  1. Buffalo-Area Mall Threatens To Fine Stores That Don't Open On Thanksgiving http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/11/11/mall-open-thanksgiving-_n_6141362.html I'm not in the group that is deadset on not BF shopping on Thanksgiving, but I think this is wrong ..... Phone sent this twice.... Can a Mod delete?
  2. 1) Best Buy (hoping anyway cause I need a TV 2) both duh! 3) I think they'll open at 5pm on Turkey Day
  3. Ordered a hoodie, hope they hit 50
  4. I would just try it. We had a salesperson here do it recently, though they said others might not and soon the system would be fixed so they couldn't
  5. 1) I realized just how much I rely on/love Gottadeal for my BF shopping when I suddenly couldn't get into my account Late Thursday night .... Thanks for the help Brad! 2) I enjoyed the earlier times, we ate at noon, were out by 4 and back home by 11. We got everything we wanted, the crowds were much calmer and orderly.
  6. We bought a nice permanent one at BJs one year ..... We just fill it up each year. This year for example we went to fresh market and I let them pick out 24 different types of the "pick your own candy". For $10 they got different kinds of candy they actually wanted, and are excited to find out which one is there each day.
  7. Meant 3/30 there lol
  8. They don't go on sale a lot, but Finish Line has them 2 for $30 (And their 2 for $35 college hoodie deal is amazing)
  9. Lol! All I wanted was the laugh and learn workbench .... We watched it countdown, hit buy, and it was gone! Oh well
  10. Has anyone seen them adding more items as time goes on? Or do you think this is it? The few things I wanted don't appear at BF price.
  11. Still waiting on mine
  12. The only thing I would be careful of is how busy your WM tends to be. Some are not, so it's not an issue - but ours is. We were in line for a one hour guarantee item during the one hour sale time, but were in line waiting for them to get us through until 7:15. We would not have had time to go to a line for a second one hour item. Your store might not be a problem, but if you're concerned I'd have the 18 yr old on stand by.
  13. My dad is a pharmacist at Wm he checked with a manager there who didn't know why it was under both? But he said they were doing it as one hour ... Again it's probably a typo, but I would ask the manager of your local store how they intend to handle it, and make sure you get a name to escalate to on bf if need be.
  14. Gotcha ... Didn't see that - I'd check with your local store, but if it's listed on the ad and website as a one hour guarantee I'm betting it's an error and you'd have no problem getting your item as a guarantee with ad in hand
  15. Maybe it's easier to explain this way Christina - One hour guarantee and wristbands apply to two entirely different things .... The items that are a one hour guarantee are items that they have mass quantities of, and are prepared to give to EVERY person who is in line between 6 and 7, NO MATTER HOW MANY PEOPLE THERE ARE. There is no wristband needed because they either a) hand you your item or if they run out of the item they give you a guarantee card which you take to the register and pay for the item, but don't receive it yet. On the card you have a few days to register the product, and walmart will send it to the store for you to pick up before Xmas guaranteed. (This happened to me last year and I preferred it because the kids didn't see me bring it home, I had less days to hide it, and there weren't expensive items in my car as I continued my BF shopping) The wristbands apply to items that are doorbuster which are in high demand, but are limited in quantity. This is exactly the same as the old days when you would wait in line at Best Buy for 10 hours to be the first in line to get one of the 20 42inch TVs they had ... And they would come out and provide the first 20 people in line with a ticket (no ticket no tv at best buy=no wrist band no doorbuster at walmart). The added benefit here is that it sounds as if they'll give wristbands out earlier than one hour before like they used to and best buy still does ... Once you have your wristband you're free to shop or leave until the sale starts and are not sitting in a line all that time. That being said since this is the first year I'm sure there will be some implementation challenges. I would find out what time your local walmart plans to start handing out said bracelets, there will be some people who just read the ad and show up to try and get the bracelets .... But there will be others who like you find out the time and wait .... So there may still be a line and waiting, it's just now for the bracelets instead of the actual item. I'm interested in seeing if it alleviates the waiting somewhat as they suggest, or ends up just causing a new line at an earlier time.
  16. They ran out of iPads last year so we got the guarantee card ... We paid at the register and they delivered it to the store before Christmas ... This actually worked better for me because the kids didn't see me bring it home, and I didn't have expensive items sitting in the car while I did the rest of my bf shopping
  17. Just an FYI there are two of us at home that use GD, and we downloaded the new app, but it didn't work. We had to delete the old app completely and redownload the new one on all 3 devices to get it work.
  18. Anyone else having trouble joining?
  19. If you're looking for something better than the solos Groupon has the studios for $169 today..
  20. Not sure which ones you're after, but Walmart has the solos and I believe they are a one hour guarantee
  21. Mine had a serial number and pin for redeeming on line, and a bar code for in store purchases.
  22. If you got to www.target.com/blackfridaymaps and enter your zip code it will give you a map of where all the doorbusters will be located in your particular store. It also lists what the surprise deal items are going to be (mostly TVs) without the prices which will be announced the day of.
  23. Anyone know anything about the touch screen one hour lap top at Walmart? Thoughts on whether it's a good deal or not?
