For the past 3 Christmases I've invited a family from my church over for Christmas morning breakfast and i give out a small gift...i also make sure my daughter's God son has a decent Christmas as his mother has limited income and usually is not able to purchase him anything anytime of the year so I make sure he has new clothes, a coat and toys plus a stocking full of goodies... Hmmmm more often than I would like to admit

I start with a written list for each person I'm shopping for; items I would like them to have as well as their wants...if I buy things on the list pre BF I check it off my list...I look at my written list @ least 3 times a day (a little OCD)...once the ads come out I usually add more things to my list...the day before my shopping experience I figure out how much cash I have on hand and how much is left from my holiday/checking account...I go over my list again and decide if there are some things I really don't need or want and cross those off...and this still may not be the final cut depending on seeing items in store that I didn't know I needed or wanted...lol...I also use an app on my phone for my gift list as well and it adds up the amounts I want to spend on each gift/person and gives me a total so I'll know how much I need to try and save... I still enjoy going to Kmart, even though there are only about 2 left in my area now...a friend and I ventured to a new one last year and it was the best time we had shopping @ Kmart...even though there were a lot of cars in the parking lot it didn't feel like the store was over crowded...we kept this location to ourselves, it's a little further out than the one right around the corner from us, but we knew everyone would now flock to that one...
