  1. My DD has been wanting the Green Day Rockband game -- did they have the Xbox360 ones on clearance too?!
  2. Can anyone post a photo of the Baby Alive that is supposed to be on clearance?
  3. Eastern PA; Exton, Malvern, Lionville area -- Halloween went to 75% yesterday, candy at 50%. Still lots of small kids costumes, and dog/pet costumes. We're having a Mad Hatter's tea party for dd's 15th b-day in January, so couldn't resist Alice in Wonderland "White Rabbit" costume for her large cat, as well as "Tweedle Dee/Dum" costumes for the little twin bros. Weren't any good adult costumes left, although was tempted to buy a Darth Vader for Dh, but doubt I'd get him to wear it... Market Pantry animal cracker snack bags - $0.74 (reg. $2.99) - these are NOT in Halloween packaging, but they had put them with the candy in the Halloween section. Also found one bag of the SunMaid Raisin snack boxes. Pillsbury Halloween Funetti Cake ($0.42/ea.) & Cookie mixes ($0.49/ea.), as well as frosting ($0.42/ea.) Tip about the Pillsbury holiday mixes - the cake mixes have the funetti sprinkles in a seperate pouch (so you can just use the white cake mix by itself if you want), but the cookie mixes have the sprinkles mixed in. Sometimes the stores forget to put these with the holiday clearance, so check the baking isle. Didn't see any Oreos - but had gone ahead and bought a few at 50% earlier. (My kids and I think the Halloween ones are the best.) Found 1 Halloween Mister Potato head - couldn't resist at $1.74, and thought my dd will get a kick out of finding a Polly Pocket ($1.24) in her stocking even though she will be 15 in Jan. (Santa is silly sometimes, Tee Hee!) I wonder if 90% will be on Sat. -- I can tell they are eager to get Christmas rolling - they have Halloween packed onto one isle at most of our area stores, and have all other isles full of Christmas already.
  4. What part of Eastern PA are you in? I went to Lionville Target today, and Halloween was still 50%, though candy went from 30 to 50% - so perhaps Halloween will be 75% off there tomorrow?!
  5. Exton, PA - Valentines was 90% off yesterday. Candy 75% off. I am event director for a Girl Scout Carnival we're having next month, so I bought several med-large Teddy bears ranging from 49-99 cents each! I also got 16 count packages of platic heart bracelets for 19 cents, and although the bagged candy was 75%, any candy I. Heart shaped boxes was 90%, so I got several boxes of Hershery kisses for 49cents each! I'm afraid I've come down with a horrible cold/sore throat, but I might still try to get to the Oaks and Limeric Targets today -- although they may not have anything left!
  6. To all those in TEXAS - I soooooo miss everything! I think I did WAY better with bargain hunting there...I started my Target clearance perusing way back around the time dd was born (1996). I also had about 6 (or more) Targets within a 10 mile radius of where I lived (Austin/Round Rock). Of course that's not all I miss - it's almost like a different country here in PA, for a Texan, anyway.
  7. I went to the Oaks, PA Target today, and the kids soap/shave sets were finally at 50% off, so I went ahead and got them. The toys were still at 30-50% off, and had lots, so I'm going to hold out and hope they go 75% soon. I guess they've taken the Christmas clearance to salvage, cuz I found 2 of the Trio Airplanes, which scanned at $0.00 -- I sucessfully talked the cashier into selling them to me for $0.49 each, but she was a bit reluctant. I tried Walmart, but huge disappointment there. I got excited when I found a whole shelf of Viva holiday papertowels, but they scanned at regular price.
  8. Went out hoping to find 75% off toys - but here (Exton, PA) they were still at 30-50%, although in the middle of re-organizing the isles - so maybe in the next day or so. However, I was quite shocked to still find some 90% off Christmas items -- I thought they usu. only do 90% off one day, and the next, box it up for salvage. I know some stuff must've been stocked on the shelf since Monday (when I was scouring the entire store for 90% off stuff), because today I found 8 rolls of Scotch tape (green package) for $0.19/ea., and 14 packages of Oreos for $0.27/pkg.! (I was so excited, I bought them all!) I ventured to another Target, but didn't have any luck there. Toys were the same (30-50% off), but they too were re-organizing. I asked to have one item scanned, and the associate seemed very annoyed, and said "everything is marked!" Then another associate, saw the look on my face, and when the first went around the corner, she said to me - "Here, let me check it for you." If it hadn't been for her, I'd be really POed. It turned out it was already marked the correct price, which was only 50% off, but it still made me feel better that someone knows what good customer service is. I should have gotten her name. Oh well. Anyhoo...I still came home with a feeling of accomplishment at finding Oeros & Tape!!
