  1. Can you list as many items as you want? I can't find the announcement on their site...but have been waiting for a listing sale; thanks!!
  2. I found a ton of crafty type stuff today there -- craft sticks (tongue depressers) 500ct for $.34, sticker books with 500 stickers for $1.48 (I bought a few and sent them into the preschool/kindergarten class) and the knitting kits (how to knit) for tween girls; jewelry making, etc. were all marked at 50% off at least; lots of "color by number" and "paint by number" stuff was clearanced too. Great for easter basket stuffing. scrapbooking stuff was all on sale too -- really decent prices...it's a shame, b/c I don't do scrapbooking...LOL.
  3. I found a kick-ass pair of heeled boots there on 50% off -- only one size left, MINE! I couldn't believe it. Not only that, but they were 50% off the orig. price, and then another 50% off when I rang them up...I floated out of there!!! LOL
  4. I have been finding some really nice women's clothes when I go in (which is odd, b/c there's usually nothing left in the small sizes on the 75% off rack, which is the only one I'll even look at, as I certainly don't need MORE clothes -- unless they're 75% off ) A week ago I found two really nice (church-worthy) t-neck sweaters with nice detailing on the sleeves and neck for $3.xx each -- today, I found almost a full rack of "the ultimate turtleneck" for $2.48each -- I bought two, will see how they hold up and go back if possible (i'm a t-neck addict when the temp drops below...oh, 60 or so) Oh, and I should add -- the Champion compression-type long underwear was on clearance back in mens -- I would have loved to grab a couple for DH, but they were all outta black -- plenty of blue and gray tho; that Champion line of drymax and the like really hold up to a beating (and by "beating" I mean serious abuse)
  5. I popped in alone today and found kids t-necks (several colors/sizes) for $1.24 each mens sweaters (lightweight) for $4.98 sterelite cake transporter (green base, white top) for $4.98 and the best -- boys snowboard pants for $4.98! good on clothes, not so much on everything else; didn't even go into toys...can't look at another toy aisle for a few months
  6. I'm a scrooge -- my son (6) wants this for Christmas, and I refuse to spend that much on one present for a 6yo...LOL, so I got him the "un robot" one that usually sells for $14.99 on sale at Meijer for $6.88...I don't know if he knows all about the robotics involved in it or not...I don't think he does...so I'm hoping this and the Darth Mal lightsaber (which was $25, but I know it will get TONS more use) will do the trick this year...
  7. Thanks Brad!!! We bought one; this is by far the cheapest I've seen that particular item -- the other day it was $69.99 at Wally World -- I almost bought it; glad I waited!! This will make the two day trip much more enjoyable!
  8. No, you're right; supply/demand -- I get that, I just miss when Kohls carried the less popular stuff, b/c pretty much everything was cheaper at Kohls, but it's just not that way for me anymore (being the type who doesn't care what the tag says; esp for my kids, kwim? So long as it's not made of something awful, the name brand isn't an issue)
  9. Can you use these on gift cards? I'm thinking of a bb&b card for a cousin who's in college
  10. They were on the endcap by the milk/food area (just up past the electronics section...meaning if you only looked in the iPod/game systems etc. area, you missed them by about two aisles) -- flute and clarinet marked to $139, violin at $89.....my DS is infatuated with the violinist at church...it was tempting to say the least...LOL!
  11. I should add thanks to RealLivPrincs for the tips and advice -- I didn't mean to go off on a rant like that...sorry!
  12. Ok, is it just me, or does it seem like Kohls is getting more and more "let's mark things up first, so we can then mark them down for a big advertised sale" ?? I used to find great prices at Kohls no matter where I turned, but now I never seem to find deals -- even the 80% off rack is still too high -- take little girls t-shirts; 50% off on a cotton t-shirt makes it $7??? Sorry but that's still much higher than I could find other places, and it's not a "name brand" of any sort either -- I've just stopped shopping there unless there's something seriously WOW to go in for. It's a shame too, b/c they have such nice selection, but I just can't make myself pay those prices -- and shoes have been disappointing too -- the kids shoe prices are like shopping at Stride Rite or Finish Line -- I wish they'd go back to the old way of doing business, but I guess there's overhead with all the new ones opening up etc...
