I stopped in at my local Walmart (in Indiana) around 3. The lines were just starting, but the crowd was small. By the time I left around 6:15, the store was packed & the parking lot overflowed.

There's a deal in the Target Cartwheel app for 55% off the Pitch Perfect DVD/Blu-ray today only.

There are 30 deals posted in the Target Cartwheel app as Pre-Black Friday deals for today (November 27) only. Fisher Price Hulk 50% off Monster's university figures 50% off Men's licensed sleep pants 56% off and more.

I picked up Infinity for the PS3 last night. I was hoping to find it for the wii, but the associate said there weren't anymore in the back. Of course, after checking the website, it says they are in stock at my Walmart. I wonder if they were just holding on to them until this morning like the previous poster mentioned. Oh well. I also purchased the Simon & Scrabble Flash games for $3 each.

Ditto Rural King. Last year, I stopped in to shop a few days before Christmas & the hunting department was heavily discounted. I haven't shopped there on Black Friday, but they have decent deals there throughout the year.

Looks like I might have to break with tradition & shop at Walmart on Thanksgiving.

I wonder if the whole thing gives some insight into their Black Friday ad. If it wasn't a hacker, maybe it was BF website prep gone wrong.

After a full day of Thanksgiving meals, it's off to bed for a few hours. In the early morning, Mom & I head to a neighboring town for shopping. Big box stores, like Target, come first. Then it's off to the mall followed by a fuel stop at Starbucks when day breaks. We round out the morning with craft stores & a few places that don't offer BF deals (like Dollar Tree for stocking stuffers). And finally, lunch at a favorite restaurant & then we head back home.

The Hobby Lobby in my area doesn't offer any Black Friday deals or special hours. However, the ad that week does seem to have a few more 50% off deals than usual if I remember correctly.

My all time favorites are Christmas Vacation & A Christmas Story. The Santa Clause, Home Alone, & Christmas with the Kranks are right up there too.

They had 5 days of deals (starting on Black Friday) on their website last year, so I'd keep checking there. You might also check out the Black Friday sales at Sephora & Ulta.

I'm a sucker for the cheap DVDs & almost always bring a few home for myself.

I love spending the day with my mom. Cheesy & true. We strategize our shopping and always have fun!

I go shopping with my mom on Black Friday. We keep it fun and try not to get too serious about the sales. After the marathon shopping, we grab a bite to eat at our favorite local restaurant and head home. I look forward to the tradition every year!

I'm not a fan. I skipped Walmart's last year & slept like a baby through the midnight sale. By the time I arrived that morning, those that had been in the store all night were walking around like zombies. Is the consensus that there will be more stagger sales this year?

we usually hit up the stores in town early in the morning, then take those goods back home, and grab breakfast on the go while we're on our way to the next town to do even more shopping. :)

hello from indiana! my sister and i will be heading out early on black friday to check out the deals. she's the only one who will brave the crowds with me. being a "poor college student" i never seem to have much to spend on black friday, but i enjoy spending (and getting more for) every penny of what i do have! ha thank goodness for gotta deal!

i just kind of store mine in a box in my closet, but my parents hide them randomly through out our garage. one year, after purchasing a lot of "big" presents, they took everything to my grandparents house to hide. and another year, mom was careless with where she hid things and i accidentally found about 5 of my presents. :) i still acted surprised on christmas morning though.

i listen to christmas music year round. but i start to play it a lot mid october. i also like to pull out the christmas/winter movies year round. especially during the summer on a hot humid day. :)

my mom and i tried hosting one last year. we only had a few ladies show up, but it was a lot of fun! it was really nice seeing my mom just sit back and relax during the holiday with a few of her good friends. AND we still ended up with several dozen cookies to save when visitors came by. i think that sugar cookies are my favorite to make and take because they are so much fun to decorate!:)
