  1. Darn it! I have been sick in bed since Christmas Day - and just started feeling human again today. Just reading everyone's posts makes me wonder if anything will be left tomorrow. Anyone in South East PA have a report? My Target has been known to salvage early - but on the plus side, they usually don't post signs for dollar spot clearance. I'm hoping to find a few things left tomorrow.

  3. Just FYI to all those that have purchased the Halloween Funetti cake mixes -- the sprinkles are actually IN the cake mix instead of being in a separate packet. I don't know why they do this, but the Christmas funetti cake mixes always have the sprinkles in a separate packet, and the Halloween ones are always mixed in already. My kids don't care about having Halloween colors in them at odd times of the year, but I was thinking you could use a sifter and try to separate them out.
  4. Malvern, PA store still at 70% Halloween, but went to 50% candy today. Not much left in Halloween I wanted, but lots of kids costumes are there. Pillsbury Halloween funetti cake mixes rang up $0.38 though, so I got 2, used my $1 off coupon from the Target site, and got them for FREE! (Of course since they ended up less than the coupon, the receipt only says -$0.76 for the $1 coupon.) looked for M & M's to use my other coupon on, but none left. Purple dot rang up INF - and there was an associate pulling stuff, so I left it - got enough the other day anyway.
  5. All of my stores were already about reset for Christmas as of yesterday, with all Halloween jumbled into one isle, so I predict 90% off today, or straight to salvage...as one store seems to have the tenancy to do. One store went to 70% off on Friday, while the rest were 50% off. However, candy at all stores stayed at 30% off through yesterday, and as someone else said, food was all over the place. At one store I got Halloween Cliff & Lucky charm bars for 70% off, while they were 50% at another store, and only 30% at another.
  6. Did anyone check the dollar spot yesterday? I got a few fall themed Mary Engelbreit items (with purple dot) on Thursday for 50% off, and was looking to get more at 70% (though wish they still did 75%, *sigh*). I am thinking these would make great teacher, and Girl Scout leader gifts.
  7. 70% off pink dot (some looked oval-ish, but scanned 70%) here today, don't know if today was day 1 or 2, since I hadn't gone to Target all week. I got some really cute pink piggy banks, stackable organizing bins (will work great for my craft table) in pink, green, and black, sticky back google eyes, sticky note pads, Icee cups, erasers, tissue boxes, and some other things. I was bummed that the only Dr. Seuss stuff I saw was plastic drinking cups. They were cute, not enough of them for either of my twin's classes, so had to pass on them. Still LOTS of pink dot stuff left - NO signs, but if today was the 2nd day, they'll scan INF tomorrow.
  8. Drat!! No Albertsons here. I miss Texas!!!!
  9. Went to my Target today, and they were just starting to reset the toy department, and we're in the process of consolidating all the clearance toys. I also heard a couple of the team members who were putting out the new toys, exclaiming that they were finding clearanced items in the stuff they were just bringing out (so were dumping stuff on the one guy who was doing the clearance isle all by himself). I grabbed a couple of deals already mentioned here, but as he was alone with a tall stack of boxes to unpack, I couldn't wait around long enough to see everything. This was around 1:00pm, so they may have gotten done....but almost all Legos were no where to be found. (I did find a Lego City set 50% off.) They said they would be resetting the Lego isle tomorrow, so I guess they pulled them all to the back? Several people besides me asked about them, and they all just kept saying "check back tomorrow."
  10. I'm so jealous of all of your deals! I haven't been able to hit a Target in over a week....and am hoping my Target was late on the markdowns, as they usually are, so maybe there will be something left for me!
  11. Please list the prices you got these items at! That way we'll know where the best deals are. On another note...Does anyone else wonder why Office Depot doesn't really seem to be doing any great deals this year? I'm also annoyed that their website requires you to register (with a phone number) just to make a shopping list. I'm getting discouraged at getting deals like last year, but maybe it's too early for the good stuff...at least that's what I'm hoping. I usually stock up on stuff for my Girl Scout Service Unit, and want the absolute best deals (1 - 10 cents for each would be ideal).
