Do you have pets? I have 3 indoor dogs, and the Dyson has been great in helping to pick up all the dog hair. I previously owned an Oreck for 15 years. I am amazed at what this vacuum picks up everytime that I vacuum. If you don't have dogs, you won't need the Animal version of the Dyson.

Have you tried switching the LNT shipping option to delivery at the store? I thought that the shipping would be free if sent to the store for pickup. I just vacuumed with my DC17. I am still amazed at the hair and dirt in my house with 3 dogs and 2 girls...

Sorry, I may not understand what you have been asking. You can file on-line, but I think it's another $10 or $15 to file. The software actually will guide you through all of your return. The software is really to get your return ready to file. After completing your return, you can file on-line by paying a fee, or you can actually print out your return and mail it. I always file on-line if I am getting a refund. It will speed up the refund process by filing on-line. I think that I would mail my return if I owed money!

You can check on the outside of the box, but I bet you have to pay to file. They used to offer a rebate on the filing fee, but I haven't seen that rebate in the last couple of years. Thanks for reminding me to use my coupon, OP! I almost forgot.

I absolutely love Costco. I have been a member for over 6 years. They have all sorts of great quality items other than bulk food items. I also love their customer service. I think I remember having a conversation with the cashier as he was explaining to buy gift cards for friends for Costco. I have loved my glasses that I purchased at Costco. It took about 4 days to get the glasses, but they were so cheap! They have all kinds of designer frames, etc. I have heard that you do NOT have to be a Costco member to use the pharmacy.

I love my Dyson DC 17. I also got mine at LNT. I wish that they had offered the $50 gift card when I purchased my Dyson. I am still in amazement every time that I vacuum.

I still haven't used the attachments to my Dyson yet. I am very mechanically challenged. The Dyson does feel so heavy to me after my lightweight Oreck. Any pointers on using the attachments?

I have the Absolute Animal model, so mine may work differently than yours. When I have trouble on an area rug, it is because I still have it on the bare floor setting. Did you change the setting to carpet? (I push a button that is to the right of my red on/off button for changing carpet/floor settings.) The one negative about Dyson is the manuals. They are worthless. Call the customer service number. You will actually get a live human being, and they will help you. The number should be on a sticker that is on your vacuum. If something is wrong with your vacuum, they will send you a new one. Please let us know what you find out. Good luck.

www.overstock.com has the DC14 Bronze for $439.99. It is not refurbished. Check around for coupons because you can normally find a coupon for an additional $30 or $40 off with overstock.com. Just google "coupons for overstock.com" and see what you can find. There may even be a coupon posted here, but I didn't check. Shipping is either free or $2.95. I ended up getting my Dyson at LNT (actual store, not online). I had a 25% off coupon. It was expired, but they still took it. I think if you also apply for a credit card, you will get an additional 10 or 15% off. I got the Dyson Animal. It is a DC17 model I think. I may still have the 25% coupon that I could email you to use. You will love the Dyson. I have 3 indoor dogs, and I still can't get over how much pet hair and dander that the vacuum picks up. I have had the same experience with my one purchase of Wii Play. It took over 3 weeks to receive the Wii Play, and I never was able to get any tracking or shipping info. It was like my order was in limbo land.

Wish that I could help you, but I am a total loser in the software/hardware dept. My girls' dad actually came over to hook everything up. It really didn't take too long, but we were already wireless (although I had to call the cable company to get the password). I think the hardest thing was getting the controllers to sync. My girls just made the comment, "Gee mom. You never would have figured this out. See, dad is even having trouble." I bet there are plenty of helpful people on the board that would help you out if you get stuck. You will love the Wii. It is really cool, and my girls are loving it. I'm going to kick booty with my bowling skills.

Why are the Wii game prices cheaper the day AFTER Christmas at Target? I just bought a bunch of decorations and holiday bags at 50% off and Super Mario Galaxy. My cart was overflowing, and I paid a total of $155. The only item that I really needed was my deodorant. How does everyone like the Mario Olympic Game? I may have to pick that one up while it's still on sale.
