  1. https://www.theisens.com/november-23-2018/ We like going their for Columbia wear and the toy section. Last year, we also got some Bluetooth headphones for our son.
  2. I had a couple different patterns of the throw in my wish list (among others) and dang it if they didn't sell out before I could order. I would have ordered sooner, but I had surgery today, so I couldn't do it until tonight. S'ok...got 7 throws, including a couple for the van for those cold Iowa nights! Our son should be happy with his buffalo plaid!
  3. The staff will usually help you determine which coupons can stack. I think BF is about the only time they allow it.

    Cricut Machine

Actually, HSN has a Maker bundle for 360 plus 15% off if you sign up for their emails.

    Bath & Body Works

So has anyone ever swapped the scents in the bag? Twisted Peppermint is probably one of our least favorite scents.

    Cricut Machine

Was just coming here to say the same. Joann also has the Maker at 349.

    Cricut Machine

I'm REALLY hoping that Cricut matches what they had on GMA earlier this month for the Maker. It was $199! I wish I could have afforded it right then, but we'd just had our son's birthday.
  8. I did it for Kohl's last year, but not for a doorbuster item. It was really nice to just waltz into the store, pick up my purchase, and leave while everyone else was still in the long checkout line.
  9. This is me. There's not much I want/need this year, so it's more entertaining to see people geek out over the ads.
  10. I'm waiting on Menards, Michael's, and Joann's. And for perverse pleasure, Best Buy and Walmart.
  11. I haven't been to Kohl's on BF for a few years, but I think that I'll be snagging one of the throws. My 7 year old son likes to swipe any blanket I'm using already, so I think a couple of these will be good to have around!

    How is your TV?

We picked up the Westinghouse 32" TV on Friday. Installed it and a bluray from Sears yesterday. We're really enjoying it, no problems. We got last year's 27" from Target, and haven't had problems with it, either. There are a few differences in the functions, but otherwise, I think we made a smart choice.
  13. Was that at both doors, or just the side where Starbucks is?
  14. Last year, Sam's opened at 5, and Target opened at 6. We waited at Sam's, did our checkout, and then down the road to Target. Waited outside for 20-30 minutes before they opened, and was able to get the TV. They were located in one of the "big aisles" on the perimeter (between men's clothes and seasonal).
  15. But if you have more than one person shopping with you, you could feasibly get $10 for each purchase. For example, buy the 32" tv, get one card back, have a friend buy the GPS, get another $10 back. I shop with my wife, so we could easily get 2 $10 gc's back.
  16. We got the 26" Westinghouse TV last year, and we've been very happy with it. We use it in the bedroom. We'll likely get the 32", although we were hoping to find a 37" we liked. We may get the BluRay also. The Memorex dock is very good. My mother has had one for a few years, and loves it. Did anyone see the $1.50 towels? I think we'll use the freebie gift cards we'll get for our purchases and buy towels to give at the food pantry this year. We help organize gift items for pantry guests to give to others for the holidays (socks, bath gels, little things).
  17. Yeah, don't count on it. Per the FAQ's on the layaway:
  18. Last year, we went to Menards and bought 20 of their $1.99 fleece blankets. They went to the food pantry.
  19. These may sound strange, but they're really good: CHIP CHIP COOKIES ½ cup shortening, butter or margarine 1 cup sugar 1 cup brown sugar 2 eggs, well beaten 1 tsp. soda 2 cups flour 2 cups crumbled potato chips 6 oz. butterscotch chips Cream together shortening & sugars. Blend in eggs. Combine dry ingredients together and add to creamed mixture. Stir in chips. Drop by teaspoonful onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 325° 12-20 minutes. Makes 6-8 doz.
  20. We bought the Samsung set last year. We are very happy with our purchase, as the set has not let us down. We stacked the pair, giving us much more space in the laundry room. Last year, we went into Sears the Wed before BF and chatted up the sales clerk. After making some complimentary small talk with him, he let us purchase the set that night at BF pricing. If he hadn't, we probably would have gone to Lowe's on Friday. If you are interested in this set, I recommend doing your research!
