I agree. I also hate the way prices change every few days by quite a bit. The Amazon delivery part used to be in the front of the store and easily found. I don't know where it is in my local store now. I liked it better when it was just Kohl's.

Fruit cookie bars Ingredients 1/3 cup melted butter 1 1/2 cups crushed graham crackers 1 cup coconut flakes 1 cup chopped dates 1 cup candied cherries, chopped 1 cup candied pineapple, chopped 1 cup pecans 1 can sweetened condensed milk Instructions 1. preheat oven to 325 degrees 2. in a bowl, combine melted butter with graham cracker crumbs. Pat crumb mixture into a 9 inch by 13 inch pan. 3. Press each ingredient, in a single layer, on top of the crumbs, starting with the coconut flakes, then add dates, cherries, pineapple, and pecans. 4. Cover the entire dessert with the sweetened condensed milk. 5. Bake for 20 minutes. Cool completely and cut into 15-18 bars.

Maybe some of the items will be more reasonable on their sale this week.

Experience is nice. I have to have most gifts shipped to relatives. Not as much fun but I still love to go out on Black Friday to get stuff for myself. iPads are always good gifts...for others or yourself.

Photo #1 Look at all those people lined up for Black Friday! I wonder if they know we only got 1 of the X-Box door buster deals this year. Photo #2 The deals aren't as good this year....but I think the lines are shorter. Photo #3 3 hours in line waiting for the store to open... 10 hours shopping... and I still couldn't find the ONE toy that my child MUST have for Christmas.

I wish more ads were in print. I miss going through the big stack of ads on Thanksgiving to prepare for where to go first to get the best Black Friday deals.

A lot of my shopping is for myself now too.

Lots of Christmas decorations in the stores now. Already got advent calendars for out of state daughter and family. One year I waited until November and was checking everywhere because the one wanted was out of stock all over town. So now I order online early and have them sent to them. The dollar tree near me has lots of cute decorations right now. You have to be careful to check the price because a lot of the stuff is over the $1.25 they went up to. It used to be really easy to take little ones there with a few dollars to let them pick out a few things...now they might not have enough for one thing. I remind myself of older relatives...I remember when....lol

I still like black Friday. It's not quite as exciting spread out like it now is but still good deals to be had if you're looking for what's on sale.

I agree with most posters....more pre black Friday sales and less great deals. I don't think the election will have much effect because it's too close to black Friday. The sales have already started earlier this year. I'm hoping for better sales on smaller size TVs...under 50 inches....and grills. Those two items had super deals a few years ago.
