  1. Blu ray player Bose wave radio w/cd player (fat chance) Batman Origins PS3 Man of Steel Blu ray Tall book case 65 gallon trash can
  2. So far, I haven't seen much to interrupt my turkey dinner. That 50" Element LCD at Target is something to think about, but it would be for a bedroom and it's a bit big. Okay Best Buy I'm looking for games around $30 and Bose wave radio around $300. Maybe it's my wants are not realistic making the ads seem less than stellar.
  3. For Xbox games, don't forget to look at Microsoft store site deals. Last year BF, I got several different new releases for $15 plus the ability to buy on line, I thought I hit the mother lode. I didn't find out about the Microsoft deals until about 2 days before Thanksgiving. I don't see them listed yet, but I'm watching for sure.
  4. Walmart on line has it for 249 w/50 ecard =200 today I would purchase it and if you find one cheaper BF, return it. I purchased the same similar bundle except it came with 2 games last year for 200 from Target. Microsoft did a deal on them last year on BF too for about the same price so there's another place to watch. Now the question is 4 or 250 hard drive. I can tell you I purchased the 4 with the thought I could use a thumb drive for the extra storage needed for an older Star Wars game. Didn't work. For what I wanted it for, I should have went with the larger hard drive space. It's fine for all the other games, but didn't work for the main game I bought it for. (Game was never released on PS2 or PS3) Hint- If there are particular games you want the xbox for, make sure they work with the configuration you are looking at buying.
  5. At the Target last year, they hired private security to handle the event. There were ropes directing the line around the side of the store. They had hummers parked in front blocking the doors with only the door with the rope available. Then they had another cop car right beside the roped area in the front. The only way to jump line was to go under the cars. Then if that wasn't enough they had 3 in full riot gear in front walking. They had additional 6 people for line control. Target associates gave out maps and numbers to those in line who wanted the items that were limited. Along with the maps, they gave out free samples and coupons. When the doors opened, they let 40 people in every 5 minutes or so. There was no rush on the door. Inside they were fully staffed and had associates by the door busters helping and restocking. Target planned for it and was ready. I felt safe the whole time I waited in line and no line jumpers. First year I had seen security in riot gear.
  6. It use to be Thanksgiving I got my kids list, compared it to my which door buster list I was going to hit and headed out after 5 or 6 hours sleep. Now I get the list a few days before Thanksgiving, I take my laptop in the kitchen and stayed glued to gottadeal to let me know when the sales were going live. I try to get all I can on line verses brick and mortar. I do not want to shop at midnight that night when I got up that morning at 6 AM to start cooking. I agree with BGndr, what's up with all the itty bitty kids at midnight shopping? Black Friday is a crazy adult shopping time. It's not for kids.
  7. They would make more money from me if they did, but I think it's like not shopping on Sunday- a thing of the past. It's been coming down the pike since Kmart started having Thanksgiving sales and people actually showed up. I still love Black Friday and would not miss it. I'm just saying the stores would make more money from me if I shopped all day into night instead of a few hours. Before I could go to bed for 5 to 6 hours, get up for door busters and shop til I dropped. Now I'm up to cook my turkey and before the day is over shopping a bit.
  8. Have people enter by when they became members and pick so many per year of membership.
  9. Is it like a room air conditioner which has to have it's own circuit and a special 3 prong? How about the electric bill? I've been thinking about one but don't know anyone who has one. If it pulls the juice, wouldn't the electronics and the heater trip the circuit?
  10. No problem with line jumpers in my last 10 years of Black Friday shopping. I've done Target and Walmart different years. Target is better organized and only permits so many people in at a time with no running allowed. They give out maps to where to find the door busters and numbers for the limited items. First come, first serve. I get there 2 hours before Target opens and it's good. Walmart around here is 24 hours so everybody is already in and hovered around the specials which are wrapped. It's a free for all as the store associates try to get the wrapping off. No jumping line just people pushing and knocking people out of the way. I normally only decided on 1 door buster, find it and wait until it's unwrapped. If there's other items I'll go look for them, but I only plan on the one. It's a zoo so I get in and get out.
  11. I would wait. If nothing else Target normally does a buy 2, get 1 free 2 weeks before Christmas. (At least they have for last 3 years) Also Walmart, Target, Microsoft and Amazon had new release games cheap last Christmas. Last year it was the new Halo, Assassins Creed, and Forsa. Although you might have an issue. I'm not sure exact which stores carry the grand theft series, I know some stores will not carry the games
  12. When the PS3 first came out, it was $499. Walmart did a ridiculous deal with a Walmart gift card bringing the cost to $200. That same PS3 is still kicking today just like brand new, no problems. Now if Walmart were to do the same deal with the new PS4, I'ld probably get one. At the +$400 price, I'll pass. I am looking for deals on the new Batman game and the new racing game. I'm hoping Target, Amazon, Microsoft or Walmart come through. I hoping for $35 or cheaper. Last year between Microsoft and Walmart I purchased 8 games for $110 I had budgeted for. I got the then new racing game for $15 which was selling normally for $59. Keeping my fingers crossed!
  13. If it was me, I would wait until closer BF. If I got before BF, I would be so excited I would have to give it to her before Christmas.
  14. I"ll be looking for 32" or 40 " 1080p 120 smart tv for around $150. What time do you think the stores will be opening? Do you spend more money when they open at 6:00 AM or when the stores open at midnight? When they opened at 6, I was out for the day. Opening at Midnight, I get what's on the list and call it a day.
  15. I will not shop Thanksgiving no matter what they have on sale or give away. Now Black Friday hours starting earlier, where's the line. Me and my money will be there. If you want to preserve Black Friday as the biggest shopping day of the year with the best deals, you to will need to shop Black Friday and convince the retailers Black Friday is the day. Not Thanksgiving... I live near a ToyRus and the new in store layaway program has the parking lot full. I would think that program will show more $$ than opening Thanksgiving Day if the traffic is any indicator.
  16. Watch the Pokemon one requires having DS version players downloaded. Unless you have DS with previous versions, don't get this game. The game party game is awesome.
  17. Electronics without receipt, no return. Electronics outside 45 day window, no return no exception. If you shop the last of October, first week of November for Christmas you are stuck. No return/exchange with no exception. No wonder they are struggling. They should be. Their policy sucks.
  18. I bought the buy 2, get 1 free. One game come to find out is best if you have a previous version. Didn't have the previous version, so took unopened game with receipt to exchange for another game which was cheaper. Yes to trade down. No exchanges or returns on any electronics outside of 45 day window NO EXceptions! I said trade down, unopened with receipt within 48 days. Manager said NO exceptions. I said the return policy was ridiculos for toy store with such a return policy around Christmas shopping holidays. He told me to leave his store or he would have me arrested. Look it was a video game. I wasn't cussing, yelling nor was I in his face. Leave or he would have me arrested. No way will I ever drive in that parking lot let alone step foot in ToyRus. Buy at ToyRus at your own risk.

    instore pick up

Most City's had lines wrapped around the building. People camped out since the day before. If you were a customer who had stood in line, would you have understood seeing the product on a shelf with a hold sticker? Order the product on line and have it shipped for free. Don't put yourself through the hassel of store pick up on the biggest, busiest shopping day of the year.

  22. My parents were depression era kids. Fresh citrus fruit and chocolate was a real treat. Growing up, the tradition continued. It still continues with a little varation. Now we have Harry and David's chocolate covered blueberries, and cherries. Also M&Ms in the tube with the ornament on top is a must.23 years of the M&M tubes, I think it's time to do a M&M tree.
