Perimeter Perusing at Target (Target Clearance Deals) - 2011

That's awesome. I only dream of finding one at 75% off, I'm hoping to at least sell the other single stroller we have to get some money to pay for this one. It's interesting cause in 4 years, this is the most baby clearance I have ever seen in the store (hehe... where were these items when I was looking for them with DD). People reported here getting cribs and furniture for 75% off already and other big baby items, and there aren't any items like that here. I'll be in my mom's area next week, but I think the clearance finds in her area are even worse than they are here. I remember over the summer, they had the Britax get to 50% off but it was salvaged after 50% - but a Britax is a lot more expensive so maybe that's why? It started at 15% off. But I've read people scoring 75% off Britax. I'm still hoping to find some returns on the toddler snow boots in DD's size for next year. -

Did anyone here get the Thomas Early Engineers Quarry Set? I picked it up for $9.99 today and there are no stickers on it so I was wondering if it is 50% off or 75% or neither. Thanks! EDIT: hmm... it got pretty terrible reviews. I may take this one back. Big baby items went 50% off here and I caved and picked up a Sit N Stand that I really wanted - and it's the only one I have seen. I've never seen the big baby items here go to 75% off. Is it true that if it starts at 15% off that it might not go all the way to 75%? All the other baby stuff pretty much went to 75% off last week and everything I saw last week, there was NONE left today. Thankfully, I got some stuff. All the Hanes pants went to 75% off in toddler but the tops were still 50%. A lot of baby/toddler clothes on the racks went 75% off today as well - a lot of cute girls stuff - small pea coats and xmas dresses but nothing in DD's size, they were all too small. Tons of jeans for 75% off 12M-5T (3.24). Tents were still marked at 30% -- all the B&D drills are gone. -

Mine started at 15% for the regular Lego sets so I don't think that they will go down to 75% but it's still worth checking. I have never seen 75% off Legos in my store. But other people have reported it. -

Ok - so toys was a total bust for me at the other store cause I guess they did end up clearancing on schedule (maybe Friday, cause it wasn't on Thurs) so by the time I got there today, there was almost nothing left at all sadly. No problems, I took a gamble and didn't invest in driving all the way there. But luckily the trip wasn't a complete waste cause I felt like I hit the jackpot on the baby clearance. I have NEVER seen so many 75% baby items ever in 4 years of hunting. Granted I didn't find anything hot like a bjorn or a pump but I do need things for DS so this was a really great find. Most of it was clothing - some were blankets and comforters (but we didn't use one at all with DD - just her Carter's fuzzy blanket and that worked so that's all we are getting for DS). A lot of it was size NB and 0-3Ms, which I'm not looking for. After a lot of digging, here's some of the things I got: Elmo/Zoe underwear 7 pack - $2.24 (great deal for me cause I've been paying $4-5 for a 3 pack) Gerber Graduate Toddler Feeding Set $1.98 Circo Sleep & Play $1.98 (2 pack) Gerber Sleep & Play $2.56 (3 pack) Carter's 3 piece onsies $1.98 Circo Flannel Receiving Blankets $1.78 I also got several toddler girls shoes btw 2.48-3.24. I really wanted a pair of boots but they didn't have her size in one store and had no boots left in the other store. Toy Clearance - I did find the Medical Doctor's Set that someone mentioned here. Thank you! Cause I have been searching for a set for DD and was thinking about paying for the Fisher Price one ($14.99) but this is soo much better for just $2.50! No kitchen clearance. I didn't get a chance to look at the bedding. -

Quickie question - did you need to show your receipt? I think I might have the online receipt since we ordered it from Walmart. Our Graco wheel got busted somehow and the basket thing doesn't stay up anymore. The infant carrier/carseat is still good though. I'm inching to go to Target - our toys were still 30-50% as of Sat but I haven't been there since. -

Mine is still 30-50% off. I couldn't get to the one that I have to drive to cause I couldn't get the car out of the parking spot and find another parking spot when I am back. Urgh to the snow!! Only 1 toy that was 75% off - ice cream stacking game. I left with regular price Gerber Training Pants. -

