  1. I'm missing so much LOL but I just had a 2nd baby so I haven't been able to go to Target. I got the Toy book in the mail today and since our Target was recently renovated, we have been getting coupons in the mail. I'm hoping to get out tomorrow for the first time... here's hoping Halloween is 90% and that there is something left in my store (doubtful) but I'll try. I've never been able to score anything on the halloween clearances before. Thanks for all the tips. Is there any newborn stuff available? Is the Dollar Spot salvaged already? It sounds like it is but I couldn't quite tell from all the posts. I love the dollar spot for getting toddler books and trinkets that I don't mind if DD rips or draws on them.
  2. Late Sunday, we went to another Target since I had $10 in formula checks expiring that day. I checked out there dollar spot - and they still had tons of workbooks, some Pooh books that we bought at 50% off and could not find at 75% off at the other store (yay for that), some flashcards and miscellaneous coloring books that I didn't see at the other store. And also a foam clock. So I got another 16 items which was great. Toddler sandals were 75% off - got 3 pairs in 3 sizes. Also got 1 lonely Toy Story towel (same as others are reporting). There were a bunch of Gilligan brand undies for women at 75% off (2.48) - 3 pack bikini.
  3. I was only at Target for enough time to go to the Dollar Spot. Yay for 75% off - I've been without internet for 2 days due to a storm/tornado. But it went as scheduled and I was able to get a bunch of toddler books and workbooks that everyone else was seeing. My mom's area was much better but she's visiting so I had to keep some books at 50% off only. No crayons
  4. I know... I feel like clearance is slowing down nowadays. I'm waiting for those darn toddler sandals to go 75% off. Still 50% off. Also, there were no fabric bins left on clearance in my stores. I did get some at 50% off when I was out of town for labor day weekend. I guess 50% is better than 30% off. No chance of me getting them at 75% off. I am stalking the darn brown spot dollar spot - I can use so many things. I heard rumblings that they are at 30%. I really really hope that it automatically goes to 75% off and not like last time. My stores had no signs so 50% off was the best we could get on the yellow dot.
  5. Majority of the schools start today - and the BTS regular was still not marked down as of yesterday but backpacks and lunch boxes were 30% off. A lot of college stuff was anywhere between 15-50% off, large amounts were 15-30%.
  6. So it also came up INF or $0 for you too? I guess that's nationwide then. I'm debating whether or not to go to my Target. Probably too much hassle at this point since I won't be able to get 75% off unless it's marked as such.
  7. Same here. Still 50% off... hmm... I wonder when it will go to 75%. I may check back tomorrow. I found Cherokee party dresses from Easter in DD's size for $4.24. It was INF but marked as an online item so the cashier inputted it for me - first time - no problems. I originally couldn't find DD's size when I first saw them 75% off a few months ago.
  8. I went to Target today since I needed to get some groceries and I kinda checked out their clearance sections. Most of the stuff was 15-30%, with some stray items at 50-75% in most of the departments. They had a bunch of random toys from the toy clearance still left at 75% off - like the Toy Story 3 army men & Moon Sands & some other older girl toys. I'm not sure what they scan (if they are salvaged) but there were still a bunch left which they moved to the outdoors aisle. All the air fresheners and dish washing liquids (Febreze, dawn, joy etc) were all 15% off. Not low enough for me to bite. What is in the yellow dot $ spot (is it mostly outdoor stuff/summer stuff)? I forgot to check it but I guess I will head back on Saturday to see if it goes to 75% off. I am hoping that at some point the brown dot goes on clearance cause I saw so many things DD could use. I bought another pair of toddler jeans (xhilaration) at $3.24 (I still have not seen the $2.49 Circo jeans that everyone else has been seeing). I also got a C9 women shirt at 75% off (4.24) and Girls shoes (ballet style shoe) for $1.79 (it was 75% off as online item). I really was hoping to find toddler sandals on clearance but didn't see any. I had gotten one style earlier this year for 75% off in 2 sizes but as the summer progresses, I think DD's feet will actually be too big for that size, come next summer so I probably have to return them. Oh - there was virtually nothing clearanced in the baby/infant section. I saw some boxes of Up & Up baby wipes for 15% off ($10.xx) and that was it. In terms of baby clothes, they had jean shorts at 50% off $4.98, a ton of boy Cherokee "polo" type shirts 30-50% off. Girl's swimsuits were only 30% off $6.48.
