  1. Hmm..can't use the $5 off $25 coupon though... -Mark-
  2. For the past couple years, bro and I have gone to Radio Shack last. There is one that is kind of out in the middle of nowhere in an otherwise abandoned shopping center (all other stores there are closed down), so we can usually get what we want there even if we get there late. A couple years ago, we didn't get there until around 11:45 and were still able to get all the doorbuster deals we wanted. -Mark-

  4. Heh. I think you're a little backwards. Here's the timeline if they do this sale again this year: 11/23: 6 PM to Midnight 11/24: Closed all day 11/25: Midnight to Midnight So unless you're planning on breaking into the store at 9 PM on Thanksgiving Day, you will have to wait outside until their BF sale starts. -Mark-
  5. Hmm, where do I begin? - Lying to people about what you get with their replacement plans - Not honoring their own return policy - Selling previously opened merchandise as "new" - Adding the 8 free issues of Sports Illustrated, etc, without the customer's consent - False advertising in prices in ads (i.e. saying an item is $100 after rebate, when the rebate was a gift card) - Failing to honor legitimite coupons ...just to name a few things. -Mark-
  6. Go to www.myrewardzone.com and log in. There should be something right on the front page that says "choose your double points category" or something like that. -Mark-
  7. CompUSA will have both a Sirius receiver and an XM receiver for free after rebate. -Mark-
  8. Yeah...that Reward Zone thing kind of bugged me because I had already paid for my membership, and then I just got switched to the "free" version of the program, meaning I now need to spend $100 more ($250 instead of $150) to get a $5 certificate. However, I noticed that you get to choose one category of items (i.e. games, movies) that you always get double points on. So what we've done is we had every member of our family join for free and we each chose a different category. That way, when I want to buy a game or two, I'll use the account that gets double points on games. When I want to buy some movies, I'll use the account that gets double points on movies. So it actually works out being a little better than the pay-for membership if I do it all perfectly. -Mark-
  9. I still don't see that as being the reason. Every other part of Ohio (Cincinnati, Cleveland, etc) had the doorbusters last year. And these doorbusters don't exactly violate any kind of term that was in the lawsuit... -Mark-
  10. Note to all Columbus residents here!! Do not get your hopes up for the doorbusters. For the past 2 years, the Best Buys in the central Ohio area have abandoned the doorbusters and offered a ridiculous gift card offer instead (i.e. $15 GC for every $100 spent before 12 noon). This includes the Tuttle Crossing location, the Polaris location, the Morse location, and others. They may change this year, but right now I would say to not get your hopes up with these. I was very excited about a digital camcorder last year as a doorbuster but then found out on Thanksgiving, when I actually got my local newspaper and saw that the front page of the ad did not have the doorbusters on it, that I was out of luck. -Mark-
  11. Unless you can find a very generous person here at GottaDeal, I'm afraid I think you're out of luck. -Mark-
  12. Since they open at midnight, it won't be like any other store on BF that I can ever remember. I was planning on getting there at like 11 PM... I wonder how many other people will already be there by then. -Mark-
  13. Hehe; yep, same here -Mark-
  14. lol; how long have you lived in Missouri? -Mark-
  15. Was considering making one of these myself, but I could not have done better than what you have here (format, etc). Nice job! -Mark-
  16. If you want to eat Thanksgiving dinner early, you could always go to McDonald's! They're open until 3 PM -Mark-
  17. Yes...in fact, the mall ones are pretty much the only JC Penneys I've ever seen. -Mark-
  18. I've gotten each one since 2002. They have been different each year. In the past, they've opened at 5 AM. -Mark-
  19. Apparently they're doing a very good job keeping their sales under-wraps. -Mark-
  20. Ha, that's kind of funny. I remember a conversation with my mom from before I could drive: Me: Mom, can we go out shopping on Black Friday? Mom: Are you NUTTTTSSS???? I'm not going out in that!!!!!! Yeah; roles are a bit reversed here. If only my mom were as into Black Friday as you were. -Mark-
  21. JCP has opened at 5 AM for the past 3 years around here. But with Best Buy opening at 5 AM as well, that kind of messes up my plans. -Mark-
  22. Yep, Ross, when it comes to who can spend more time talking about a bunch of random stuff, not even I can hold a candle to you -Mark-
  23. Well, that certainly makes me feel better -Mark-
  24. I'm suddenly becoming everyone's favorite whipping boy around here... -Mark-
  25. Cool! That is my local affiliate! Too bad I never watch their news... -Mark-
