  1. I also found a bunch of the shiny slippers etc in the underwear section so don't forget to check there if you like it. I tried them on and they are comfy and cheap enough for me to grab a bunch. Most of the sizes left were S. I am waiting for those sparkly girls shoes to go down to 70% off - it's currently 50% off in my store. I didn't really see any good toys on clearance this year. Maybe my tastes are changing and my kids are getting older and more specific. I am eyeing the Let's Play Now (is that what the brand is called) dress up trunk. It's currently at 30% - I think it was $11.98? In Home section- I saw cute Mickey Trash Cans (metal) for 30% off. It would be fantastic to get one at 70% off. The kids would love that.
  2. This is my first time shopping at my "new" store (since we moved) for clearance. At 70% off, things are still ok but at 90%, there was virtually nothing left that was good. I'm glad that I bought a ton of stuff at 70%. The only things left were stockings (a ton of those), knee high socks, ribbon, and random junk that is broken, some cards and some bags. All the stocking stuffer stuff was cleared out. There were a lot left at 70% off. I didn't have any time to search much of the regular aisles My best finds were the 4 pack of Grinch glasses $1.99 & the Nordic Bakeware Cake Pan $1.49 - both things we need for the house. I was sad that there wasn't much left of the Planters, even at 50% off, and I bought most of the food items at 50%, some at 70%.
  3. I had not been in Target for 3 weeks straight and only went because I have some items to return. I did miss the girls C9 clearance but I was still able to get some of the boys C9 clearance. So - I got a few shirts for DS for $1.38 ($3.88 70% off - $2.50 TQ). I also got a Merona cardigan for $2.98 ($5.98 70% off - $3 Merona TQ). That's it. I couldn't find anything else good. Clearance pretty much stinks here.
  4. Vday is 90% off here... 70% off candy. Happy findings.
  5. I saw just one Graco Comfortsport for 30% in my stores last week. It was the first time I have seen a convertible car seat on clearance this time around.
  6. I picked 11 assorted Mossimo, Merona Ultimate Long Sleeves for $3.60 each today. Great deal for me since I paid $6 and $5 for them back in the fall - but of course, back then, there were a lot of different designs left and stripes. Now it's only boring and odd solid colors left. Beggars can't be choosers. I was glad that there were still some left in my size. Surprisingly the largest number left were in size M and XL (both not my size). Finally found a 4T bright red pea coat for 70% off ($8) for DD next year. She loves it so much, she's wearing it now. Thank goodness for returns. I was surprised that there were soo many boots left this year (probably the snow fall has been little) - so I got a size 10 for $5.58. Thankfully, I got size 8 boots last year since they were the only size remaining for DD, even though she is only a 7, almost 8 this year. So they won't be wasted
  7. It is freaking freezing here and the wind is just horrid!!! There were wild carts everywhere in the parking lot - not too safe. Anyhow - there was still quite a bit left at my Target, even though I didn't really buy much except legos and some pretend play girls stuff. They had tons of the Circo activity table left on an endcap, tons of legos & hot wheels sets. Most of the big stuff was left. Lots of games like Operations etc. I got the Avent sets, Lego City, and some odds and ends.
  8. Same with my stores. Last year, wrapping paper seemed to be the only thing left at 90% and there was TONS of it. This year, barely any of it left at even 70% off. Maybe they learned from last year. I didn't get a single roll in any clearance this year. Thankfully, I got 10 rolls last year and for family, we do recycle wrapping paper if the paper isn't too damaged. This year, there were tons of bows and knee high socks - I bet I won't be see any of that next year.
  9. Very true statement indeed - I will remember that advice. I am a mixed bag. I really wanted the Planters Almonds so I was all over the floor, and on my knees etc searching through the 4 shelves of nuts to find the last few that were there. I looked at every can in that approximate size. My bigger problem is that I cannot easily spot which items are going to be clearance items. Like pepperidge farm - I love their line and I need to cut back on the sweets (type 2 runs in the family etc) - and to get so cheap - I keep wanting to go back and see if they have more. LOL But why didn't I just check all the boxes the first time... I don't know! I just didn't think of it at the time. I was on a quest to find the almonds & the hello kitty & the grinch. Only found 1 of the 3. Then I ran out of time trying to figure out what was on clearance. I'm pretty sure I saw the MP almond tubs, but I totally would not have thought about scanning them. Thankfully - you all help me out here! Btw - coffee drinkers is the Via Starbucks any good? It's instant Starbucks right? I only got 4 packs out of the 20 that was there. Toy clearance - just nothing really exciting me... legos are mostly 15% off - esp the smaller sets. The big sets were 30% but the only one that was plentiful was that Star Wars set.