  13. Yup -- it's that last one -- I checked (in the past two days, blech!) CVS, Walgreens, KMart, and BedBath&Beyond....nuthin. Grrr... If I can't find them in time, I may just get the first link, the stick and click ones...
  14. Thanks all! -- I've checked RiteAid, Walgreens and CVS online...no luck...think I'll stop into the local walgreens to see if they have them in person. Those touch lights one person posted are too big for our needs, but thankyou for the reference. I like the "pull the drawer open, the light comes on" feature the best...hmmm...gotta keep looking
  15. I think I'd like to be a sucker, and get the Quik-Brite lites for my DH...he's always fumbling around in the dark to get dressed without waking me up (I sleep like the dead, but he's very considerate anyway!) -- Anyone ever order thru them or similar "tv overstock" type places? I'm leery...go figure.
  16. My experience has been that when you enter the first three numbers or so...nothing happens (the screen remains "scan" or whatever it says) -- but if you just keep inputting the numbers, the screen eventually shows what you've put in; so just punch in the whole number without wondering about the rest, hit "enter" and it should come up -- there are tons of those things that are broken tho...so you never know...he he... what I do is write down the codes on all the stuff I'm interested in, then park myself in front of a scanner for a few minutes, and figure out what's on sale -- saves me having to load things into the cart only to return them to the shelves if there's not a deal worthy...kwim?
  17. Ok, I think this will probably please Gator Pam....LOL (along the veins of "hooked") -- Last night I dreamed that I was shopping, and saw these body pillows (interestingly enough, I was not at Target...I think it was a thrift shop, my other addiction) and was desperately trying to find contact info for Joanne...LOL!!
  18. I scored lipgloss heaven at the dollar spot, but I scanned the seal a meals and nothing, the waffle irons, nothing, and couldn't find darn near anything I was hoping to find... Not a total loss, but I was kind of hoping to grab the waffle maker (always wanted one, never wanted to shell out bucks for it)
  19. Or if you want to buy refurb from apple -- we got DH's nano that way for $100 -- he's pretty happy
  20. at my wally world, the school supplies were in the same aisle as the clearance but not marked down -- a couple of items were, but nothing good. LOL -- I did find my son's summer clothes marked down in the boys dept (those great playclothes that you don't care if they get destroyed -- lightweight sleeveless t-shirts, shorts, etc.) -- for $2 and $3 -- so I grabbed a bunch of those too for next summer
  21. If you ask my 3yo about Bratz, she'll say "we don't like Bratz, because I don't need any help in that depaatment, do I Mommy??!!" -- LMAO
  22. My target had the HP camera/printer at $127, but reading elsewhere that it may go down further between tonight and tomorrow, I'm going to wait. It would be as a gift, so I'm not hell bent on getting it...it is nice tho, and if I can grab it for $45, I most definitely will!
  23. I went into my target today (dayton) and found desk lamps - halogen for $3.98 - -got one for my 5yo for his birthday (hey, it can't all be toys, right?) I also got a waterpik showerhead - the waterfall kind for $4.98; bought DH a pair of running shorts from Champion, the kind with the "inner underwear" for $6.98 and also noticed that the spiderman tent bed thing was back on the main shelves for $29.99 -- a week ago I bought two of them for $3.75/ea. Go figure... Anyway, my strategy is to walk the store sideways -- from left to right starting at the back and working my way forward. I found most of the best clearance endcaps to be on the "facing away from the front doors" side of the aisles on the horizontal...but that's just me, and I'm a newbie to this perimeter perusing thing!
  24. SCORE!! I got the spiderman tent for my son and it was marked $3.75! There were two left, so I grabbed them both... thanks for the tip guys! I also found a nice v-neck tshirt from mossimo for me for $1.98 So happy!!!
  25. Mine had boys summer shirts and shorts by mossimo for 70% off -- I got a few shirts for $1.48 each, and a pair of mossimo shorts for $2.48 for next year. My DH thinks I'm some sort of sage...LOL -- I just wander while the kids are in am pre and Kindy -- a newfound freedom for me!!
