  1. for those of you interested in the BB deals.... with a $199 42 inch and such on there, how early would you consider getting in line? Just want to see what we're up against lol!
  2. We had a good night, we got in line at TRU at 5:30 pm and were still only 8th in line lol .. but we wanted the $79 netbook so we waited ... We were interviewed by several news outlets which amused my 10yoa to no end. when it opened at 10pm there were 1000 people there ... they let 50 people in every 15 minutes - which was great for us as we got everything we wanted, no pushing and no lines at the checkout. Got the netbooks, the talking Buzz and lots of other stuff. We then went to Walmart with the intent of seeing how they were doing the 5am stuff ..we got there at 11:30 pm and they had maps as to where the lines would be for each big ticket item, and a set of balloons as the start of each line so you knew where to go. There were about 20 people in line for the TV's already, but they had 100 so we figured we'd just settle in for the wait, which unfortunately was in the frozen food section lol. At 12 my DD and I grabbed the items we wanted with no hassle while my mom was in the tv line, and at about 12:05 they started handing out tickets for the 5am items so we got two for the tvs, and one for the DS. Then total bonus as I hear some peoples experiences were different, but they let us leave and said as long as you are back in line at 5am you are guaranteed a tv, any later and it gets handed out. So we left and had something to eat. We went back in to TRU just for the hell of it and the lines were HORRIBLE for the registers it was insane. We then went to Kohls, and got in line at Target by 3:15. We were maybe 200 people back, but when the doors opened, we grabbed the stuff we wanted (dual DVD player, pjs and stuff), checked right out and made it back to walmart by 4:45 ... we got in line and they handed us our DS, and for the tvs they had them stacked, you walked by with your buggy, handed your ticket and they loaded it for you. It was great, pretty organized and no lines at the checkout. By 5am we were done and dazed and confused because we are usually still going until about 11 and have a traditional bfast/lunch .. so instead we went home and napped lol!
  3. I haven't seen it out yet but Sports Authority always does...if I'm not mistaken they do something on Thanksgiving day too
  4. #1 Psst ... everyone play dead, maybe they'll go away ..... #2 Bob, ever the lone wolf, apparently did not get the "striped blanket, dark hat" memo #3 Ladies and Gentleman, I'm sorry to say, David Hasselhoff has left the building!!
  5. Love them!!! Just had to finally get rid of one of the shirts I bought years ago - I think I'm in need of another one lol!
  6. Gotta Deal ready Black Friday forum open On your mark, get set ........
  7. 50% worked for me... shipping appears to be 10 bucks no matter what you get. I got a bunch of clothes for my girls and also got them 2 rolling back packs which they've been wanting (they came out to about 11 bucks each and those suckers are expensive)
  8. It was funny I went to 3 Targets, the one right next to me was at 75% and had great deals, the second one a little further down the road went 75% on some stuff, but a lot of the stuff that I had just gotten at the other store for 75% was only 50% (and they had already done their markdowns). .... at the third store they had not gone 75% off at 2pm...
  9. My Target went 75% today.. I hit 2 of them and got a VANLOAD of stuff!! Now... where the heck am I going to put it lol?!!?!
  10. West Palm/Royal Palm is still at 30%, last year we went to 75% on January 10th which was a Thursday .. but I think they went to 50% in between so I'm not sure what's going on lol!!
  11. Don't know if you have a Dept 56 store near you, but wandered into ours today and they are all going out of business. Only a few days left, but everything went 90% off today (except villages which were 75%) If you collect this stuff you know it rarely goes on sale... I got a ton of village pieces for less than 20 bucks each, Clothtique Santas for 4 bucks (normally 42.00) and all kinds of baby gifts, wedding gifts etc for c-h-e-a-p!
  12. Huh, my ad is completely different with none of that stuff.. I'd rather have your ad lol! Oh wait there's two!!
  13. They did something similar on our local radio station but it was whoever could get the biggest star to call in on their behalf.... It was pretty amazing, I think the person who won had Sean Connery call in, but they had James Gandolfini, Donald Trump, Tony Hawk and a bunch of other people.. who knew?? What was even funnier was the way the stars reacted when they found out they weren't voted the biggest star that called in .. the egos involved!!
  14. Famous Gotta Dealers: Have GD'rs find the most famous person they know and have them take a picture of them holding a GD logo. Who knows, you may get bunch of local weathermen but you may actually get someone famous!!
  15. Thanksgiving meal done.. Settle in for the long wait... First in line again!!
  16. Definitely everyone should do tickets... there is nothing worse than to wait in line all night and have the crazies bum rush the door and get in the way. I think they should also have at least 2 employees stand out front when the doors open and call out those people who wait (out of line) near the door and bum rush. When they have 10 of those large items (like computers or something) they should have them in baskets ready to go so you don't have to fight to push one through the store to get there. Maps of where all your BF items are located posted out front... (I hate looking for stuff in Walmart). Limit Door Busters to one per person (I know I'll get flak for this one, but I have 3 kids and often need more than one of whatever I'm getting, but if so i'll get a friend to go with me). I was #1 in line at TRU for the Zune's and they had 3, the person behind me took 2 so the person who was #3 waited all night and got zilch. Plus at other TRU's where they had more one guy took them all (presumably to sell on line) that would suck!!
  17. Pick me, Pick me!! lol!! I'd like to win the shirt because I've been a loyal member since FOREVER and wear the other shirts I bought with pride!! I need the new one for this BF 'cause it's the best so far....the "I probably got your doorbuster" cracks me up!!
  18. I've done Amazon before, actually I just preordered a DVD and noticed that though the release date is 09/16, it says estimated ship is 9/22 which is unusual for them.
  19. Disney is having their summer sale with 40% off summer stuff (swimsuits, towels, clothes, toys) with code SUMMER40, I was also able to stack SHOPFOR5 to get 5$ shipping over 50$. I always stock up on towels this time of year.. with the discount I got a bunch of cute beach towels for 2.99 each. I got 4 bathing suits, 4 beach towels, a tub toy, and a cover up for $75 bucks (and considering one of the bathing suits and the cover up was for me and they were 36 bucks that's pretty darn good for the rest of the stuff!!) http://home.disney.go.com/shopping/
  20. We had a Banzai 2 yrs ago... it didn't last very long (one season if that) it got lots of holes in the seams that we couldn't seem to repair and it wouldn't stay blown up.... maybe they've improved but I'd be cautious about spending that much.