  10. Wow - all I have to say is that you all are amazing. My store was one of the first go to 90% off - and I didn't find any hidden deals that you have found - didn't even think to check. I feel like I need to go back and at least check for these! DH needs more undies... he threw out a bunch cause they got "holie". I think I have some 50 rolls of tape - and I left a more for others Clearance karma!! The only thing that I bought for myself is a Oscar the Grouch xmas tee It was $0.99 in XS. I wanted to find some men's t shirts too. I wanted a Grinch shirt. Sad to find the kids one ringing up at regular price. Today was the first day that I saw the Elf on a Shelf skirt - tons of it! Have yet to see the actual elf on a shelf.
  11. One way that you can maybe get around this is to call and have a DPCI number ready for them (an item that is on Xmas clearance) and ask them to check the price of the item. When they tell you the price, then you can figure out for yourself if it's 90% off or not. That way you don't have to ask specifically about it going to 90% off -- it's a lot easier to just ask for a price. HTHs.
  12. My MIL's store went to 70% off last Friday, but was still 70% off today They had quite a bit left and the new stuff was already set out (the new Great Save Event - retitled to something else). My store at 90% off, was still scanning at 90% off. Very little left. Lots of Reds in the toy section... signs said 30% off, I guess they were marking to 50%? (at least for toys that were 30% before). Legos were 15% off before, I bet they went to 30% off. I didn't get a chance to look if anything went to 70% - there weren't any toys that really jumped out at me as being something that the kids would like.
  13. Hello! it's me... nope, my store went to 70% this year (no more 75% off for us). We are following the same schedule as everyone else - we only go to 70% for regular clearance stuff and for the Christmas clearance, we were at 70% since last Thursday, and today it was 90% - and signs said 90% as well this morning. With all this talk... it makes me want to go back tonight and make one final check with the 90% off... I'm sure there's nothing good left by now but it's the last 90% sale - I gotta be thorough... :(
  14. It went 70% off last Thursday. They are down to only 1 semi full aisle of Xmas stuff and that's it.
  15. My store is at 90% off today! There is hope, esp if your store still has a lot of stuff left. I didn't have time to really shop though - DH needed to get to work and I needed to get back home through the traffic back to the kids. Just a heads up!!
  16. No, I have not seen anything that is ringing with Xmas clearance. Everything I have scanned is all properly tagged with the regular clearance (30% or 50% off at the moment, mostly 30% off here). I scanned a lot of stuff. There are no N&N PJs for infants/toddlers this year in any of my stores. The kids ones were all following the regular clearance, and I must had scanned some 20 different types of PJs from cotton, to fleece, to flannel, to christmas patterns and non-christmas patterns in the women's section. Everything was regular clearance or regular price. Anyone else had better luck? I also have been reading a lot of rumors about no 90% off anymore... anyone else have any info on that?
  17. I left sooo many legos in the store but now that I'm home, I'm having remorse . Should have bought them... my kids lose their legos so quickly, they are hard to replace easily. We were at Legoland and I'm floored at just how expensive little legos are. I have to stop thinking about them. Too bad DH is OOT this week... shopping with the kids makes things much harder.