I would really like:Thomas Train Set of some sort Circo Train Set Playwonder Kitchen stuff Little Mommy Set (which would be a great reward for DD when she gets completely potty trained - she's really into her dolls now - copying me when I'm taking care of DS) Legos of some sort (all still 15%-30% here) Also - Ok- to all those with kids - how do you do it? I have toddler DD in the front of the cart, but DS is in the infant carrier that just fits into the rest of the cart. Now, where do I put the stuff I want to buy? I usually wait until DH comes home from work to watch at least one of the kids if not both, but for the semi-annual toy clearance... there probably won't be anything left. I can walk with them to a closer one, but the toy selection isn't good. I need to drive to the further one. -

My kiddos are too young to figure out how big their feet really are, however, I think DD2 has small feet (still in size 5/6). DH has big feet (size 11) and I have small feet for my height (size 6/6.5) - but I seriously can fit the size 3.5/4 ballet shoes they sell at Target (no socks though). Really bizarre. Christmas INF here. Sad... I found out that the Santa's reindeer carter's pram that I wanted for DS was 90% off but since my store had no tags... they quoted me a price that was 60% off only. I dress DS (2.5 months) in a lot of holiday clothing LOL. Also - the weather? Another snow storm?! how can I take out the car to get toys. -

The beanz were $0.34 here. Hehe... $0.05 more each. I only got 6. DD is still a little too young for it. But we know kids who are 5 and up. -

So I am totally addicted because I overslept again and couldn't get out before DH had to leave for work - so I ended up bundling up both kids - one in stroller, one in the baby carrier and walked to the closest Target. At least it was above freezing today (36 degrees). I searched high and low for more N&N PJs and nothing - the cashier bought the rest (she thanked me today - no prob) but even worse, I kinda wanted the flannel sets and couldn't find thoses anywhere and then, I see 2 people retrieving their hidden stash. URGH - I should have been smarter and hid something. They had 1 of the queen size flannel sets. Happy for them, but sad for me. $1.99 for a set would have been hot. Is there a difference btw the more expensive flannel sheet sets and these kinds that Target has? Is there such thing as a softer flannel sheet set? All I was able to find was a lonely Carter's bid in the 90% off section which has been pretty much depleted down and taken apart. Wrapping paper was the most abundant item. I saw Axe sets at 75% off but I had no coupons. I also got some of the individual Xmas men's boxers that were $0.79. Without the boxer, it would have been a dud trip. Toy clearance - a few were 50% off, but most were only 30% off and I scanned them just to check. All the Thomas' were still 30% off. Not much left. How much is that Little Mommy thing, any one see this? DD would love it. She just really got into her doll this week - helping her take a bath, changing diaper (using her own clean ones) etc. It was too heavy for me to scan with the baby carrier on me and a stroller to watch. But this store was really low in clearance toys. I hope to be able to drive to the bigger ones. The aisles are SOO narrow now that they added the expanded grocery section. -

Thanks. Ah, I couldn't find any toddler Carter's PJs, which DD will actually wear. I didn't even think to scan the N&N blue ones or the red ones. I wonder if it will be salvaged tomorrow or if my store gets one more day at 90% since it only went to 90% today. Should I attempt one more trip? ;-) Also - I saw nursing bras at 30% -- $9.03 or something. I remember someone mentioned that they were 50% off in there store. I hope they go to 50% off soon as I could use one. -

Same with me! The day that I oversleep is the day it goes 90% off. Great. So I missed going in the morning but I decided to go as soon as DH got home at 7 pm. I was overjoyed to be able to still find something. Everything in the Christmas aisles were a complete MESS, no surprise there. All that was left was dirty opened cards, bows, ornament hooks, light hangers, some piggy banks, stockings, tons of wrapping paper, shirt boxes and random junk (a little bit of candy). So I didn't need any of that since I have stocked up in the past, but ended up picking up a 4 pack of wrapping papers since DS will also be old enough next year to rip open gifts. Everything else I found in other aisles. I half-heartedly "hid" a Thomas train where someone else had dumped it, and of course it was gone - as I was expecting. I had bought one at 75% off knowing it would be hard to find at 90%. I did find 1 - 4T N&N PJs even though DD doesn't like wearing pjs yet cause she doesn't like going to sleep. Thanks everyone for the tip. Also found the women's S N&N pj - dang it's huge for a size small. Also managed to find the Little Critters Xmas book that disappeared from the book section but happened to be in the cart near the Xmas aisle. I saw a women with 8 scotch tapes in her basket. I think she got them all. Otherwise, I got some Similac formula (back up to $6.49 no wonder it was in stock but my cpn was expiring today so I just got it there) and 90% baby onsies for DS ($0.80 to $0.99 each). The cashier said she would go ahead and buy them as well since she has a baby girl. I left all the girl ones since I already have them from when DD was a baby. :) Total was $25 OOP not great but not bad. Most of the toys were 30% -- the toy section is small in this store and there were soo many people in it already that I just gave up looking. -

