Mom & Dad gifts are wrapped and under the tree when they get wrapped. Santa always left gifts unwrapped during the night. Usually the big gifts of toys/electronics.

I can't wait for my Dad (72 yrs old) to open his gift. We're giving him his very first laptop! He'll think it's silly to have spent that kind of $$ on him but he'll secretly be giddy about not having to snatch Mom's to shop ebay for his used golf clubs. He's also discovered YouTube and Google now so he may never get out of his La-Z-Boy again. LOL

My place of employment sponsors a Senior Tree for the elderly in the counties Home Instead offers services. I always take 2-3 of these. These break my heart quicker than a child off the Angel Tree because they only want basic things that I don't give a second thought to. Sweat pants/shirts, slippers, blanket, robes, nightgowns, jeans, blankets, etc.

I would have never thought about a Star Wars themed tree! That is awesome.

I'm not a teacher and have no kids but my mother taught high school math for 40 years so she received many Christmas gift over those years. Her favorite ones were homemade cards. She also really enjoyed (and by default me, my sister and my dad) the holiday boxes/tins/sacks filled with candy, homemade or Hershey's. She enjoyed getting notepad gift sets or sets put together yourself.....nice pretty pad and nice pens. She enjoyed gift cards. I always steer clear of scented candles and bath/body products. She got more of that stuff than you can count and rarely used it. She doesn't like heavy scents and so much of what she was given was never used. My sister and I took what we wanted but we are picky as well. I love the homemade ornament idea. Pinterest is full of holiday craft ideas. I'm making peppermint sugar scrub and snowflake shaped hand soap for my friends at work.

Rubbermaid container sets were marked down to $4 last night. Movie were still marked at sale prices. Didn't really look for anything else.

Awww! How fun for her! I ordered 3 different times from Kohls this week myself and all the "loot" is for me. Can't wait to get it all.

I've had the best experience with Kohls this year. Kudos to them. Just spent 3 hours trying to navigate the nightmares that were the .coms of Target, Walmart, and Best Buy.
-
And the site has crashed mid-purchase. I'm striking out all over the place.
-
Well I'm not having any luck anywhere. Keep adding to my cart and then im told my cart is empty.
-
And now I'm getting "sold out" on every blessed thing. What a waste of time

Not able to buy anything..... Keeps saying not available or check local store.

Got 2 of my packages this morning! The other 2 due Friday/Monday. Made another order for a coat and got another $15 Kohls Cash. Woot! I'm all about some early online BF shopping access and Kohls will become my go-to online BF shopping place next year since Target let me down with their early access this time.

Kohl's cash email received! 2 items have shipped and the remaining 3 are still in fulfillment. Anxious to receive it all since everything is for me!

Walmart's big pre-Black Friday sale starts this Friday (ad link inside)

What a nightmare that Customer Service area must be. Thankfully my 2 stores have the dedicated site-to-store area. Guess it becomes the layaway area too during the holidays. The local Target recently took out its dedicated Customer Service area and moved it into the check-out area so now to return something you have to stand in line while others are checking out. I hate that with a passion. And speaking of open/closed check out lanes. I noticed in one of my stores a huge sign stating that soon (next weekend maybe) they will have all registers open for a set number of hours. Can't remember if it was daily or just the weekend. I honestly can't wait to see if this happens. The only day I know of where all the registers have ever been open here is Black Friday (now Thursday) sale hours. -

Congrats to all who actually got a TV in hand. I'm currently not in need of a TV but for my own curiosity I did go to both my local WM stores this morning and saw no evidence of these TV's. In the larger store I saw a stand at the entrance full of the ads for this sale and I noticed that the toys that were part of this sale were marked with a piece of paper on the shelf. The smaller super center had no indication there was even a sale going on that I could tell. The only indication was when I picked up my order of Dragon 2 blu-ray. The guy at the counter had to dig through a stack of them to find the one with my name on it. And I must say that this store pickup was the smoothest and nicest I've EVER experienced. I was so grateful to the guy for being so pleasant and helping me right away. I'm not usually able to say that about my site-to-store area in either of the local WM's. -
