Went to my regular CVS, STIL 50% off. The nice cashier (the one that reminds me about coupons) said it'll go sometime this week. I'll check back Tuesday. Last year I know i got some decent stuff at 90% off.

I wouldn't get an iPad as an e-reader - the Nook or Kindle is much better in sunlight due to the e-ink technology. If you are going to use the iPad for other reasons, then by all means, get it. We have the kindle. Works fine. Hubby just started subscribing to the newspaper on it - only $5/month.

I bet the dinky CVS i sometimes visit already put all their Christmas stuff away.

Still only 50% off! I went this morning and it looked like nothing had moved!

I've given up on Walgreens. They never go past 75% at my local location, and I wouldn't be surprised if they've already cleared out all the Christmas stuff.

JACKPOT! Redwood City Target: 75% on Christmas, 50% on Candy. LOTS of stuff left. Dollar Spot is gone. Cupertino Target: 75% on Christmas, 50% on Candy. EVEN MORE stuff than RWC Target! 50% on Pink Dot Dollar Spot still there! There were AISLES of Christmas items! I got tape for 0.50 (Scotch Tape.) When my Aunt went through the line the cashier tried to give her a hard time on the tape, but it was scanning as 75% off. Got a good amount of little goodies If you need ornaments, go to Cupertino, they still have a good number of them. No trees though. EDIT: I just realized the Pink Dot clearance was listed at 50%, but the pink dot item I bought (cookie cutters) came up as 75% off! Woohoo!

I've been notified that the West Sacramento Target is at 75% off with a good amount of stuff. Too bad that's over two hours away. My hope is to hit up the Target in Sunnyvale or Cupertino tomorrow. Maybe Redwood City.

I didn't want to risk it (I was at 19.10) so I was rummaging around the clearance rack for 1.00 underwear.

I used to get "Denise" a lot on my take out orders. "Denise?! Where did they get that?!" I would say to myself as I picked up the order. Then I realized... when they ask for my name, I would say "it's Cindy." I guess that's where "Denise" came from. Now I just say "Cindy."

We ordered from our favorite Japanese place on Saturday. They somehow got my name as Henry. That's great if my DAD was the one ordering...

Whatever place is open on Christmas Day. My parents aren't in town, hubs shot down my inquiry for ham or roast beef... Japanese or Chinese food it'll probably be!

Sometimes, but nothing spectacular. You'd have to dig through the bin. If I got one, I'd probably pick up a SD card, or Beauty and the Beast on Blu-Ray because I totally missed the coupon from DMR the first time around.

Allright I chickened out, the fine print on my coupon did say "not valid on sale merchandise" and the nuts were on such ridiculous sale already, I didn't do it. Nuts: 10.00 Dawn: 0.88 - 3.00 Coupon - 5.00 ECB - 0.25 Dawn Coupon (couldn't use my 0.50 one since they didn't have the Hand Renewal ones) OOP 2.68, Got 3.00 ECB back. Oh well. Good enough.

Hrm. I got a 25% off coupon today. I was going to go tomorrow morning and buy the nuts that are on sale for 3/10 plus 3.00 in ECB back. IN THEORY: 10.00 - 3.00/10.00 coupon -------------------------- 7.00 - 25% (1.75) ----------- 5.25 -5.00 ECB -------------- 0.25 + tax on 10.00 (0.93) = 1.18 OOP, get 3.00 ECB back. I doubt it'll work though. I also wish I had some coupons on Planters nuts right now!

Looking at my coupons, it says "Limit of one purchase based coupon" so probably not. But worth a try.

He's definitely way better off renting if he doesn't go that often.
