  1. Aww, you suck I made it ever so slowly to the payment page, super fast added my ccv code and then was hit with a server too busy. Post your loot when you get it!
  2. Mine was helping a friend find a wii fit - that is the only thing that took effort to track down.
  3. I behave exactly the same as you. My only exception to the rule is Stanford lotteries where the odds are stated and they are pretty good typically.
  4. Kohls has had large jars at the checkouts for about $4, I picked up a few as they smelled pretty nice.
  5. SE Wisconsin, we have our fair share of snow and it is bitter cold today with a wind chill of -27 and a high of 2. My dog won't go outside to poop, she'd rather hold it!
  6. I see some songs available on itunes - maybe you could just download the songs and burn a disc if it is too hard to find?
  7. how old are they - maybe chuck e cheese for little ones and if a bit older most kids love video games so a gamestop or similar? Movie theatre, I know my nieces and nephew love to go to the movies!
  8. You can learn about live.com cashback program here It is good lots of places for various amounts. Ebay is not a listed partner, but if you go to the search engine www.live.com and put in the right term ( I use 'cheap wii') a sponsored link will be the first result saying you could get XX% cashback (varies, i have got 25-30). When you click that it will take you to ebay and your cashback will be valid for an hour (you will see a logo on the top of the page). Make a purchase using buy-it-now and paypal. Ebay should have all the fine print. I have one that posted (GPS) and several more showing up as pending - I have saved over 300 from this.
  9. I bought a new one listed on ebay for 100 plus 9 s/h. If you go through the live cashback promo you can get 30% back, so it will cost 79 after rebate.
  10. Last year only select Staples had the laptop sales and it looks like this year will be the same. Call the store to confirm, they will usually tell you how many they have so you know if it worth waiting in line. We showed up around 1 am and were like 3rd in line last year, the employees told us to show up by 4 to be safe, but that would have been too late last year for a laptop. Good luck in your search!
  11. Yep, it means you better check other area locations if you want it. I had that problem with the laptops last year, but found another store not too far away that had them. Prices are higher in WI - $119 on the monitor and $19.99 on the 8GB flash drive that I noticed. I hate when we have to pay more!
  12. I will try to copy in the links for the ad for you: Mens Electronics Toys Home Decor Home Chefs Womens Candy Kids
  13. I'm sure it is meant to say Halo 3. I am not a big gamer but if Halo 4 was coming I would hear about it constantly from my DN and DH. Bungie who made all those games said 3 was the last one.
  14. I have an assortment of these animals that are 2-3 years old. About 1/2 still work. We love them - they are just silly fun. The duck is my favorite, the easiest to launch.
  15. If you can wait a few days to play then just order it online - they have the deal and free shipping. In my experience the free shipping is usually much quicker than they estimate. I ordered it that way today, but don't need it till christmas for DH.
  16. Lightning deals are on amazon lots. Go to amazon, then click on the little gold treasure chest towards the top. That will take you to each days gold box and lightning deals. They are typically 2-4 hour limited specials.
  17. They have a few items with listed special prices and tell you how many of each they would sell at each price. You vote for one item each for day of the promo - the deals you like best. Then you come back and see if you are offered the winning deal on the day(s) specified. They randomly pick accounts who voted for each deal to win to have a chance to buy the discounted item. They are very nice things at GREAT prices - but very limited in quantity - I have never been offered to buy one.
  18. I just got an ipod touch and decided to go the ebay route. Live.com (microsoft) is still running the cashback promo so 60 days after your purchase you get 25% back if you buy through there link and pay with paypal. This made a 32GB touch just under $300 after cb, which I doubt will be beat on BF.
  19. We discuss what we want and spoil each other to varying degrees each year. We don't have kids so the budget is easier to stretch. He has went as big as $1500 (Macbook Pro) or on a 'cheap' year we might do $250 each. Probably about 500 each this year. I do most of the shopping as he says that I will just complain that he paid retail (he's right!). So he will say I want to give you this and tell me to buy it when I find a deal. We both try to have a few surprises, but mostly just buy from each others lists. He does seem to always want to outspend me
  20. Amazon is $38 http://www.amazon.com/Grand-Theft-Auto-IV-Xbox-360/dp/B000FRU1UM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=videogames&qid=1224948672&sr=8-1 I also like to check ebay, you can get great deals right now with the live cashback thing microsoft is running. If you buy a BIN through a live search link you get 25% cashback after 60 days. It has to be a buy it now and you have to pay with paypal.
  21. I got my DH a Datrek golf bag with the individual slots for each club for 29.48 (50%) plus it has a tag for free mag subscriptions that you can mail in for a cash refund instead of accepting the mags. It says the value of each sub is $12 so if I get a check back for 24 it will only cost $5.48! He was asking for this for xmas so it is a great price regardless!
  22. I'm not sure you should push the psp on him if he wants a ds. My dn(13) has had both forever and the ds gets played with lots more. He probably hasn't touched the psp in a year.