  18. I too can join the tissue hoarders club - first time I've done something like this but like KC-Traderbear, we use tissues like crazy here. DH uses them for anything - as napkins, as paper towel -- DD sometimes uses it as "wrapping paper" to play with, and I have to rescue crumpled up unused tissues to use. It was a good deal even if it's only 60 tissues per box. I pay at least $1 for 100 count box. I didn't have an coupons though . I could only find the Ninjago ones in my store. I remember in FL (when I was visiting - they had a lot of star wars one, but it was only 50% off at the time). I'm not complaining, I never find Legos at 90% off so I'll take what I can get. They are so expensive otherwise. I went to a different stores cause I couldn't resist checking and sure enough, there wasn't much left of anything but candy. I got so lucky on the tissues, and there were more costumes at this store but not much. I'm so jealous of those who had a lot of toddler costumes left. :) Not much here at all... esp in 2-4T range. I asked my mom to check her store too in her area - and she said there was so little left, but managed to get a Mater ($2) for DS and a Barbie costume for DD ($2). I also found Bernstein Bears Halloween book for $0.39 -- to add to the easter one we have. Just need to get the other holiday ones. They had Dora activity book as well but it was used. Add: I wish I could have found the Planters Almond.. that is the nut that we eat the most at home. I spent about $4-$4.50 at CVS for a 16 oz package. 90% off would have been so nice. :) Nice find everyone! Also - I must say that Kleenex has out done themselves... I think the little house shaped tissue boxes are just too cute. I want one. :)
  19. My store is 90% off too - pretty much everything but candy at 75% off. Odd.. maybe they didn't have the 70% off sign? (I didn't scan them since it's just too much temptation to get candy and having bad teeth runs in the family so adding sugar on it - makes it that much worse ) There were virtually NO costumes at any of our stores left. Only pet costumes and the big rocket ship for toddlers and a few random 24M and younger girl outfits. I'll stick with the Elmo & Superman I got DS at 70% off. Random stuff that I got were books, clothes (they had tons of shirts left and the sparky skirt - tons - I have not ever seen this much holiday clothing left at 90% off before), streamers for DD's bday party next year, goody bags, sing-a-mig, picture frames and fruit rolls (2 boxes). They had tons of fruit roll ups (0.29) left but again, bad for the teeth so I only grabbed 2 boxes. I really had a hard time finally anything in the regular aisles, they pretty much moved everything and with 2 kids - I couldn't check that closely. They did still have a lot of pumpkin baskets and halloween bags left and decor for outside (or inside). Purple dot - salvaged.
  20. I also buy a lot of return quite a bit... I think all my returns this year add up to less than $100 since they are really small ticket items in general. I don't buy electronics there so I don't have any of that... but mostly clothes and a few toys. Sometimes it works in their favor - I buy a lot more and I definitely keep a lot more. I should probably limit myself and stop buying the iffy stuff. Another reason I like Kohling better when it comes to clothing. I've been watching boys toddler swim trunks and those babies just don't want to get marked down here
  21. I did see someone else in Kansas report that their store was 90% off and I think another person in somewhere in the midwest/northwest, and one person in NorCal said that they had 90% off. So I think there are other stores that did it. But I guess my lame stores in the city didn't :( I really really don't like the 70% off. Yuck yuck. It's like when our big ticket baby items only go to 55% off instead of possibly 75% off. Then again, I guess it never lasts in the store until 75% off so 55% off is better than 50% off. BTS is pretty much completely cleared out of my stores. A few backpacks left but that's it. The shoe section was completely ransacked. It was crazy. I didn't even look at it... was anything on clearance there? I think it was just the regular shoes that people were buying. Bedding/bath is only 50% off here. I really want some bath rugs. My mom said her store (which is pfresh renovating currently) went 75% off several weeks ago. I need to replace our bath rugs soon. DD is almost fully PTed - just missing night so I don't want to replace until then (just in case!)
  22. So I went to a Target that I don't normally go to since you have to pay for parking and they only had the brown dot at 70% off. So I checked my closest Target which I cleared out of items that I wanted already on Friday and it was still 70% off as well. I didn't check my favorite Target since it was DH's bday and he really didn't want to be going to Targets. Sad but... at least at the Target that I don't normally go to I did find a few brown dot items that I didn't see at the other Targets. I did get a step stool for our other bathroom for $0.75. Last time, I got it for $0.62. Urgh - darn 70% off. So lucky everyone with the 90% off. $0.10 would make me do the happy dance.
  23. Brown Dot was only 70% off here :( Boo... I had to dig around to find stuff that I wanted. Most of it was gone. Some workbooks and some flashcards. Bath & Bedding still 30% off here. Toddler clothing in this store was only 50% at best. Some 30% off. BTS was only 50% off... some things were only 30% off. There wasn't a single lunchbox left.
  24. TIA - what kinds of items are in the pink dot? I think I'm waiting for the brown dot (school stuff) but I can't remember what the pink dot is. Thank you so much. This definitely helps. I do about 50% of my kids clothing shopping at Target. The clothes aren't as good quality but I reason that they grow out of it so fast that it doesn't really matter.
