  1. Happy July to all! So I made it down to Kennedy Space Center last weekend and...wow! It was incredible to see both a Saturn V rocket and the space shuttle Atlantis in person. I mean you know they’re big, but standing next to them is just awesome. The little preshows they do before you see the exhibits are neat too. The visitor complex is so cool and anyone who is into space stuff should go there at least once if they can. I’m already planning to be too lazy to go watch any fireworks this weekend, so I’m gonna stay in, try my freeze dried space ice cream that I brought back from KSC, and watch Jaws!
  2. Speaking of Florida/fun in the sun, can anyone recommend a good sunscreen? Is the highest SPF the best? I’m having a hard time choosing something with so many options out there. I also have rosacea, so I could use ideas on what might be a good face sunscreen to use that won’t further irritate my skin. I generally avoid outside during the summer, but will need something for sure for a few days down south. If I need to get two different kinds for face and body, that’s ok too. Thanks in advance for any recommendations!
  3. Hello June! I’m also heading to Florida this month to finally visit Kennedy Space Center! I’ve always loved the exploration and discovery of space and everything in it, so it’s gonna be awesome to see some of the work behind that. We will also be hitting Universal Orlando so hopefully we can take a ride on the soon-to-be-open Velocicoaster!
  4. May already?? Holy cow! I think I made it a week between when I shut my heat off and kicked on the air. Frickin’ Missouri
  5. Happy April to all! Tons of green grass has appeared out of nowhere, and the temps are pleasant. I hope everyone has a lovely Easter weekend!
  6. Yay March! We went from subzero temps to 50s and 60s nearly overnight; yay Missouri.
  7. Happy February to all! Hopefully things will be improving more and more for everyone.
  8. I got the last thing I needed yesterday to finish my Christmas shopping, so I finally feel like I’m done! I still need to get some candy to put in the gift bags, but the major purchases are complete. Now to get out of bed and watch the new Mandalorian episode!
  9. This whole “in stores only” thing the first three days of the BF week sale is pretty lame. This probably isn’t the best time to try and drive traffic into the stores, especially when their shops are notoriously small anyhow. I would have placed an order online for this sale, but now we are suppose to do it on Thanksgiving? That’s gonna be a no from me, BBW.
  10. I also hit up Bath and Body Works today. I know their BF week starts tomorrow, but since I had to go to Kohl’s anyhow, I thought I’d stop here too. They opened at noon at this store, and I was second in a line that I wasn’t expecting. But they had a $10 off all 3 wick candles sale going on, so maybe that was why. They only let 10 in at a time I believe. We got in and got our shopping bags, and the game was on! I grabbed some buy 2, get 1 free fragrance mists, a 3 wick, 6 for $26 soaps, and a new loofah. It was busy but not crazy, and the checkout lines are well organized. I’ve definitely got a head start on holiday shopping!
  11. So I stayed up ‘til midnight last night to get my pick of The Big One Throws that were available for store pickup at my local Kohl’s. I got the email and a text right at 9am this morning that they were ready for pickup. I placed the order for store pickup, but what I didn’t know was that they also offer a “drive-up” service. In my pickup ready email, it said to park in one of the drive-up parking spots, which are super close to the store and clearly marked. I parked in one, and clicked the link in the email that tells an associate that I’m there for my order. Then it tells you to enter the number of the spot you’re in (1-4), and the color and make of your car. After just a few minutes, a nice lady in a yellow vest comes out of the store, loaded down with bags of Big One Throws! Poor lady lol. So I have my driver window and driver side rear window down, and tell her she can just lob them into the backseat (If you have a fancy newer suv, you could also just pop the back hatch from where you are). She stuffed the bags in and that was that! There’s a barcode in the email that they might need to scan but they didn’t scan mine; she said it was good to go. I loved this drive-in pickup experience! She said the store inside wasn’t bad at all, but they had over 1600 online orders to get filled so that was hectic. So yeah, Kohl’s gets 5 stars from me today!
  12. Yay, I just got mine in the mail! So much GD goodness in there. Love all the handy stuff and my shirt! Thanks so much!
  13. Woohoo! Congrats to all the winners, and it’s so fun to see everyone’s shopping sprees!
  14. So yesterday was a crazy day. I had to have my water heater replaced, which ended up taking most of the day, plus the cleanup afterwards. With all the weather, hunting, and political talk, I never once heard about the time change. I knew it was coming up, but I didn’t realize it was today. So when my alarm went off this morning, I was surprised that I didn’t feel like shutting it off and going back to sleep. Then I saw an article on my phone that was talking about it and realized that it had already happened and I was feeling great because my stolen hour was returned while I slept! O happy day!

  16. This is a recipe for Butterbeer fudge, which I was able to try last month at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios Orlando. This is not my recipe but figured you guys might want to make some of your own to try! I loved the fudge myself and I hope you will too! 17. When it was early morning, we would go to Starbucks for their hot chocolate. It’s amazing!
  18. 1. These are the ghosts of Black Friday past! 2. “When I was your age, we lived outside in tents all year and had to walk uphill both ways to get to Best Buy!” 3. The good old days, when every year had a flu season but hand sanitizer was just for paranoid people and nobody wore anything on their face to keep from spreading their germs.
  19. Oh my gosh, the pins came today and they’re amazing! I love the dark blue with the iridescent glitter in it so much! Thanks a million Brad!
  20. Hopefully these retailers will take the money they are saving by closing on Thanksgiving and dump it into server strength. Online sales are going to be even bigger this year.