  9. I was at a Target not in my area - and found a Little People's Fairy Treehouse that I was looking for at my stores but couldn't find for DD. Yay! But there was nothing else good at this store. A lot of toys were only 30% there that are 75% off at my stores. Probably why they are still on the shelves and not bought yet. Since I was able to find the Fairy Treehouse, I think I will take back the Disney Magic Oven -- I heard it got bad reviews. Anyone else here have an opinion on it? I also got 3T Circo shorts for $1 for her for next summer that none of my stores had and the $3.24 Exhileration Jeans. In fact, 3T must be super popular in my area cause none of the stores have that size. In baby clearance, they had a bunch of random stuff, I only picked up $2.49 3 pack of Circo Long Sleeve Onsies.
  10. I almost bought one too but I called DH from the store and he looked up reviews and we decided against it. While it's pretty cheap, he felt she was still too young and a lot of people said that it was more fun than educational. I was hoping for the educational angle. I did see discs for it, so I do think you need to get some discs to have extra activities. But it should come with something in the starter pack. I went to my final Target, the one closest to me, today. What a nightmare as it is being remodeled and they moved the entire section of toys. But left most of the clearance toys in the old section. People were ravaging it. There really wasn't much left that I would be interested in. I saw someone with the nesting blocks - URGH! Beat me to the last one. I just have to accept that it wasn't in the cards to get it this year. We will be in NJ area tomorrow but after reading some blogs and forums, I doubt there is anything left in that state -- soo many resellers clearing the shelves entirely. I picked up a bunch of random little things like Thomas and Imaginex and Trios. I was going to get the Knex and the lone Circo dinosaur infant toy but ended up putting them all back. I saw the play grill there but it was just too big for me to carry home and we don't even have a backyard. They had a lot of outdoor toys left from the infant swings, to other FP and Little Tykes games, they also had a FP bubble mower. And DOH - I found tons of unsold sports balls and playground balls from summer clearance that I couldn't find at summer clearance and wanted so badly, but they wouldn't sell it to me for less than regular price. I returned MLP stuff. ### Little Mermaid Special Edition Figurine Set $2.48 ### Ernie Collect-A-Pal $0.78 ### Fisher Price Melody Push Chime Keychain $0.98 ### Fisher Price Rock-a-Stack Keychain $0.98 ### Disney Cool-Bake Magic Oven Refill Pack $1.72 ### Fisher Price Games Ice Cream Scoops of Fun $2.24 ### Trio Fire Rescue Squad $1.98 ### Imaginext Mr Freeze $0.98 ### Thomas Take and Play $1.44 ### Thomas Bryon $1.24 Btw - someone posted that their Thomas Windmill Set was only $9.98 or something. It was $12.48 when I got it yesterday. $2.48 difference - dang!! Could have gotten a lot of extra toys with that.
  11. I really really wanted this for DD but I couldn't find it at all. Great deal for sure!! Hopefully the alphabet foam play mat is enough. I'll check out another store tomorrow but I highly doubt that they will have it either.