  12. I went to a couple more Targets yesterday, found a few more items. I find it more helpful when people put items they find in list form, so here are my additions to my earlier list: Blue dot on 7/9/12 $0.30 each, reg. $1.00 ###Plastic dustpan & handbroom sets (yellow, pink, blue) ###Microfiber Dish towels (set of 2 in yellow, blue, pink, and white) ###Water balloon sets (green & camo sets, some bagged, and some in plastic grenade shaped containers) ###Foam Flyers (green & blue) ###Rainbow Tin pails $0.75 each, reg. $2.50 ### Plastic Pink Flamingo lawn ornaments (will save for the next Alice in Wonderland event)
  13. Yay! Dollar spot Blue Dot was 70% off here today, and I scored big time! All these items were $0.30 each (reg. $1.00) ###Sesame Street drinking cups ###Sesame Street early reader paperback books ###Dry erase boards (Black. Silver, Green, & Pink framed) ###Crossword & Suduku paperback books ###Crochet Hacky Sacks ###Army Men (Red & Blue) ###Marshmallow Roasting Forks ###Toy Story Plastic plates, bowls, water bottles, and food containers ###Journals (spring colored stripes) ###Sticky Notes (spring fruit, spring designs, Hello Kitty, Mr. Happy, etc.) ###Magnets (chipboard fruit shapes) ###Kids play Army helmets ###Birthday Cards (cowboy, pirate, cup cake, and monster designs) ###Hello Kitty large coloring books (beachy scene on cover) ###Hello Kitty tote bags (beachy theme) ###Hello Kitty travel brush (circle shape) ###Sheet Stickers (various designs; Hello Kitty, Spring fruit, Mr Happy, etc) ###Note cards (various designs as above) ###Cello bags (cupcake, pirate, monster designs) ###List pads (various designs were available, I got about 20 camoflage print bordered ones) ###Star ice cube trays ###Srunci elastics & hair clips ###spools of ribbons ###foam glitter visor hats (red) ###5 Pocket Organizers ###Sidewalk chalk sets (found some plastic boxes with 8sticks, and some larger 5 stick sets with holders) ###Ice Scoops (yellow, pink, orange, & green) ###Novelty pens (HK, Mr. Happy, spring designs, etc.) and more!! I went to 3 different Target stores and found a few different items at each. Misplaced be of the receipts. These items were $0.75 (reg. $2.50) ###Paper Lanterns ###Sunglasses
  14. Can anyone report 70% off blue dot in Dollar Spot yet? My store had tons of Hello Kitty stuff wich would make great girl party favors, as well as lots of sticky note pads, journals, etc. but was still at 50%. We're usu. a day or two behind most of you, so thought I'd ask!
  15. Exton, PA went 70% off on MOST toys today, Lego sets holding at 30-50% (it about killed me to leave them, but we don't really need any more, though I would've gotten them at 70% anyway), and a scattering of other toys still at 30-50%, so be careful. All seemed to be marked, as I scanned a bunch. I didn't see any Halo toys on the clearance there. Here is what I got there: ### 086050039 Circo brand Cupcake Wand $0.74. (DD is having a Cupcakee wars party.) ### 086100208 Time 4 Toys Polka dot Tea Set $4.50 ### 086100225 Time 4 Toys butterfly peg craft set $3.00 ### 086100226 Time 4 Toys Military play set (In plastic jug) $3.00 ### 087050497 Disney Cars 2 RC set (Lightening McQueen & Francesco) $13.48 ### 087061769 Squinkies - Hotwheels $2.98 ### 087061766 Squinkies Cars2 dispenser set $7.48 ### 087070949 Rev up ramp set $11.98 ### 204070542 Hello Kitty Mega blocks sets $3.58
  16. Oaks, Pa went 90% off today. I was so glad to get lots of blue, silver & white ribbon that I had planned to get at the Malvern store yesterday (they sent everything straight to salvage instead of going 90%). DD's school colors are blue & white, and those from Texas probably know, I'm going to save them to make Homecoming mums next year. I may live in PA, but I'm a Texan...and my daughter and I are introducing Texas culture to PA.
  17. As I said before - look for the packages that have "$2.00" printed on the front. On the Magic (green) and Gift Wrap (purple) tape, it's just above a horizontal line on the right side.
  18. I wish I could figure out how attach a photo of the tape. ### Scotch Giftwrap tape, 550 in. $0.20 ### Scotch Magic tape, 550 in. $0.20 ### Scotch pop-up handband dispenser $0.20 ### Scotch pop-up dispenser refills $0.20
  19. Exton, PA was also 90% off. I scored some Christmas LED light, ribbon, gift bags, more tape, and jelly belly pop up bubbles!
  20. Yes! The tape is ringing at 90% off, look for the ones that are marked "$2.00" on the front. There are several different varieties.
  21. Decided to check the tape & scissors...found one scissor & Lots of tape!!! Left some...check regular isle - scotch Magic 550in, has "$2.00" printed on the front above a horizontal line. $0.20 a roll !!!
  22. *#%!! Just got to Malvern Target - they've already pulled ALL the Christmas stuff off for salvage!!! I managed to find a couple of Harry Potter Lego sets at the register. Going to try Exton next.
  23. I saw a few tents marked down (either 15 or 30%, but can't remember) at my store (Malvern,Pa) two days ago.
  24. Most of the Christmas was at 50-70% off here, Except baking & bath products which were still at 15%?!! I think candy was 50%, but all seemed to have disappeared. Still lots of wrapping paper, bags, and stockings. I'm holding out for 90% on those.
