Shopping is done. I even was able to get my packages mailed out this past week. I just started wrapping presents yesterday. I'm still waiting on one shipment, LIDS shipping sucks. As for baking, I haven't even bought the ingredients needed. I guess I'll get to that later this week.

I did some Christmas shopping this weekend. I found a lot of great deals and items. Unfortunately all the items belong to me. So, I guess have to go back out today and find stuff for others.

I always order the poinsettias online on Thanksgiving and arrange for pick-up on Friday. It beats fighting all the contractors in line trying to buy them for their customers.

I sponsor 3-4 kids each Christmas. I choose kids around the same ages as mine so that they can shop for a peer. I always try to emphasize to my kids that they should pass a blessing onto others. I also started taking my oldest out to hand out items to the homeless. We partner with other friends and create care packages (food, toiletries, blanket, etc.). We then go into the downtown area and hand them out.

A gift card t the:movie theater, one of her favorite spots to eat, or one of those trampoline parks since she's active.

Too many mail in rebates for me. I did see some earrings for my nieces.

Even though I get notifications, I still check 2-3 times a day.

I don't take my boys BF shopping with me. They're 10 and 13 but I know they would complain about all the people and the lines. I did take my stepdaughter with me one year when she was 16. She thoroughly enjoyed herself. It's now been a tradition whenever she comes home from college for the Thanksgiving break.

We usually put everything up the Saturday after Thanksgiving. My husband and youngest son think we should put our Christmas trees up now. My other son and I think it's too early. So we're at a stalemate in our home. When is the best time to put up a Christmas tree? How early is too early?

We do a sock exchange. You'll be amazed at how many funny and dirty socks are out there. We put them in Christmas stockings so you get 2 gifts in 1. We have such a blast with this. I've also given gift cards, lottery scratch offs, mini alcohol, and batteries for white elephant games.

This is a great concept. The return lines in Walmart are ridiculous at times. Hopefully this will free this up tremendously.