  12. I went to 2 stores today and got (i believe) WAY too much stuff. The first store was not completely marked down when I went in the morning so I stopped by again after a playdate in the late afternoon and was able to get the items I wanted plus more. I'm sooooo happy. My best finds were items to stock my DD's play kitchen. (off the top of my head - I'll update once I read all the past posts) ### Playwonder Breakfast Set (includes pancakes) $3.68 ### Playwonder Dish Set $3.72 ### Circo Vacuum $4.98 ### Circo Blender ### Circo Coffee Maker ### Circo Basket of Play Food $1.24 (I loved this!!!) ### Puzzle Patch 6 Preschool Puzzles $0.98 ### Trio Bulldozer $3.74 ### Thomas & Friends - Talking James (wooden version) $6.94 ### Thomas & Friends Take and Play - Cranky at the Docks $6.94 ### Little Tykes Lawnmower $6.24 ### Princess & The Frog Serving Set $5.88 ### Circo Train Depot $4.98 ### Circo Repairing Station $4.98 ### Thomas Windmill Set $12.48 ### Duplo Farm Set $1.24 ### Duplo Set $1.44 ### Disney Cool Bake Magic Oven $4.98 ### Chuck the Talking Truck $8.98 ### Circo Bath Play Set $2.48 .... I bought a lot more than this, but a lot of stuff is still in the trunk. Will update as soon as I retrieve it from the car (and hopefully figure out how to take a photo of it). I'm most excited about all the play stuff I was able to get DD. Surprisingly there were basically NO true infant/toddler type toys at either of the 2 stores. One store I remember seeing some stuff at 30% off so maybe someone bought it. There was still a lot of stuff left that I didn't get or wasn't close to age appropriate for DD or #2 due later this year. Like the Nitro Laptops -- at 5+, I passed, but it looked like a great deal. I also saw a Fisher Price Cool Computer thing for $13.42. DH read reviews and most people said it was only fun to have but not all that educational so I passed (ages 3-5).
  13. Urgh - still 30-50% off at my store that I visited today. I could find nothing at 75% off. I didn't check the other store due to timing. It is not known to markdown earlier as I think Thurs is the earliest day I have seen. I don't know which one to hit first tomorrow. One of them doesn't have a free parking lot. I did find a baby comforter for $5.24 (75% off) - it was only marked 30% off. Also a lone dust ruffle for the crib for $4.74 (75% off) - I didn't buy this one. The rest were Britax - I'm not sure if there was a price change there but it wasn't marked.
  14. I finally found one lonely C9 clearance men's shirt remaining at $3.24 and also in the men's section, the MLB apparel for infants at 75% off - $3.24 for a 2 piece outfit (18M size). Interesting enough, the Mets items were 75% off, but I don't think the Yankees are. There were tons of adults/kids t-shirts for the Mets for 75% off as well.
  15. I'm probably repeating stuff but here's my experience: So I went to the 2 other Targets that are further away and at the 1st, I was able to find some more 90% off summer items including the sand toys (trucks), a bowling slip & slide, utensils and cups that I didn't find at the store yesterday. But I couldn't find any of the playground balls or Sunbeams, which was to be expected. They had a lot of those 4 pack tumblers left. I don't like that kind of plastic stuff though. They also had some other games as well. The toy clearance was pretty dismal here too. I saw some stuff for DD at 30-50% off but that's it. And it was slim pickings. The baby clearance was non-existent. There were a few 15% off Britaxs and some sort of bedding. All the clothes were 30-50% off. Even the jeans that I saw at 75% everywhere else were only 50% off here $6.48. 2nd store - NO 90% off summer at all left. There was an endcap that was marked 90% off so I guess the sign killed it but it is a very high traffic store so I didn't think I'd find anything. The toy clearance was a lot more plentiful here... but it was mostly in the aisles. A lot more infant/toddler toys marked but none of the toys that I really want for DD - a nice to have at 75% off but not a must. They were all either 30-50% off. I saw people in the aisles scanning but I don't think many prices changed. Pretty much all the brands had something clearanced except I didn't see FP. A lot of trios and legos clearanced but my kids aren't at that age yet so I didn't look closely. Baby clearance was overall the best I've seen since they had something. One end cap of stuff -- a lot was still 30-50%, mostly 30%, but I did find a few things at 75% off. They had a ton of 3 pack baby socks for $2 (75% off). I didn't get them. They had several online returns that were 75% off. I think a nice mobile but I didn't need it so I passed - certainly better than the FP mobile we currently own. Online return of 2 packages of crib sheets for $2.76 each (75% off) - these I did get. They had tons of 2T and 4T girls jeans but nothing in 3T since I already got 2T. July 4th clothing was 75% off. Oh- they had a fairly big section of high chairs and carseats and swings and strollers for 30-50% off. Most of it was 30% off. ### Carter's Joy Bodysuit Boys NB $0.98 (75% off) - also had girls in other sizes ### 6-12M Shoes $3.00 (75% off) So it sounds like the big 75% off won't be this week? Should I even bother trying tomorrow morning?
