  1. I bid on the item with a very low bid just to get it in "My Ebay." Then I will search ebay to see if there is something similar with a decent "Buy It Now" price. If not I will watch the item and put in my max bid during the last few min.
  2. My son just turned 5. Here is his list of "I want that." Hot Wheels- anything Power Rangers- SPD Morpher, SPD Patrol Cycle, Sword thing (sorry I don't know what it is called), anything else Spiderman- tripple action web blaster, light-up mask, anything else Starwars- built your own light saber, action figures Lincon Logs, Legos, Knex', RC cars, balls (sports stuff) Just remember when buying for a 5 year old.... Its not the amount you spend but how many presents they get.
  3. I thought it might be nice to have a thread with all the stuff at walmart that is rining up at BF prices already. Please add what you find.
  4. DH gets a bonus but I have no idea what it is. This will be his second year and last year bonuses were cut do to a lack of funds (he works at a church and they were building a large sancuary).
  5. We do. I buy special wrapping paper for the stocking stuff from "Santa." This way they get to unwrap someinthing at home Christmas morning.
  6. Just a side note: Micheals has clear glass votive holders for pretty cheap. I like the applesause idea. I think we will try this with my kids.
  7. We put a baby monitor in the kids room so we can hear when they wake up. Then its off to the livingroom to see what Santa brought.
  8. Best Buy for me also. I would get a TV, Home Theater set, Washer and Dryer, Refridgerator, DVDs and CDs. I wouldn't even take my cart until I got to the DVDs. I would just take those little slips and put them in my pocket.
  9. We put everyones (G-ma, Aunts, Uncles, friends) gifts out as soon as they are wrapped. Santa doesn't wrap at my house his "elves" bring and assemble the gifts after the kids go to sleep on Christmas eve.
  10. You could print a pisture of the one you like online. Take that to the craft store and ask someone to help you get what you need to make it.
  11. I always tell DH what I want and where to get it. He usually gets me that. He learned a lesson a few years ago when he bought me jeans 2 sizes too big. I cried- he felt like crap- we were in the return line a few days later.
  12. I regift almost every year. I am alergic to perfume and scented body lotion and DHs Aunt gets me this stuff every year. I have mentioned to her several times I can't use the stuff but she still gets it for me. Grandma-in-law also likes to wear Pleasures perfume (the worste in my book) every Christmas and wonders why I am always sitting across the room.
  13. No. We start putting them up in late nov and take them down early jan.
  14. That would be a crack-up. I can totally picture it. My grandma hung hers from the cealing one year. I was little and thought it was awsome.
  15. What is "snow"? I live in Southern California, about 60 miles from the beach, we do not get much snow here.
  16. Hot Chocolate with a mini candy cane in it.
  17. I have held the place in the law-a-way line for shoppers in front and behind me so they could finish their Walmart shopping. I also ALWAYS give my cart to someone with a lot of stuff before leaving a store and I let people trying to find a parking spot where I am parked so they can get my spot when I pull out.
  18. I think they pull the ads to create more publicity. If you here an ad was just pulled you will rush to your computer and email everyone you know that may have it. Then they create this frenzie among people getting more publicity then if they just allowed the ad to stay. People are more intersted in the "forbidden" then the "allowed."
  19. I didn't notice the free after rebate stuff. I might have to find a Ace around here.
  20. Last year they limited the amount of wall flowers you could get at that price. They also have awsome sales after Christmas. I stocked up then. I have about 5 B&BW gift set ready to give. And yes you have to keep an eye out for their BF ad. I bet it will be here soon enough.
  21. My sister lives 6 miles from North Pole, Alaska. She has a friend write a letter to each of my kids then mails them from the North Pole. The kids love it.
  22. I make DH help me wrap. I do hide his from him.
  23. A scavenger hunt sounds cool.
  24. We buy a tree the first tuesday of Dec. (I only have tuesdays off). Then deecorate the house and drink hot chocolate. The tuesday before Christmas wse have dinner at my house with friends, my mom, sister, brothers, MIL and, BIL. Christmas eve we open our family gifts. Christmas morning is Santa gifts then off to FILs housefor early dinner then off to work for me. DH usually stays overnight at FILs house and they stay up playing X-box. A few days after Christmas we head off to DHs Grandmas house for Christmas with that side of the family. I do not like my family so we do not see them for Christmas.
  25. We have Christmas at home with friends a few days before Christmas. My mom and brothers and sister come to that. Then Christmas eve we have our gift opening. Christmas morning is Santa gifts then we head off to FILs house. A few days after Christmas we go to DHs Grandmas house for Christmas with that side of the family. I do no like my extended family much so we do not see them. I usually spend Thanksgiving with them before heading off to work.
