This is one of my favorite ham recipes: Rootbeer glazed ham Ingredients 1 (4 lb) cured smoked ham 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard 3/4 cup dark brown sugar 24 ounces barq root beer (two cans) 1 1/2 tablespoons tabasco caribbean style steak sauce 6 cloves 1 cinnamon stick 1/2 orange, juice and zest of 1/2 lemon, rind of Directions 1 Preheat oven to 350 degrees. 2 Place the ham in a broiling pan and cut shallow gashes in a criss-cross pattern across the top half. 3 Combine the brown sugar and the dry mustard and pat it all over the ham. 4 Put the ham in the oven. 5 Combine all the other ingredients in a saucepan. 6 Bring the mixture to a boil, then lower to a simmer, and cook until the liquid volumne is reduced to about one cup. 7 Strain. 8 Spoon some of the glaze over the top of the ham. 9 Spoon more glaze, at 15-minute intervals, until it is all gone. 10 Continue baking until the ham reaches an internal temperature of 160-degrees on a meat thermometer. 11 Remove from oven and allow to rest for about one hour before carving.

I'd make him some cookies and put them in a nice tin. Hey, he knows how much you make - he shouldn't expect much.

or you can just order dessert to bring up your total. I always just assumed that tips were not included in the gift certificate amount and they had to paid on top of that.

The Body Shop makes a hand lotion with Hemp that is awesome as it is waterproof. I know that people who constantly have their hands in water are always looking for something to keep their hands smooth.

it also depends on my many drug stores you have in your area - if it's really competitive - they are more flexible. I know here our CVS will take anyone's script transfer script coupon and it doesn't even have to be a transfer.

if it were me, I'd be trying again to return it on December 26th.

not to threadjack - but have you seen a copy of 17 magazine lately? I picked up one in the ortho office the other day and it was NOT a magazine for anyone younger than 18 IMHO. There were articles about sex, birth control, etc. I was floored! It was definately not the 17 magazine from when I was a teen! Maybe I'm just a prude, but I would not want DD17 or DD14 reading that! Here are a few other suggestions: 14 year old girl: Now 29 - CD Narnia, Prince Capsian - DVD a small makeup kit gift card to your local mall some really nice smelling shampoo and conditioner body wash and a bath sponge disposable razors and shaving cream Dad disposable razors and shaving cream gift card to local drugstore - CVS or Walgreens Christmas tie grocery store gift card pizza delivery gift cards It's so hard because you don't know their financial situation. I said the CD, but I would hope she would have a CD player - same thing for the DVD. You just never know. Maybe if you got the CD, you could also get her an inexpensive CD player.

DD14 and DD17 will never get me to admit anything about Santa. But I've told them when they tell me they don't believe, the Santa gifts stopped coming.