  16. I only had energy to go to one Target today. I haven't been there in 2 weeks. I wasn't expecting anything since a lot of people reported the 90% summer stuff yesterday and I kept telling myself, I don't really need the stuff. So I checked out the baby section first -- STINKS! Not a single thing looked like it was baby clearance - not even an end cap for it. All they had were infant & toddler clothes. I was able to score just one 2T (only one left) jeans for DD - luckily it was in her size at 3.24 (75% off). The rest of the clothing was mostly 30-50% off. Other 75% off - were infant (up to 12 M) boys t-shirts at $1.25 and boys infant swim tops at $1.74. July 4th stuff was ringing up at 75% off - so plates and other odds and ends. I didn't get any of it. Thanks for all those who posted about summer clearance - I would have never known. At 90% off - I got what I thought I could use only - $0.19 napkins (2), $0.15 polka dot plates (1), Assorted splash ball items $0.49 (the one that includes the football shaped one), Seal & Whale floatie $0.79 (2), cookie cutter (1) $0.29, Ice Cream Maker (1) $2.49 (only one left), Sand toy $0.29 (1 - only one left) and Rubbermaid Ice Pack (1) $0.21. I wanted the 3-playground balls, but the box was empty and there was only 1 of the 3 balls. So I passed since it will be awhile before DD turns 4. They still had all the sidewalk chalk left (I passed even though it's soo cheap), a bunch of napkins, some hoop jumping thing and badminton sets and splash balls. All the toys were still 30% here. and even at 30% off, it was really slim pickings. Nothing that I really wanted. I'm looking for play food items for DD and other toddler/baby toys. I'll be stopping by 2 targets tomorrow - too bad the 90% summer will be salvaged by then (knowing my area's schedule). I'm not sure if the toys will go 75% here... maybe? I thought it went 75% off on a Friday before?
  17. Thanks for the 4th of July comments. Sad to hear that it wasn't going like normal. I wonder if it will even go to 90% off this year. On another note, I think I finally found the kids/toddler jeans that everyone has mentioned in the past -- and this is the first time I've seen them on the clearance rack and they are only 30% off. Both of the stores closest to me are undergoing remodel for the grocery and a department rearrangement.
  18. So did anything more ever happen to July 4th clearance? Is it a sign of things to come on holiday clearance?
  19. I think that they announced this back in January 2010, or maybe earlier? I can't quite remember but it's been awhile. No stores in my area have garden centers but I remember reading about it as it was affecting people in other areas.
  20. Black Dot was 75% off here as well, and there were no signs at all. I got 29 items total - mostly toddler socks like Hello Kitty and Toy Story. I also got some Scuni hair items, a jolly rancher lip balm, kitchen towels 2 pack, batteries (but I didn't have a cpn), and lint roller. I saw greeting cards at another store earlier this week that I would have loved to get, but I couldn't find them here. All Patio furniture that still remained went from 50% to 75% sometime btw yesterday and today. There were grills still there yesterday but either they took them away or sold them all yesterday. I saw none today.
  21. Oh my - what an experience I had today. I mostly went to the Target to return something and be in A/C cause this heat wave is kicking my butt. First the entire store is COMPLETELY reorganizing, I guess, and everything in the baby department was cleared out and awaiting to be replaced somewhere else. All the racks in the infant & girls sections were pushed together into one section so it was really impossible to push a cart through since everything was just scattered about. The shoe section had been moved but all the shoes were scattered everywhere on the shelves. Needless to say, I only saw some Britax Marathon's at 30% and some crib bumpers at 30%. July 4th type clothing was sticker marked 50% off. Will these go to 90% off (if any left? or is this not like the other big holidays). There was not much in the toy clearance but I did see a lot of MLP and some SSC for 30%, most toys were marked 30% off - like a Fisher Price Doodler and some Circo toys. I'm hoping to find some play kitchen stuff for DD, but nothing else that they had marked down interested me at all. Hope there will be lots more for the semi-annual toy clearance. Black Dot was 50% off. There were only a few flip flops left... nothing else looked interesting enough at 50% off, but I'll check it out at 75%. They had a lot of plastic bowls and things like that but I passed on them since they are likely not BPA free.
