  1. I know they're every where now but they just got these tonight at my BJ's and it's the cheapest I've seen at an everyday price if you need one...
  2. Noone's told me this .. but I have a mom that was the same way... and I remember it being wonderful so I do the same for my kids... it's hard because DH's family is the exact opposite... they're not into buying for each other and it was a big deal for them to draw names so everyone bought one present... after the kids were all born his mom is like "they're too many people now it's getting to be too much we shouldn't draw names" .... doh you're still just buying for one person!!! It's also hard for my kids because being young like they are it's hard for them to go Grandma K's to have fun when Grandma P's house is like ToysRus
  3. We're going to Disney the weekend before Thanksgiving this year, and they have the party that Friday.. I was considering it but it starts late and ends late and the kids would be dead tired in the morning.. sounds like it's hot chocolate, cookies some Christmas shows... don't know if that's worth the over 40bucks a person... I think we'll skip it... thanks everyone for your responses.
  4. I saw the boo kits but they were like 3.99 a bag.. you can make a bunch of your own for the same price... my girls had a great time .. I cut orange paper into a pumpkin shape and outlined the eyes, nose and mouth..., the 7yoa wrote the boo message, the 5yoa colored in the eyes, nose and mouth with a black marker and the 3yoa got to put candy in the bags... This was really the first time we've done a bunch so it was all candy..but they had so much fun I'd probably go all out next year...
  5. Still thinking about a good gift, but can you have him videotape some sort of Christmas message before he goes that you can play for her on Christmas morning?
  6. My kids and I just got back from "booing" a number of their friends.. we have gotten boo'ed before and boo'ed the 2 other obligatory people but this was the first time we bought a bunch of bags and they made them for all their friends. They had the best time ringing the doorbells and running away...they're already asking to go next year!! (For those of you that don't know booing is when you fill a small bag with candy or some kind of treats, put a card in it that says something to the effect of "you've been boo'ed, now boo 2 other people and continue the fun". Then you drop it off on the persons front door step, ring the bell and run. You don't put your name on it so the person has to guess who sent it to them, and then they're supposed to boo 2 other people)
  7. I can't remember how you play... do you trade when they're unwrapped or wrapped?
  8. yeah we go for the 75% and 90% stuff too, but these dept 56 villages will be gone the minute they go on sale if they go at all.. Dillards is the only place I've seen that lowers the price and clearances them... just wondering about Macys
  9. My mother and I have always gone out the day after Christmas and gotten tons of cute Christmas things for 50% off. I usually make a stop at Dillards because I collect the Department 56 North Pole Village and they usually have one building each year so I pick it up at 1/2 price. I noticed that Macy's has several on line.. does anyone know when the stores go 50% off the day after Christmas do the online Christmas items go half off too? (or does anyone know if Macy's has these buildings instore?)
  10. I don't, but I made the mistake of going to the website and heard "oh I so want that!!" coming from behind me!!
  11. http://www.piperlime.com/browse/product.do?cid=4016&pid=441125&scid=441125002# Heres one for $29.99.. only pink and black or blue and white though.. but I think they have free shipping too..
  12. any current deals? especially for current registered members not just new members?
  13. We have holiday dresses we bought after Christmas last year for the girls to wear... But for our Christmas picture Disney.com is having a sale right now and their make your own polo's are 7.99 for kids and 9.99 for adults ........... I ordered one for each of us in red, with the black Mickey silhouette emblem and our names embroidered on them for free.. going to have everyone dress in jeans and the shirts on the beach... (Great price for those I also ordered several High School Musical ones with the girls names embroidered on them for gifts)
  14. I ordered a ton of the design your own polo's ...kids are 7.99 and adults are 9.99 You pick your color, then your design or character, then you can add your name embroidered for free.. I ordered a ton of High School Musical ones as gifts for nieces.. Then I also ordered 5 red ones for me, DH and the three kiddos, figured it would make a cute, cheap Christmas picture outfit!!~
  15. I seemed to get Destinys Child Survivor every time.. they must have too many of them!!
  16. http://ticketmaster-presale.blogspot.com/2007/09/trans-siberian-orchestra.html No problem... I used this site to get the transiberian orchestra code when the fan code link didn't work for me... had the sara evans one too.
  17. Try "SARA" I put it in and it pulled up tickets for me in Poughkeepsie...
  18. Barnes and Nobles has the bargain books too, a lot of them are nice reference books for a cheap price..
  19. Wish I had a Kohl's here!!
  20. We bought dd a hockey table and told her Santa dropped it off early so that we could use it for our Christmas Eve party. When we flipped over the top it was damaged (after putting the bottom together for hours) so we had to tell the reindeer must have bitten it because we didn't leave them any carrots last year and that we'd take her to the store to trade it in for a new one. My mom put red pepper instead of paprika on the deviled eggs one year, quite a surprise to everyone that bit them. My bf had too much egg nog and as I'm talking to her I notice her hair is smoking, she had backed into a candle and her hair caught on fire... luckily I put it out and noone noticed but she and I but everyone kept asking what the smell was.
  21. Love it .. thanks for all your hard work Brad!!
  22. I bought one at Target last year when they were 4bucks on clearance..just gave it to DD for her BDay will let you know....
  23. Before we had kids we had all blue lights, but then the kids wanted colored ones so we switched (actually now we have 2 trees and the smaller one is the way I like it)
  24. OK ... I watch this movie a 100 times every Christmas season ....I can probably recite the whole movie.....I recently saw an interview with one of the cast members and realized I had this one thing wrong the whole time. Just wanted to see if I was the only one.. Question: What is the name of the bully in the movie played by Zach Ward who has a little sidekick toadie named Grover Dill? * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Answer: Scut Farkus!! This whole time I'd been saying Scott Farkus and my husband and I laugh now because every time clear as day it's Scut Farkus, but apparently your ears want to hear something else..... another piece of trivia is that originally the kid who played Grover Dill was supposed to be the Bully and Zach Ward was supposed to be the sidekick, the director switched it at the last minute.... Has anyone ever been to the Christmas story house? I so want to visit it!!
