wii..I think only hard core gamers are going to buy the PS3 at launch. Its a hefty price for the casual gamer, I think. The Wii will probably be hotter b/c its more user friendly for casual gamers and the price is alot lower. Ive had my name on the Lik Sang preorder list since April and still havent got a confirmation that I will get one..and launch is only a few short weeks away. Hopefully between Lik Sang and Amazon, Ill get one for myself and Dh. If I happen to get both, then maybe Ill ebay one. I know way too much about toys, LOL! I have a 6 year old and 3 year old twins, so I try to stay current :)
  23. Not proud of myself...I would say in all I spent $2500. That is for my 3 kids (average $300 a piece), DH, my parents, his parents, our 10 nieces and nephews, 5 aunts and uncles, my 5 brothers and sisters and their other halves, the mailman, teachers, treat bags for the kids in DD's class...and that includes money missing from our acct that DH is using to buy me something. I spent way too much. My kids are getting way too much. I did give to alot of charities and was glad that I was able to this year. I figure, the bottom could fall out tomorrow..at least my kids will have a memory of one spectacular Christmas. Im not counting our new tv and home theatre system. That is our anniversary gift :)
  24. My daughter is getting one. She wouldnt at all if it werent for the b1g1 free deal a few months back. Amazon had two overlapping deals where I ended up with two of these doll houses and a $30 dora princess doll for a grand total of $31.00. Dont ask me how they figured the math on that one...two $50 dollhouses and a doll all for $31.00. Free shipping, too. I tried for awhile to see the logic in it, but gave up and prayed that the deal would go through. Both houses came and they are even the ones with extra figures thrown in. That was one of the best deals I scored in awhile. I ebayed the extra dollhouse in October and made $55. Just enough money to buy furniture for the other one. Its really cute. I noticed that my local Target and TRU was OOS. I probably shouldve waited until closer to Christmas to ebay the other one..probably wouldve made way more.