  22. My store only is at 15% and 30% and the selection is weak. Another store had nothing in baby marked at all. We're also expecting #2 (different gender) but we're not going to have another shower. In the last 2 baby clearances, I was never able to get anything good. I'm hopefully for this year since I have a little more time to hunt but I'm dragging a toddler with me. I've seen bibs and socks and some clothes, but nothing that I would buy yet. Luckily, I discovered that DD actually had a lot of gender neutral or boy onsies as an infant so I can recycle those.
  23. Good day at the Target for me - I suppose. DH actually wanted to go to Target to see if he could get in on the Xbox 360 deal. So he voluntarily drove out about 30 minutes to a Target that we don't normally go to to check it out (the Targets close to us are too busy & always OOS). The first one didn't have it so he drove to another one - and found it. I meanwhile checked out all the clearances. Nothing really exciting - same types of grocery discounts and some clothing discounts in womens. But overall, very few items were even 75% off. Baby section had little to nothing clearance, even the clothing was really slim. I did see 75% off girls toddler jeans (but they were really dark blue and not the style I was looking for, for DD) - 3.74 (75% off from 14.99). No big item baby stuff at all. But my best find was in the shoe section. I had purchased DD the white toddler sandals in Ohio for 50% off. Well, they finally were marked down here and to 75% off (this is 5 weeks later than everyone else). I got the 2 sizes that I got before, but they didn't have anything larger than a size 5 as I was hoping to find size 6. So I can return the higher priced ones. Also they had a lot of shoes on clearance. Most of the adult ones were 30-50% off, but the kids/toddler/baby were anywhere from 30-75% off. Most flip flops were 50-75% off, mostly 50% -- hello kitty, and also beach type styles.
  24. My Target is pretty dead for clearance stuff. Here's what I saw - all toys and toddler/baby stuff was 30% off only (including Littlest Pet Shop stuff). The food clearance was 50% off (mostly progresso bowls soup, candy and single serve flavored water). There were only Britax Marathons on clearance. It was too heavy for me to scan but it was marked 30% (approx $227). H&B stuff was only 15% off. Really slim pickings there. There was only 1 rack of Men's wear for 30%, but the women's section had a lot of racks up to 50% off. Nothing really jumped out at me as being a good deal. Here's what I did pick up - Toddler Blue Flip Flops $0.62 (75% off) (sizes S 5-6 and size M 7-8) Lifesavers Hard Candy $0.93 (it was marked $1.14 at 50% off... $0.93 is odd number) - $0.75/1 printable mfg cpn = $0.18 (this cpn beeped) Simply Lemonade $1.99 - $1 mfg cpn = $0.99 (not a sale but needed it) I'm happy cause now I can take back the 2 pairs flip flops that I bought DD for $1.74 each while on vacation (and no tax here). These are more unisex and we're expecting a boy. Those pink flip flops were actually also there for the same price. They also had a lot of converse (?? I forgot the brand) type sneakers for girls at 30% off ($11.98 or something). And C9 sneakers for adults for $13.98 (30% off). Oh Patio Furniture had not been marked down yet here.
  25. While on a trip over the weekend, we stopped at a few New England Targets (some in MA and some in ME) -- it seemed like their clearance sections were slim pickings, esp in the toddlers/baby sections. All the jeans were still 50% off. Most summer items were marked to 30% off. Most of the H&B items were 30-50% off - like Olay/Venus bundles (50% at 4.99). I left with only a C9 long sleeves mesh shirt that DH needed at 30% for $13.98 - I'm hoping to find it here for 50-75% eventually, but I know my stores, and C9 stuff has just not gone past 30% off. I wonder if the NE region just doesn't have as good clearances as other regions.
