Yes, you could do that, but if you have ever seen the layaway line at WalMart on BF I think you would quickly change your mind. It could take you hours!

My 10 year old daughter loves to get gift cards. Then she can go and get whatever she is into at the time.
-
Same here, our WalMart is probably not the best but they do okay.
-
With 3 small kids at home I can not imagine not buying toys on BF. I would love to go shopping for myself, but then I would probably feel guilty.
-
I'm assuming you would have to go to the customer service desk of a retailer on BF to get the adjustment. Why would anyone put themselves through that!?
-
I know, I know, we're all getting a little antsy.
-
There are some DVD's on eBay right now. I'm not sure what region there from though. Might be worth checking out.:)

Thanksgiving Day is too hectic for me and on Sat. my husband and oldest daughter go hunting so no babysitter for the little 2 (2 & 4).

That would be awesome, keep us posted!

I think this is the funniest thread I've seen so far.

I'm all for snow, but no ice!, I too experienced the Ice Storm of Christmas 2000. I think it would be great to have a white Christmas for a few days and then a few really sunny days to melt it all away.
-
Mine too, I love him to death and he would probably go if I asked him but he would sure slow me down.

My sister is a govt. employee and she took of months ago for BF.

I'm in SW Arkansas and asked at my WalMart and they will price match. I have never price matched before but I will definitly be doing some this year.
-
Our WalMart has lots of the 13" Color TV's (Spongebob, Dora, Strawberry Shortcake, Batman) in the Overstock area.
-
I don't mind getting a gift card, and sometimes I feel like a gift card is the only option I have when trying to think of what to get some members of my family.
-
We have to drive about 60 miles to get to "town", but we're still going out. I haven't even thought about gas until I read this thread.
-
Last year my MIL strung some lights on a fake plant and called it a Christmas tree!
-
My sister and I usually get back around 3-4 pm. If you stay a few hours after noon the crowd really thins out and you can still get some really great deals.
-
My wish list consists of anything that is good and cheap!
-
We put the tree up the day before Thanksgiving and that does it for me. Oh yea, and that feeling of waking up @ 3:00 am on BF thinking about the deals I'm gonna get on gifts puts me in the Christmas spirit.

There is nothing wrong with regifting as long as it is something that you know someone else would want and appreciate. I have regifted a few times but I never regift on the same sides of the family (just in case).

I voted Monday, but if Tuesday wins I'm pretty good at multitasking. I think I can chat & still keep up with The Amazing Race.

Between Dora, Diego, Sponge Bob, and everything else I am just hoping that my kids (2, 4, & 10) don't run across this one. I don't think I could take it.

I am not really good a sticking to a budget, which is why I WILL NOT bring the checkbook or credit cards. I work part time and get paid the Friday before BF. Check will be about $400 and I will cash it on Wed. before Thanksgiving and by Friday evening every penny will be gone.