  25. Here's my Black Friday (beginning on Thursday eve.): Left the house around 8pm last night, so headed to Michaels & managed to get their last Michaels' exclusive Cricut machine (with 4 cartridges preloaded). Luckily I have gotten to know the store manager a bit (he was a Girl Scout Cookie Dad!), so when I walked in the store, and saw him - I immediately asked him about the machine, and he said there was only one left, but he'd hold it for me while I shopped. :) I also picked four cartridges I wanted (they were 60% off reg. price), and got a free Jubilee cartridge. I've never used one of these, but a friend has one and said she loves it, so thought I'd give it a try. This was my birthday present from DH. (My birthday is Monday.) So, I felt that my BF shopping started out on a good note. Our next stop was Old Navy. Now for a bit of a rant...Did anyone else do Old Navy?! We were after that FREE Kodak Easy Share waterproof camera (w/$40 purchase). Our store had 50 to give out, and I managed to be about 20th in line at 9:30pm last night. DD15 started doing Black Friday with me a few years ago, and brought a friend last & this year. I was a bit annoyed at some of the people in line....yes, I was in total agreement at getting upset when people showed up nearing 11:00pm (and later) and tried to butt in line with their friends after we had all been freezing our butts off waiting there for hours...but it really irritated me when the people behind me were yelling at the store manager (at 11:55pm) to be sure to check IDs to make sure everyone getting a wrist band was at least 16 years old. My DD's friend is turning 16 in two weeks, and my DD will be 16 in a month -- AND, they both had their own money to spend, had planned what they were going to buy, sat in line with me, etc. They had earned the right to get a wrist band IMO. Well, DD didn't want to fight it, so she went without, but I told the manager that DD's BFF was 16, (and he did not question it) so she was able to get a wrist band, and she spent $80 in the store to boot. She deserved that camera, and I'm glad she got it!! Of course I got one as well (planning to give it to DS12), but since DD didn't get a band (which I would have fought for, but she told me not to), she wasn't into it & only bought one item. What also irritated me, was these same women that were barking about the 16 years old age requirement, had also been talking about how they were planning to buy stuff, get the camera, then return the stuff they bought!! That is to me is more WRONG than flubbling your age by a few weeks, so you can take part in the deal (where you are planning to spend the money required & KEEP the items). Toys R Us was disappointing, we didn't get there til almost 1:00am, they were out of the Atari Flashback I wanted for DH, out of the Lego Pirates of the Caribbean, Black Pear set, the Star Wars Lego sets weren't on sale, and line for the register was crazy long...I did wait through it for Squinkies, and other Lego sets though. Not sure that was really worth it due to my back & foot pain. Got to Walmart around 2am - almost all the kids PJ's were gone (managed to find a couple for the twins), NO sheets, or comforter sets left. I did get the HP all-in-one printer for my mom, and a few of the $5 ear buds. The bike I wanted to get for DD was gone (if they even had any because the sales people in the toy/bike area were useless). Looked like most of the Xbox games were gone, so I just didn't even want to take the time to look. However, the registers were clear by this time though, so got out of there pretty fast. Next was JCPenney - which was pretty easy as well, if it hadn't been for my back & feet...of course after the TRU line, I was starting to hurt, and by the time I got to JCP I was really in pain. The people there were so nice though, they had the snow globes at the escalator, and the ladies were so bright, and friendly. I did have some trouble finding some of the Junior clothing items I was after for DD (she and her BFF went off on their own for a bit), but I think it was because my back & feet were hurting so much. Once I got everything to the register I only had to wait for one person ahead of me, and they were so effecient with their line I was really impressed. They had one person managing the line, who also took security devices & hangers off the clothing items, so when you got to the register they only had to scan everything & throw it in a bag. They were also very friendly and chipper...made me feel good even with my back & feet bothering me. Went to Lowe's next for poinsettias - wished they would've had white ones also, but for $0.98/each - I went ahead and got 6 of them. After all that we went to Chick-fil-A for FREE breakfast, I was underwhelmed by the chicken mini's, so I let the girls have mine, and got a breakfast burrito for myself. Last two stops were ACMoore for some more scrapbooking stuff: $5 pattern scissor set (got it), and $5 paper trimmer (which they were out of), and FiveBelow for the Toy Story Operation game. Wanted to go to Kmart, but the girls were about to pass out by this time, (7:30am) so we headed home. They were both asleep by 8:00am. So, that's about it - there's a couple more things I may go out for on Saturday, but we'll see. I'm having some buyers regrets over some items I picked up at Old Navy, which were not sale items, but I purchased anyway...I spent well over the $40 there, so will not feel bad about returning a few things.
