  1. I received an email from Best Buy today, an "our gift to you" for the holiday season type thing. $10 off, no minimum purchase in store or online. It's good through 12/24 so it'll be valid on BF - so keep an eye out for it.
  2. Best picture with the Gottadeal logo photoshopped in to it!
  3. My google password wasn't working so I couldn't add. But I'll be in Royal Palm Beach, FL
  4. We have a party every Xmas eve, and this is where my family exchanges gifts. There are also other kids there and I buy them each something little so they have something to open and don't feel left out. I can only spend about $10 each because there are so many of them, but the hardest are the teens ... Ideas for 12, 13, 15, 16 and 17 year old girls in this range (that you don't know much about their likes)
  5. I love planning my route, then spending quality time with my family overnight waiting !!
  6. #1) WTF? All I wanted was a frozen pizza.... #2) (Guy in the black hood) Keep the camera off me, I have a warrant out for my arrest but I REALLY need that 42 inch TV! #3) How many days til the Superbowl? Tina - would have loved to order a shirt, but am eternally late and didn't see the thread until today - so pick me, pick me!! lol! P.S. We are on the news every year since it's a 4 generation shopping tradition thing .. we're good advertising for the site ;P
  7. Tina, been doing black Friday since my mother brought me along with her over 30 years ago .... it is now a Family Tradition .. member of the Gottadeal family since 2004.
  8. I think giving a quick "never bring children" answer is silly. I think it all depends on a number of factors - the age of your children, their maturity level/willingness to join in, the climate you live in, and the typical shopping environment for your town. I have a 12 year old who has gone with me for 2 years now. Her little sisters have stayed home til this point, but my 10 year old will be joining us this year. We live in Florida, so it's not cold, and the shoppers here are relatively well behaved. We know the stores, who limits the number of people they let in so there's no trampling, how they do their lines etc. My 12 year old loves coming, and my 10 year old has been begging for years. For us, it's a family tradition. We camp out the night before with a shade cover and an air mattress (so if they're tired they sleep). My mom and sister come as well. We've spent many a nice BF evening meeting new people, sharing food, and playing football. My daughter is actually a great asset, she is armed with her cell phone, and has snagged me items or held my place in line when I went back to grab "one more thing" etc. Now if I lived where the weather was 20 degrees, near stores that allowed everyone to just make a run for the doors, she was under 10 or just plain didn't want to come ... she wouldn't be there end of story.
  9. We got 2 of the 42inch tvs from Best Buy, 2 of the 24 inch Dynexes, 2 of the Asus Tablets, the hard drive and lots of other smaller stuff there.
  10. Our BB gave the first 10 in line GC's and said they ranged from $10-$100 ... We all called and checked and they were all $10 lol! But hey, there were 2 of us so our tv will now be $179 ... I'm not complaining!
  11. Oh look Zim, we're both located over the rainbow..we can go shopping together lol!
  12. Aww come on Tink ... I don't pay attention, but then I hear something that catches me and I rewind to watch it lol! You can't help but pay attention to the Target lady lol!
  13. I added some links to my favorites in the original post ... we are sitting here cracking up lol!!
  14. Excuse me sir can you look at my list for me? ... Everything is crossed out ma'am ... yeah, cause I got everything BOOM!! lol!
  15. I first saw the one where she was training, and the one where she got the ad in the mail just came on .... I cracked up when she just screamed for the whole commercial lol!
  16. I love the BF commercials, the Target lady screaming when she gets her ad and going in training .. and the Walmart mom calling an audible and asking if she got everything on her list ... which is your favorite lol? Here are some lol! 17. I am not a fan of the opening times .. but it is what it is ... the company chooses it's hours and unfortunately the employees have to work them. I have worked several jobs that are 24-7 and have worked many a holiday. I realize that I accepted a job in that profession, just like others have accepted a job in retail and it comes with the territory. I know many will say, but they didn't know that when they applied, but it's just like the many holidays I was actually scheduled off, but something happened and they wanted to increase staffing and I had to come in and work anyway. It's the nature to of the beast ... To be honest, this affects me the shopper more than it does the employees - I have a friend who works in retail at a store that opens at midnight this year ... she is going to be with her family all day, eat dinner with them, take a nap, and come to work at 11p.m. Because I want to get some of these deals, I will probably be sitting at Best Buy all day instead of being with the family at Thanksgiving dinner .. but, I have 3 kids and a small budget for each of them for Christmas ... so sitting there to get the $79 TV and a few other things almost doubles the amount of things they get this year .. to me it's worth it and I'll do it ... if I didn't want to, I wouldn't .....
  18. Ha!! True ... I'm pretty hardcore and I've waited for things for long hours in the past ... however I wouldn't wait from Mon or even Weds daytime for that TV. There comes a point where my time (especially if you're taking off work and losing money) starts to become as valuable as the product .... I won't spend days to save $100 or $200 .. I know lots of you will lol and I admire your grit .. it's just not for me ... would I give up my Thanksgiving or even go late Weds night .. sure prior to that not so much.