Ahh, now that makes sense... thanks for clearing that up for me CocoB. Didn't see the metal version anywhere in 2 stores even before Christmas. I was surprised since the red box items seem to be a uniform price. -

Someone here (Sarasuzymama maybe?) mentioned that it was due to the stock left?? I'm thinking my Target is holding out because there is still quite a bit left in terms of wrapping paper, ornaments and stockings. The rest of the stuff is pretty much sold out. I noticed that a lot of people had the holiday Thomas Train priced at originally $6.99??!! It's $9.99 here, urgh -- ridiculous - $3 difference. -

Yep! In NY, I believe it's the same. As long as one has a receipt here, they will give back what the price paid was. -

My store went to 75% off very early (Wed) and we are still 75% off today. Darn. I guess it's not soo bad since when I went there, it was already 2 pm. If it were 90% off, I bet there wouldn't be anything left. However, I wanted OJ that was on sale for $3 and it was completely bare there. WTH... this store should realize that they have high foot traffic for these staples and restock a lot. I was hoping to buy at least 5 cartons. Anyhow, I left with only a few dollar spot clearance items, which will be salvage tomorrow? (not sure). -

As I learned last Christmas, the Dollar Spot only goes to 75% off and then is salvaged. It does not go to 90% off with the other Christmas items. So there is still hope. -

Definitely agree with that. My store went 75% off on Wed but was still 75% today (it's the 4th day now). Last year, it went 90% off on a Sunday - so I'm guessing that it will go 90% (if it does) tomorrow. Oh, no Christmas trees at all left here - just lots of decorations and stuff. -

75% off in NY -- I actually haven't been there myself but a friend reported it. And I'm too late! A lot of it was cleaned out from yesterday. Need to wait until DH gets back so I can go without the kiddos in the snow. Come home already! LOL -

Just to add cause I don't know how to quote it - I saw some things that looked like they were part of the holiday line in the girls section. Just didn't see anything in boys or boys in infant/toddler. JML :) -

Oh no! I was hoping that there would be something cause my 2 month old DS is starting to really grow and soo much faster than his sister at this age. I'm short clothing in the 3-6M size, unless I do laundry nearly every day but it's not possible in an apt building. Darn, I should have bought the 6M monkey costume at Halloween but it looked like it had been worn. I'm hoping it goes to 75% off tomorrow as there are items that I would get at 75% off. It won't last until 90%. I remember last year that at 90%, the aisles were really bare. -

My store went to 90% off today. I have no idea when it went to 75% off since I haven't been there in awhile. There were SO many people there and most of them wanted the candy (3 aisles worth of it) but I think some of the none Halloween candy got mixed into it. I got no candy... too tempting and bad for the teeth and also the Reese that were on the shelf felt like they had melted. There were a lot of costumes left but nothing really good in either of my kids sizes for next year. Most were either NB, doggy ones that a lot of people mentioned or older kids. They had a lot of Gnome kids costumes. The newborn costumes were cute but DH made me put them back since DS will no longer be a NB for next halloween (they had Bumble Bee & Hotdog at $1.50 each). I also did find some random bibs and Carters onsies in 3M & 6M ditched in the Christmas aisle. I also got napkins and plates for $0.15 each. I got an Alice & Twiddle Dee costume for $2 each. The Alice costume, I admit, is very poorly made, however, for an outfit they will only wear once, I don't really care. Thankfully, with Oct babies so I can always throw a Halloween themed bday party. Since DH was rushing me, I totally forgot to check out the purple dollar spot for DD's books I did scan a Halloween bib (super cheap quality) and it came up $0.25 so it should be scanning at 75% off, I think.
