Just got back from CompUSA where I picked up: *Hitachi 160 GB SATA hard drive *80 GB external hard drive *350va UPS Just completed my order online with CompUSA for: *Logitech Bluetooth Mobile Headset (sold out at the store I was at) Have everything I want from BB in my shopping cart online, but getting ready to head out to try to pick them up in-store.

I'm still awake since T-day morning. Was gonna nap in the afternoon but didn't make it. Just got back from CompUSA and getting ready to leave for Best Buy!

That is the one item on my list that I didn't already have in my shopping cart. All day T-day it kept showing it for almost $50. Now that it's on sale online I think I'm going to submit my order. That way I might not even go to BB. My total shipping is $15. After my horrendous ordeal with CompUSA it might be worth the $15.

Wow, wish my experience was as good as all of you guys! I just got back too. Got there at 11:30. The line went across the front of the store and half-way along the side of the building. Not long after I got there the line was all the way along the side of the building and was looping back past where I was half-way along the side. We finally get in there and all the hard drive deals are in the first main upgrade aisle. Talk about a madhouse!! They were all stacked up, no one was moving. They were trying to have everyone enter the one end and exit the other end. But of course, some people decided to try to go up the "exit" end. I finally was able to get almost half-way down the aisle and could see it was basically wiped out. I think people were just grabbing anything on the shelf, whether it was on sale or not. The guy in front of me grabbed the Hitachi 160 GB SATA hard drive (which was the #1 item I wanted). I asked if he could grab me one, but said they're all out. We moved up a bit more and we saw some 250 GB Hitachi drives and people were moving them around trying to find the 160's. As one person moved a 250 out of the way I saw "16" on a box and grabbed it! SCORE!! Someone else grabbed another 160 box, the last one. But it was PATA, not SATA. Ok, at this point I didn't mind if I couldn't get anything else. That was the main thing I wanted. I then went to get the Logitch Bluetooth Mobile Headset for $9.99 but they were all out. The one manager pulled it up in the system and looks like they only had 6 to begin with. Oh well. I then decided to pick up the 350va UPS for $19.99 for my family's computer. Go to the shelf and they were gone too. So now I start just walking around seeing what else I might be able to get (all the while clutching my Hitachi drive for dear life). On an end-cap I found a whole bunch of the UPS. Another minor score, as I really didn't care if I got it or not. I actually wished I didn't take the time to look around as the line to check out was all the way to the back aisle of the store. As I'm walking to get in line to check out I see this guy just standing at a pallet holding one of the 80 GB external hard drives. I heard him tell his friend he was with "I don't know what it is, it's one of the things everyone was grabbing when they first came in." As I continued to listen, it sounded like he didn't want it. I should have just asked. But instead I just hung around pretending to look at the laser printers. After about 5 minutes him and his friend walk away, leaving the external drive sitting on the pallet. I swung around and snatched it up! SCORE!! I then get in the line to check out. Not too bad since the only thing I didn't get was the bluetooth headset. It took me over an hour to check out!! What an experience. That place was so disorganized! After I left, I drove past Best Buy to check the line. They weren't even to the end of the front of the building yet. So I'm home for a break before going back to BB. I'm trying to order that bluetooth headset online but Comp's site keeps going down.

Thanks. I know they've been having free shipping. Just never had any experience with them for BF. Didn't think they'd have any specials, but was worth a shot.

Any page I try to go to at CompUSA I get "Sorry we're restocking our inventory". Wonder if that's a sign they're getting ready to post the 24hr BF sale items online?

Now that I picked up the 32" Westinghouse LCD HDTV on Sunday and plan to pick up a new video card BF, I'll need a DVI cable to connect my HTPC to the TV. Anyone know of any specials on DVI cables for BF? I know Sears had 75% off Monster cables for their Friends & Family night. Should have stopped in for that. Will they be offering the same deal tomorrow?

Anyone know if LL Bean will be having any BF specials? I have my eye on a few sweaters from there.

Yes, you should be fine. Once you have the tickets for the items you can come back up until the doorbuster sale period ends. Although I'd suggest getting back there by 11 to claim your item. Don't forget to factor in travel time. I know here it can take an hour just to get out of our mall parking lot.

I agree. I'd rather have a slimmed down interface with which I can actually read and reply to posts than one that keeps giving a server busy message.

The wind is really bad here. We're getting gusts up to 40 mph! I was pushing my Kmart cart into the cart coralle and the ad that was still in the cart went flying out. What I hate about shopping in the winter is it's so cold outside that you have to bundle up. But then you get in to the store and they have the heat cranked up. So once inside you start sweating.

I am. I live in Plum Borough. Will be heading to the CompUSA in Wilkins Twp in a couple hours myself. I haven't stepped foot in that store since I quit last BF LoL

I've never had a problem with BB rebates (other than me not sending them in time, which is my fault). When I worked there we did have a few customers with issues on rebates, but my store always took care of them and just adjusted the price on their item, giving them an instant rebate. That being said, rebates are a pain. I have all the items I want from BB except 1 in my shopping cart online. It's $470! But I'll be getting $300 in rebates.

ROFL! I was thinking the same thing. I still have several BB shirts from when I worked there. Of course, I couldn't do that at the store where I worked as all the managers there know me. Sadly, not too many employees are still there that were there when I worked there.

I just got back from Big Lots. Picked up the Queen electric blanket, 3 spiral lighted trees, a candle, candle warmer. Not too bad. There weren't many people at all. I wanted to check out the Westinghouse cordless vacuum that goes on sale tomorrow but didn't see any.

In Florida, not only will they count the tickets, but they'll recount them!

I never hit Kmart first thing in the morning. I always go in the afternoon after we have our feast. I just got back from there, actually. I picked up the Route 66 shoes for my mom at 50% off. I also picked up the bowling pin set for my nephew. It's $4.99 tomorrow, but $5.99 today. I didn't mind paying the extra buck to get it today incase I don't get there tomorrow. I also picked up 2 of the long sleeved knit shirts that were BOGO and 2 Woven shirts at 40% off. And of course, 4 2 liters of Mt Dew. Also used the $10 off $50 purchase when using the Sears card, thanks to this site!!

I might be doing more shopping online than I originally thought. I just got back from Kmart and Big Lots and BRRRR is it cold out there!!

I'll hit Kmart later today. Never been there when they open on T-day, but when I go in the afternoon there always seems to be plenty of stuff left.

Wow, I couldn't believe how thin our paper was today! Sunday's paper was 3 times thicker. Rather than say what ads I didn't get, it'd be quicker and easier to just say which ads I did get. Of the major stores: Best Buy, Kmart, Target, Sears, Kaufmann's, Macy's, Dicks. That's it!! No Circuit City, no CompUSA, no Kohls... If it wasn't for this site and already having the ads downloaded I'd be really upset.

We got snow yesterday, probably a little over an inch on the ground. Today it's coming down again. Winter weather advisory posted here. Still gonna go out to Kmart and Big Lots in a bit.

I got the same thing with Doom 3 for Xbox. It's funny. On the one page it shows that it's not available for pickup instore and available online. But then when you go to the detail page for the item it says the opposite.
