It was around 98 or 99 I don't remember exactly -- but back then sometime. Those were the good old days. I remember getting all my stocking stuffers for free. Barnes and Noble, Amazon -- just about all of them gave out $5 off $5 or $10 off $10 and it could apply to shipping. Plus I was a member of something called Mypoints -- basically back then all you had to do was open an email and you got points -- then the points could be redeemed for g/c's to different stores, you got to choose. I remember one year I had $150 g/c for TRU and got the kids nintendo gameboys and games for free on bf thanks to mypoints!!! Ahhhh the good ole' days!!!!!

I love it when things work out. I managed to find an I-Dog for my daughter the other day at Media Play -- the last one. I was at work and my mom went and picked it up for me.

My brother was 9 when he caught my mom filling the stockings -- and since she felt that he would tell me anyway she had a talk with me the next day. I was 8.

Kids birthdays coming up in Jan. and Feb. (whoever planned it that way should be shot!!! LOL) I'm with you -- I love clearance too!

Kmart is the one store in my area that is never busy. Once in a while I'll go in and see if I can find anything. 9 times out of 10 -- I don't. After Christmas clearance is pretty good there because nobody goes.

Christmas Eve -- midnight (I guess you could call it Christmas day)

one at a time -- that way we can see the reactions from the people!! Stockings are usually done 1st -- but this year may be different since both kids are getting vid. now and we were going to put the PVD's for it in the stockings (glad we figured they would catch on to what they got if we did it that way)!!!

None -- way to much trouble that way. However, we catch up on our bills for the next couple of months.

I don't like buying clothes for Christmas -- that's a necessity (unless the kids want $100 pair of shoes or something else outrageously priced!)

I buy our cat Sammy gifts. I haven't spent more then $20 on her. Treats and rubber "bouncy" balls (the little ones) -- she thinks she's a dog and plays fetch with them, barks and growls too. She gets a real attitude if you don't throw them far enough!

We have a work room attached to the garage so everything went in there with a padlock on the door. It was actually kinda funny though because we went out on BF bought a whole bunch of stuff. Told the kids later that day we had to go back out,went out to the car, ran back in to tell them something and caught them "sneaking" downstairs to look for what we had just bought!!! The looks on their faces when I opened that door -- it was priceless!! I told them they would have to try harder -- I didn't make it that easy! My daughter finally figured it out about a day later when she saw the lock on the workroom door.

This is a great deal!! We have dish networks DVR as well. I love it!!!! We use it all the time. It's great when the kids ask (on a school) night to stay up and watch a show -- I tell them to just record it and watch it later.

honestly teebee -- I don't know. I thought we were going to have a problem trying to pm last night without the ad from TRU and it being a % off sale, but we didn't. All you can do is try, but I would bring the print out with you just incase. Or call frist. If they won't let you -- return it and go buy it at Big Lots!!

Every year I spend a lot of money on them. It's worth it -- both are A students -- My daughter is on the basketball team and my son is trying out for swimming tomorrow!!! I set limits every year and every year I have so much fun blowing right past them!!

noehlp -- I was with cathysafr when we got this deal -- and yes it's the 3 video now set that you are asking about. The only ones that didn't ring up at $11 were the "fear factor" -- but you might want to scan before going up front!!!

My Walmart layaways are already picked up. I hate having to wait until the last min. to do it, you end up standing in line for 4 hours.

day after Christmas shopping is great!!! With the kids b-days coming up in Jan and Feb -- it's a perfect time to check out the clearance items!!!
