I think the Kmart near me survives because there is no WalMart near it, have to go across town about 15 mins in either direction, not far, but when you're talking convenience Kmart wins...there is a Target up the road though and that's where I'd rather go if I dont feel like going to Wally World... Welp, the Kmarts in my area have survived the cut and will see another BF...we shall see what the deals look like this year... and 800 stores, yeah that's a shocker...

I forgot our Bon-Tons was going out of business this year...didn't really shop there, but it is another big name that is going bye-bye...the fact that JCP is still holding on is a shock to me, will have to see if they survive after the holidays...

Our Aldi usually has a small assortment of toys during the holidays...I'm curious to see what the impact will be since our TRU closed a few months ago...

Yeah, Kmart is the closest store to me, being literally around the corner, but I still prefer to drive up the street to Target or across town to WalMart unless they are having a good sale...I believe we have two left in my area...depending on their sales this year they may not last that much longer...to me, they aren't even competitive, most of their items are over priced and you can find them cheaper elsewhere...

Ugh, I hope not...we might have one Sears left here, so I don't even look at their ad...I just took a look at the ad from last year and I don't remember seeing this at all...the manager at the Kmart we went to didn't even have any ads in store to pass out...even though I don't like Kmart as an everyday shopping experience I do love it during BF...

I can't wait to start the ad watch frenzy...curious to see if Kmart will not have an ad again this year (for those of us who still have a Kmart in town)...

Yeah, stores in my area are on the updated list...several stores closed years ago and now it looks like the remaining stores will finely see their last leg by the end of Summer or sooner...

I've noticed my packages being turned over to USPS and being delivered a day beyond their 2-day shipping as well...at this point I find myself looking on Amazon first to see if I can find something I like, like a specific color shoe for an event or a shirt I might like to wear for a dinner date, but no big items that would warrant me keeping my prime going for those months I don't buy anything...I can honestly say I don't use my prime every month for purchases or videos, so I'm losing money...

I took advantage of Kohl's early BF pricing online this past year, which I've never done before... there was no instant gratification, but I was able to get my items (luggage) without having to walk around, dragging them through a million people and stand in line for who knows how long...I actually shopped a lot more online this past BF...it was just more convenient to do it that way and still hit the stores that I still actually enjoy the rush I get from being in the crowds on BF like Walmart and JCP without feeling I had to rush to get to another store...The only upset I had was that Kmart did not have it's usual BF sale and we were confused by their lack of a BF ad so this year we will proceed with caution when it comes to placing them on our must go to list...mind you they open up on Thanksgiving at like 6 am so if I am going to get up that early to support you I expect there to be a good reason and sadly, I left with a few throws that the manager graciously gave us for the later sale of $1.99...my grandson will be one by then but with TRU closing I am looking now to see if I can snag any good deals before they close for good...Every year I tell my grown children that I will not be getting them as much because they are grown, yeah never works out that way because I love giving, but this year I am hoping to stick with that and do most of my shopping for my grand and godsons...

It's the last day of April...my birthday is this Friday (May the 4th be with you)...so much has been going on and I am still in school!!!! not sure if I will need to take a break for a little while and rest my brain; I'm not as young as I used to be ... the one thing that I keep thinking about is BF and I stopped into my local TRU this past Saturday to see if they had any good deals for my Gbaby and I wasn't impressed so I decided not to purchase anything... these months are flying by and before you know it we will all be waiting for Ads to come out again...

The BabiesRUs here is closing, but the one remaining TRU is not...havent stopped in BRU in a while and with a new g'baby I probably would have...oh well there are plenty of other stores that cater to infants and toddlers so I should be ok...as far as the closing sales I don't think they will be that great initially and when they are there will probably only be odds and ends left...
