  1. We have done this for 3 years now. "Elfie", I know such an original name, usually appears the night after the tree goes up. Our Elf is mischievous and also likes to pull pranks on our girls when they don't have such a great day.
  2. Very cool. They should have made it a surprise.
  3. Almost all their specials are MIR. I hate mailing stuff to get my money back.
  4. When you are in the app store before you download the game the requirements will tell if it needs to be connected or not. FYI, allot of the Farmville type games need to be connected so they can update, but they are free to play Angry Birds whenever they'd like.
  5. The iPhone and iPod cords are interchangeable. Like mentioned before it will come with it's own charger also. The iPod can only access the internet through wifi. There are portable hotspot adapters that you can get through most wireless providers if it's a must to have access when wifi is unavailable.
  6. Weird because that's the email my coupons were attached to. It was an update that MW3 was having a midnight release and said up to $50 in free GC's. I wonder if it's regional. What part of Pa are you in?
  7. I received it on the 4th. It was for a $20 GC on 1 game or $50 on 2 games marked $59.99 and up.
  8. TRU has a deal with a gift card also. The advertised deal is $15 GC for one game $40 for 2, but if you are a rewards member you should have received an email for a $20 GC for games $59.99 today only. The price is better with this offer but if you don't need the live membership the TRU deal might work.
  9. Have you tried to go directly to the hasbro site? They have a full section dedicated to The Transformers. Sign up for the mailing list and they should send you coupons. At most stores you can use those coupons on top of any current deal the stores are having.
  10. I may have to break out the Christmas stuff early. We have already had our first snow fall in PA and the local radio station has already switched over to Holiday music.
  11. LOL i was watching that also. You can never go wrong with a little Griswold Xmas spirit.
  12. WOW! Would you mind coming to do my shopping?
  13. A Christmas Story is also a classic. My wife and I usually watch that Christmas eve as we wrap the gifts since it's usually on back to back.
  14. Unless the specialty ones are on sale (the one that sparks or the one that has the chalk on the back) they should be relatively easy to find without camping. I'm sure TRU, Target, and Walmart will all have their version on sale.
  15. Thanks for the heads up because I saw nothing but good reviews on the WM site.
  16. It's never to early to fall in love with LEGO's or Star Wars! You do have to watch the small pieces around them though. But it would make a nice start to the collection that they could use yearly. I wish I had boys...lol. My girls couldn't care less about a LEGO and Star Wars is like poison to them!
  17. The razor scooters usually go on sale on BF. Just make sure you get a "razor" scooter. I didn't feel like waiting at TRU to get the one they had on sale and just grabbed the $12 ones they had at Walmart. They didn't make it a week. The brake fell off the back the first time DD6 used hers and DD9 was riding hers and it completely collapsed because the bolt that held it upright came off.
  18. Pretty much every year on BF after shopping and the annual nap, we pull out the decorations, turn on the Christmas music, and get to work on the tree. The girls love it and get so excited because thats when the count down for Christmas begins. Even though we are in the spirit with the music and the decorating it still isn't officially Christmas time until one thing happens... The airing of "How The Grinch Stole Christmas" http://images.bcdb.com/pictures/other/grinch_stole.jpg No matter how many times we watch this, it's like watching for the first time. It's funny because my DD knows all the words by heart! So what event makes the holiday season official in your home? Is it a movie? A song? Something completely random?
  19. 22. I'm not to far from you. I usually do my shopping in Morgantown, then head to the Exton area. I tried to hit up the TRU in Reading last year for the midnight opening and ppl were parking in the mall parking lot to get into TRU. I passed!
  23. The wired ribbon is bendable. We usually just make a loop around the top branches and pinch it to hold in place. For the most part it won't go anywhere.
  24. I'm not sure I'm willing to drive 15-16 hours to save 2% in sales tax. Are you cutting your trip short just to make the sales?