  9. Exton, PA is at 90% -- I tried to post from my iphone in the store, but it wasn't working. There are a bunch of 6 ft. pre-lit trees left, lots of ball ornaments, and other odds n' ends. There are many packages of the Pillsbury Holiday Icing in the regular baking section - scans at $0.15/ea. I didn't see any cake mixes left though. I managed to find three red chair covers; reg. $9.99 or $0.99 (and I had bought 3 at 75% off, so I'm going to attempt returning them), several iPod speakers, reg. $5.00, now $0.50 ea. I may venture out to the Oaks, PA location later... we'll see. I'm still jealous of all those who have found Sharpies, tape, paper towels, kleenex, etc. -- NONE of our stores have had any (though I keep checking to see if they mysteriously turn up)!
  10. Still 75% off Christmas stuff here in South Eastern PA. Most of the clearance toys in Exton, PA went to 50% today, but were still at 30% in Plymouth this morning. Exton had a lot more clearance toys than Plymouth, Exton is closer to me, so I'm still holding out for 75% off. Neither store really had all the clearance toys in one section. There was at least one isle that was all clearance, but the rest you had to hunt for up and down all the isles for red stickers.
  11. Went to the Plymouth Meeting, PA location this morning. Christmas still at 75% off, and hardly anything left - did score a red cloth tablecloth 60x84" reg. $9.99 for $2.49. Would've been a waste of a trip if I hadn't found Disney/Pixar "Cars" marker sets in the dollar area 75% off. I bought all I could find - I think 14 sets. (My twins will be having a "Cars" theme party in October, so these will be perfect favors - I got small spiral notebooks at one of the other Targets on Friday.) I also got a bunch (maybe 8) of the gel eye masks (also $0.25/ea.) so maybe I'll talk dd into a spa party for her b-day this month. <Usu. we pick a theme months in advance, but this year she's 14 this year - so it's harder.>
  12. I'll proabably go check here in PA for 90% off, but if it is following the 2007 schedule someone posted earlier, it may not be til Mon. or Tues. I only went to Walmart today, and got 75% off giftwrap (rolls were $0.25-$0.75/ea.). Hope I didn't miss any good toys at Target if they went 50% off today -- but I may still hold out for 75% off on the large truck/car carrier (Target holiday toy selection). The Exton, PA Target had tons of them left. Anyway, I'll check tomorrow.... Oh, FYI - my dd added the Texas flag icon, (she didn't like that I did not have an icon). I am a displaced Texan, living in PA. (Sorry to Pennsylvanians - I'll ALWAYS be a Texan, no matter where I go.)
  13. As far as Price Adjusting - here's what I discovered (at my local Target anyway), if it is listed as a "Seasonal" item, they will not do any sort of price adjustment, and even if you bought it at full price within the 90 (or whatever) day period, they will only give you back the current sale price value! I was pretty miffed at this, when I had bought several packs of blanket sleepers for my twins at 50% off, and then they went 75% off the next day (or it may have been two days - can't remember). This was last year. I really put up a stink about it also, but the manager wouldn't budge!! BTW I'm new to this site, but have to laugh:g_laughin that I've been doing all this stuff on my own for years. My family thinks I'm crazy - but now I can prove to them I'm not the only one!! (Of course they have benifitted from my bargain hunting, so they should be greatful!) I used to live in Austin, TX - but now in the outskirts of Philly, PA area - the Targets don't seem to have quite the selection of stuff here. I'm really jealous of all you that found paper towels, Klenex, tape, and such! All we've got is mainly ornaments. Toys were still at 30% as of yesterday. Christmas was at 75%, and hardly any candy was to be found - like it all just disappeared! I visited 3 Targets within a 25 mile radius of me. Only one had some gift wrap left, and none had any lights. I did see TONS of giftwrap at Walmart, but they are still at 50% - so I'm waiting. Our Walmart waits forever to go to 75, and then even longer for 90. I think it was several weeks into January last year, and then it seemed they had a ton of stuff, and not everything would ring up on sale, so the cashier was having to do math in his head (and he wasn't very good), so I had to really watch him. Anyway....Not sure if I should venture out today...
