  1. Absolutely!!!! I usually don't receive many gifts from my kids...so it's so appreciated when one of them thinks of me, even something as "small" as pajamas (as usual I bought my jammies, but didnt wear them until after Christmas)...it's the little things with me...
  2. Info sent!!!!
  3. Mine is making Thanksgiving dinner for home on Thanksgiving Eve (yup, that's what I call it), going to morning service at church on Thanksgiving and then to my Aunt's for potluck, and of course all the BF shopping...as for Christmas Eve, we are usually at my Aunt's again for potluck of finger/junk foods as well as games...I always sit and watch It's a Wonderful Life with my cousin before heading home...usually I'm still up wrapping presents, but it wasn't as bad last year as I had started early, and because I like waiting to put the majority of the gifts under the tree on Christmas Eve I'm always up until the last child has fallen asleep, yes, even thought they are grown now...we open one gift, always our new pajamas and my daughter surprised me last year by purchasing new pajamas for me to open (as I always purchase my own and wrap them for myself )...
  4. This brings so much excitement to me ... I printed my hard copy as soon as I received it in my email...
  5. I think your niece would love something to go in her dorm room, inquire about what she still may want/need that she doesn't already have...a small inexpensive microwave w/ say a $20 GC for food/snacks or a snack care package of her favorites, an Echo Dot, a breakfast center (has a toaster oven/coffee maker all in one), a reading pillow... just a few ideas...browse Amazon I'm sure you'll get plenty of ideas...
  6. What I've learned over the years is that kids (especially younger ones) still like opening packages, can't say I blame them...a gift card is fine as long as there's a wrapped gift to go with it...
  7. That sounds like a good rule...maybe I'll throw that out there...
  8. I love to watch: Miracle on 34th Street (Natalie Woods version, preferably) A Christmas Story It's a Wonderful Life National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation The Santa Claus White Christmas A Christmas Carol It Happened on 5th Avenue And all the animated ones, Rudolph, Frosty, Charlie Brown, The Grinch...I'm sure there's more and as the season get's into swing I'll have more...especially the Hallmark ones, there's just so many...
  9. Yup, it's that time again!!!! I have been waiting for this to open up...
  10. Yeah, I could use some help with ideas this year...all of my children are working so they can pretty much by what they "want" prior to Christmas...the $60 xbox games I normally get my now 18 y/o during BF for like $25 he will probably get himself instead of waiting to play them on Christmas...I don't want to give gift all cards because I like seeing the presents under the tree...
  11. My parents are without power, but no real damage so they fared well also...
  12. They opened a few 5 below here this year...haven't ventured into any as of yet, BF would be a good time...we're still 2 months away [emoji37][emoji37]
  13. The first year I entered this contest, 2014 I believe, I had a method and I was correct...Since then, my method has not worked and last year completely threw me for a loop... this year I made my prediction using the old let's choose a month from today methodology; hoping for the best ...
  14. My youngest turned 18 a few months ago and I will still wait until Christmas Eve to put the majority of the gifts under the tree...it's the excitement of going from nothing to an abundance for me...especially when they weren't expecting much...
  15. Hoping I win one soon!!!!
  16. My parents live in Jacksonville, NC...Idk what I would do either, but I would want to be with my husband so that would probably make my decision for me...if you decide to stay I think your cousin would understand given the circumstance...
  17. Yeah, I think having Thanksgiving all day with family on Thanksgiving is a thing of the past now...I wouldn't mind going back to the old ways, but I think we are used to it and too many stores and customers have conformed to this new "normal", myself included...
