  1. Yep, we asked around to relatives, and one of my DH's cousins had one sitting in her basement, she had just upgraded to a front loading set, but since the old washer still worked she didn't want it to be trashed. So, we got it.
  2. Well, I received all of my Black Friday items just fine, how'd everyone else do?
  3. I have noticed that myself too, but what I was buying really was a good price(a set of knives), the fleece sheets were an awesome deal, and the last thing I bought was a kid snuggie, which was the same price as other stores. I went back today to spend the Kohl's cash(MIL also gave me hers) and I did notice that the original prices on the socks I was purchasing were a good few dollars more than comparable(or even the same package) socks elsewhere.
  4. All of the stores(kohl's and target) I got to before opening had a line of carts about 20-30 feet back to discourage line jumpers. Boy those people were ticked off when they saw the carts.
  5. Our Target had the carts lined up by the door, so no line jumpers here. Everyone went into the store calmly and orderly. Of course, it was crazy once we got in there, but that was to be expected.
  6. You know, I'm glad I braved the crowds at Kohl's rather than trying to buy what I wanted online. Sounds like it wouldn't have worked anyway, and I would've lost sleep.
  7. I have to agree, I liked the way Target handled BF better than Walmart. Although, walmart did help out with doing the fast checking that they did finally, after us waiting in the line for over a half hour(and there were only 10 people in the line I was in). That finally helped get the lines moving.
  8. MIL and I both got one, I love the little fold up bags to keep in the car for when I make an unexpected trip to Target or a grocery store(both of which give discounts for the bags)
  9. Got to kohl's about 3:30, had the line barricaded so no line jumpers. Got everything we went there for, except the pink snuggie, there weren't any on the shelf by the time I got to it. Then off to Target, however when we got to kohl'4, the line for Taeget was already all around the store, so we drove to one in a neighboring city that was less crowded. Got everything there except the 32 inch tv. Then headed to Walmart, and got the desktop(needed a new one desperately) and again no 32inch tv's. Checkout at walmart took forever, until they started doing this fast pass checkouts, which worked awesomely. Then off to Joann's, got there at 6:30, waited for about 2 1/2 hours for the cutting line. Got all but one fabric I wanted. Then went to breakfast. Dropped MIL off at home, then quick trip to office max for the DVD-R's, 4gb sdhc, and picked up one of those jumbo remotes for $3.49. Then dh decided he wanted a tv no matter what, so we ended up with the sylvania 32 inch for $398 I believe. Now we're home.DH is sleeping, and I'm chilling for awhile.
  10. How bad is the shipping at Kohl's? as outrageous as Target, or more reasonable?
  11. Well, they had the Tfal pots and pans on sale on the site, and I put on a toy for my youngest(also free shipping) with a $25gift code I had, total came to less than I would've paid for just the pans in the store. One less item to worry about at Target this year.
  12. I saw about 5 tents in front of Best Buy about 1pm in Fargo.
  13. IME, the 24 hour walmarts allow you to wait inside. What I've done in the past is gotten there early, price matched/items that weren't in pallets, and then lined up at the "most wanted" item pallet and waited.
  14. quad battery powered ride on-$44 Super Hero Squad for DS-17 tfal simply clean cookset-$49 doodle pro-$10 bakugan set itunes gift card and possibly the sherpa lined sweatshirts, one for each of us. Still undecided on that though.
  15. Anyone know if it'll still work if printed in black and white? I'm out of color ink on my printer, and I don't want to buy more just yet. And I know some companies are picky about that with their online coupons.
  16. Okay, um..I don't go anywhere near best buy on Black friday, and both Office Max and office depot have desktop bundles for less than $350. Is there specific issues with those computers? Mostly, I just REALLY need to upgrade my 4yo "dying a slow death" Dell. It won't be used for anything too major, homework, playing on the net, burning DVD's, that sort of thing.
  17. Yep, I've noticed it too, in particular with board games.
  18. 2 years ago I did, at about 5 months pregnant. I just made sure I didn't overdue it. And I did some shopping online rather than wait in the checkout lines.
  19. I noticed that yesterday when I went to Target, saw the cashier scan a barcode right near the register. That's great! I'll have to make sure to remember my bags more often now.
  20. If there's something at Kmart I want, I pricematch it at Walmart.
  21. Same here, it's rather nice. What I do is I go early, about 1 am or so, and get all my price matching items that I want, and get them ready in a cart. Then as the store starts getting more crowded, I go to my "must buy" item area, and camp it out until 5am.
  22. It'd be nice, since it looks like this year I'll be going after a tv. A laptop would be nice too.
  23. I don't know, I don't put paper diapers on my kids, they wear cloth. You can buy a starter set of Bummi's from kidsurplus.com for $120, and that's enough for 2 days worth.
  24. Check places for clearance sales. I know I found my play yard(with bassinet attachment, ends up being more useful in the long run) for $50 at Toys r Us last year about this time, because it was a discontinued pattern.
