  1. Get ready for all the Thanksgiving Day sales and prepare to spend any spare time you have double-planning your Black Friday schedule! -Mark-
  2. I'll be heading out right after The Apprentice, at 11 PM, to get to CompUSA's midnight opening. -Mark-
  3. Best Buy ads now show up on their website shortly after 3 AM (EST) on the day they're published. They used to be available right after midnight, but I guess they just hated the idea of west coast people being able to access the ads 3 hours before the official day the sales started... And just so you know, their site does not usually go down while they're putting up the new ad. It's run by a third-party website, so it has no effect on the BestBuy.com domain itself. -Mark-

    MEDIA PLAY!

It didn't get leaked last year either. I guess people just aren't as interested in that one..although MP is always on my Black Friday list. -Mark-
  5. They do publish the ad online at BestBuy.com (through the "weekly ad" link). It should be available at 3 AM EST (midnight PST) -Mark-
  6. Reminding Aaron to update list for Meijer -- doorbusters from 5 AM to Noon. -Mark-
  7. What I can't understand is why any guy would carry a wallet in his back pocket. I've always put my wallet in my front pocket. It's much easier to access it that way and you also don't really have to worry about being pickpocketed. But there I go having common sense again -Mark-
  8. It's so close!! But yet so far away..... -Mark-
  9. Last year, I found out on Thanksgiving Day, at around 1:00 AM when Best Buy posted the Black Friday ad on their website. My ad showed no doorbuster deals, and when I got the actual paper later that morning and saw the ad, the horror was confirmed - no doorbusters. Best Buy CEO --> <-- Me -Mark-
  10. Hooray! I was just about to go to bed, but now I have a reason to stay up. Thank you! -Mark-
  11. Based on my experience with sales associates, I'd say many of them don't have to "play" -Mark-
  12. Hmm..looks like this mall is in Canton, OH. IMO, not worth the 2 hour drive from Columbus for me. -Mark-
  13. I would gladly give up this terrible cold I have right now -Mark-
  14. I don't think any store that we know of so far will have that on sale on BF. -Mark-
  15. Heh. Good point. Avoid trying this with any appliance that is listed as an open item -Mark-
  16. Is GottaDeal a Toys R Us affiliate? Just want to make sure that when I buy something, I do it through the correct link. -Mark-
  17. That's right. And with Wal-Marts right in the vicinity of all Best Buys here, I wonder if Best Buy's going to be idiotic enough not to have the doorbusters (read: the $379 and $149 laptop/desktop) again this year... -Mark-
  18. ? Are you talking about the Columbus Dispatch?? *Runs to double-check today's paper* -Mark-
  19. I'm talking about ads that aren't already posted here on GottaDeal, by the way. -Mark-
  20. Still a few ads out there I'm waiting for. Are we just going to have to wait for them ourselves? I know some of the smaller communities don't get a paper on Thanksgiving, so they get all the ads on Wednesday. Any chance of being able to host the ad scans here if people submit them tomorrow? -Mark-
  21. If you're in central Ohio, there's a very good chance that Best Buy will not have any of the doorbusters. Check out this thread (from last year) for more information: http://forums.gottadeal.com/showthread.php?t=4082 -Mark-
  22. Anytime I see my name in bold in one of RossMAN's posts, I know I've done something right (or I've done something really terrible ). I sent about 675 envelopes this year (a new record for me for this contest -- did around 550 last year and only about 200 the first year). I got well over $1,100 in Best Buy Bucks. So far, I've gotten a Roomba Scheduler, several new video games, many DVDs (online), a cool swivel-base DVD storage tower, XM Roady2, XM Roady home kit, $55 XM gift card, a tablet/mouse, and a deep fryer. I've still got $300 (the limit per transaction) for Black Friday, plus about $150 to use between then and Dec 3, when they expire. I've also got $190 in gift cards coming from purchases I made online that netted me free gift cards, for which I paid entirely in BB Bucks. Add in the prizes from the online game I won this year and I've ended up with 6 times the amount of money I invested in stamps/envelopes -Mark-
