  1. My favorite holiday cookie is Monster Cookies. Everyone loves them! 6 eggs 2 1/4 cups packed brown sugar 2 cups sugar 1/2 T vanilla extract 4 t. baking soda 1/2 lb butter (2 sticks) 1 1/2 lbs peanut butter 9 cups oatmeal 1/2 lb M & M's 1/2 lb Chocolate Chips Heat oven to 350. Combine all ingredients. Drop by ice cream scoop and bake for 12-15 minutes.
  2. I'm looking to trade with someone. I have two Hot Fudge Sundae and a Cookies and Cream available. Looking for anything except frosted strawberry, frosted brown sugar, cherry, cookies and cream, hot fudge sundae or chocolate chip cookie dough. Pm me if you want to swap codes!
  3. I suggest using coupons to pick up wilton supplies from Hobby Lobby and Michaels. You can usually get 40% off one item from either and Hobby Lobby will sometimes run 40% off all wilton. If you sign up for emails from the sites they will email you info on new coupons. My Walmart also has quite a bit of wilton lately. You could also check out sites like cakecentral.com, they would probably have some good advice for her to learn from and what is needed. Some of my cake stuff has also come from amazon and been included in the 4 for 3 deal. . .
  4. Send an email to CS, they will give you them back. Worked for me, and being soo close to a certificate you deserve to complain!
  5. I love my MacBook Pro. A good place to compare prices is found here. There is a handy buyers guide at macrumors that shows when products are likely to be replaced. The Air and Pro should both be updated really soon so I would wait if you can. Then you can choose from the newer models or these on discount. Apple also has refurbs available in their store that carry a full warranty, I have heard good things about buying those but have no first hand experience.
  6. Is it a netflix activation code you need? I don't have what you are talking about so maybe I don't understand, but you could try http://www.netflix.com/Activate
  7. Tacos! I let my DH pick a couple of years ago and that is it for us now. The big family dinners are on Xmas Eve and a random date, so it's just us or a few extras.
  8. I'm glad that I am not the only one looking at that and getting annoyed. I still need a tv deal for the parents!
  9. I'm getting my neice Uno Moo, I've heard that its really fun.
  10. Just wanted to note that I had a positive experience with BB this year. Placed two separate orders as the items I wanted went on sale, all have been shipped already including ps3 bundle, laptop, etc. I was surprised at how fast my packed/ready to ship emails were pouring in. Now if only they had cheaper shipping, then I would be really happy.
  11. I think microsoft has extended the warranty to 3 years for ROD and E74, the two major problems. But they will have info in the box to buy extended if you want direct from MS.
  12. I picked one up. My nephew has good timing - he got the RRoD on his last night so this is a really cheap way to fix it. His was a launch unit so the warranty is long gone, but now he'll have hdmi.
  13. I have this one. Its cheap and pretty decent. The alarm buzzer is super loud and the sound quality is decent until you get to the higher volumes.
  14. Make sure you input your zip for your local ad. Regional pricing strikes again. The laptop is $348 for Texas and $428 in Wisconsin. I don't need one but it's still annoying.
  15. I'm getting DH the new ipod nano, some accesories, xbox 360 games and possibly blu-ray player or ps3 depending on deals/budget. Still trying to think up good ideas as he ALWAYS has to outdo me.
  16. I have this one . I think tthis at Amazon is the same but with more stainless. It might be bigger than what you are looking for - it holds a regular full size pizza, which is what we wanted since it replaced a pizazz. I wanted the bigger version of that Cuisinart you link to but couldn't justify the price difference. I am very happy with this one though. I can get a muffin pan in by removing the rack and sliding it into the grooves and the convection knocks a few minutes off the time. I make muffins, cupcakes, cookies, pizzas and reheat leftovers all with great success. The downside is it gets very hot on the outside so you need space around it and I would worry if you have kids who wouldn't be extra careful with opening and closing the door. The interior is really easy to clean.
  17. Keep in mind that what makes the ipod touch so appealing is mostly the apps and games, not so much the fact that its a touch screen mp3 player. If she is into listening to music on her cousins that is one thing, but if she was playing games all the time a generic is not going to be able to do that. Not saying you should shell out the money for an ipod, just beware of the differences and why she liked it to know if the other would appeal as well.
  18. Apple products rarely go 'on sale'. A refurb is probably the best deal you'll find, or a free gc/case promo that stores sometimes run. Let him know that the new version is coming in a few months so he may want to consider waiting as it will probably cause a price drop (closeouts) on the 2g. The 3g is rumored to have a camera, but that is only speculation so far.
  19. 1. I think the best ad was Circuit City as they had really good prices across the board and lots was available online with free shipping. I'm going to miss that this year. 2. Have a plan, research the items you are interested in and the stores. How early you have to arrive varies greatly based upon the item/store and knowing what to expect will pay off. 3. Freebies, coupons, or even just having an organized store with helpful employees all will bring me in. Also, hosting a charity drive will make me want to stop in and contribute if I can, ie toys for tots, a giving tree, etc.
  20. I use pricedrop, it is a firefox add on. I don't use it a ton, but it seems to work pretty well. I will occasionally have a pop up alerting me to a price that has decreased.
  21. There have been some on ebay for 35 buy it now with free shipping (they just email you the code) I purchased one for DH this morning. They sell pretty fast so you have to keep checking.
  22. It can be kept the way it is and be an oversized card OR they can peel them off and stick 'em to the wall or whatever else and they are mini fatheads. My nephew likes to peel em and decorate his room with them.
