  1. Oh, there are so many fun ones for this age! Off the top of my head and not mentioned here yet are: Katie Kazoo, Dear Dumb Diary, Amazing Day of Abby Hayes, Hank Zipzer, Sideways Stories from Wayside School, Pippi Longstocking, Artemis Fowl, Molly Moon (we have a lot of books....)
  2. It was on sale here for $17.xx a while back. I still have it in my closet somewhere, I'll see if the red sticker is still on it and get back to you with a number....it was only a partial #, sorry, ripped tag.
  3. Ok, I told myself I wouldn't do it, but ended up at 3 stores today. I figured I'd be out of luck on the toy clearance, but I managed to get some nice bday gifts for the parties that always pop up (mostly thanks to all of you who posted ,so I knew what to look for away from the clearance aisles :))- Barbie 12 Dancing Princess interactive deals for $13.74 Monster Doodles for $2.48 and extra markers for $1.24 Polly Pockets, Yahtzee score pads and "hair balls" for $1 Scene It Jrs for $7.74 Dino Excavator for $3.98 Nat Geo Telescope for $6.24 Fly pen Spanish Trans. $8.74 (I was stoked about that one) Hullabaloo DVD game for $3.24 Now, if I could only stop when there are at least 2 stores I have yet to hit...... :)
  4. The Jungle Beat game is one player, but Donkey Konga 2 can play up to 4 (although I think on just 2 bongos). They have it used for $12.99 if you want to make use of at least one of those extra bongos! It's nice to have back up bongos (hee) anyway!
  5. So bummed! My Target has nothing left in Christmas (ok, I wasn't really expecting anything, but it would have been nice) and most everything else still only 30% (I scanned to double check). It's a good thing I had Rx's to pick up or I would have been completely empty carted!
  6. I ordered 2 sets on the strength of the reviews. Well, and the price :)

  8. I just ordered a bunch for gifts and easter baskets using in-store pickup (Tustin store in SoCal). They also had some other kids handheld games on sale (although the handheld "Pirates Pinball" was oos at my store) Thanks for the scoop!
  9. My kids do both. They got Webkins for Christmas and have been enjoying them, but I still see them on Neopets. Both sites let you "talk" to your friends, etc. I'd say stick with Neopets if they're happy there (and don't know about Webkins from their friends). You can buy yourself something with the money you save :)
  10. Update from OC (are there any of you out there?) - the Irvine North store has Christmas at 50% and toys at either 30% or 50%, depending on how well they sell. An employee told me that they're not marking down the top selling toys for a few more weeks!! I'm gonna try to hit the Spectrum tomorrow to see if they have better deals.
  11. You just need to click the quote button on the bottom right of the message you'd like to quote from. You can edit from there :)
  12. I had 2 things wrong in one order - both personalized items that had been scratched/sewn funny. They were wonderful about it and resent both, no questions asked. I didn't need to send anything back either. Quality stuff, too (and you can find some bargains if you check in often).
  13. Highlights from The Tonight Show, with Johnny Carson is on DVD too. Fun stuff!
  14. The kids lost interest in the pixter quickly, but the leapster is still used - anything from those leapfrog guys gets my vote!
  15. I've had problems with TRU items being cancelled, but I think it's google's fault, not TRU's. Google puts the order in too late - it doesn't take long for those great deals to disappear! I've had to call TRU 2x and they were completely helpful each time (granted the hold time was long). I had them make a note on my account that I will get the sale price the next time the item is in stock. I just have to call and request it. They have made a "refund request" as well since Goolge charged me full price (while their system shows only a charge for the item that did ship). I have to say their customer service in my situation has been perfect. I'll be glad when the google checkout discount goes away so there's no more temptation to use it!
  16. It's all about Hannah Montana here. My tween loves the soundtrack. Old Navy has non-girly clothes, too.
  17. I thought the honey bbq ribs were juicy and tasty, but agree with the lack of meat posts. Small ribs, I guess. DH likes the bourbon version.
  18. Hooray! I've been waiting for those video games to go on sale - thanks for the heads up!
  19. Not if it's on the red sticker - I wrap everything right away so snooping eyes can't find their gifts. Will it help if I track down the receipt? Also, forgive my ignorance, but what is the DCPI number and why does it help?
  20. Had to share this deal. Found the LeapFrog Fly Pen with charger for $30 on clearance, marked down from $129. Fun!!
  21. I highly doubt they'll take it. It says for the warehouse sale only and it would defeat the purpose at a fundraiser. I went to my local sale today and walked out almost $200 poorer, but with loads of great gifts from GBA games to Klutz books. Well worth the trip!!
  22. My Target (Orange County, CA) has the "Cars" version on clearance for $35. Not a great deal yet, but something to look for.
