  1. Yeah, what she said :) What is snowman soup?
  2. They have the dog Snuggie!! Although the other Snuggies are not that great of a price. That Barbie Plane is a really great price and the popcorn air popper is a good price too. I have the same popper and paid $25 for it. I'm skipping Kohls this year . I might swing by later in the morning to see if there are any dog Snuggies left but nothing is call me in at 4am.
  3. This is so funny. Can you imagine an 11yr old running around with a taser
  4. I already have most of my gifts that I either bought too much of last year or found on sale throughout the year. Except for a few new presents, the main thing I'm buying this x-mas is Zhu Zhu Pets and accessories. Total I'll probably spend under $300 and that's for 4 kids and small items for husband, brother, Sister-in-law and mother.
  5. This is truly sad. I wonder how many people would rather work on Thanksgiving and Christmas as long as they have BF off...
  6. I'm a giver and I would be like your BIL and really enjoy buying for all the kids and everyone else and not expect anything in return. But I still think it would be really nice for him to get a token "we thought of you too" gift from you guys. I know that would make me feel good. Wouldn't matter what it was (as long as it was not an obvious re-gift item), just that I was thought of.

  8. LOL!! Not only does everyone love Snuggies but everyone NEEDS a Snuggie. Right?! At least everyone in my house thinks they do...
  9. I haven't seen that one before either. I teared up too. Johnny Cash is singing! Here's the youtube link:
  10. This is beautiful and true ... you should be a poet.
  11. 1. Snuggie for me and a kids one for my daughter What is up with those touch and brush things? My kids also really want one.
  12. $179.00?! I had now idea. It looks cool on tv but I told my daughter that I don't believe it will work as well as shown.
  13. I see see the accessories at my Walmart too. I check often because they seem to put out a little of this and then next time a little of that. I've also seen them at Fred Meyer.
  14. Oh I should add, don't wait to order, they are a bit slow on shipping and often sell out of stuff before X-Mas.
  15. http://www.lakeside.com/details.asp?I=ZWW&Ntt=wallet&N=36&Nao=17&R=878271022ZWW4&product=Reversible-Zippered-Wrist-Wallets I already have mine and it seems nice enough. It zips well and the pattern is cute, but it's reversible if they're not into the paisley. I thought it would be nice for a kid that doesn't carry a purse but still likes to take some cash when going shopping.

  17. I also got my step daughter the Twilight throw but I bought it through http://www.lakeside.com/. They have pretty much the same merchandise but I like them better because it seems to me the shipping charges are more reasonable. My 10yr old step daughter is getting from us: Twilight throw Twilight pillow case Nail polish Lip Balm assortment Zhu Zhu hamster and hamster ball Wrist wallet (zippered pocket wrist band) Gift Card to an undetermined store
  18. Fisher Price Little People Christmas sets. I got one or two new ones each year for several years. Last year was the first year I didn't get any because I thought maybe they were starting to out grow them but it turns out they still love playing with all of it.
  19. On another board I read a thread where a few teachers said they get gas cards (gas station gift card) and they loved it. My kids are still in grade school and the classroom book orders that come home in Nov and Dec alway have an option to buy the teacher a certificate for a book order. I usually just order the certificate for them which lets them pick out a book for their classroom.
  20. Brownies or fudge. Make them, cut them up, wrap them up individually in saran warp (holiday saran wrap is fun) and tie with a ribbon. My husband loves brownies but we only make them every once in awhile and when we do the kids get most of it.
  21. I bought my then 2yr old daughter a doll house last X-Mas. I debated between the Caring Corners and Loving Family doll house and in the end went with the Loving Family. I just love all the accessory pieces you can get for it. This X-Mas my daughter is getting some Loving Family horses and the minivan. She plays with the doll house just about every day.
  22. This is what my brother and his wife gave everyone. A red Swiss Army knife for the guys and pink ones for the girls. I loved my pink Swiss Army Knife!
  23. I usually wait until Thanksgiving weekend, but I've been pondering the idea of doing it earlier this year. I'm just so wiped out from kids, going back to school and getting over the flu that I figure whenever I get the energy and motivation I'm doing it, early or not. I really don't think my husband will have a problem with it. He still has the second story house lights up from last X-Mas! He'd have no right to say anything!
  24. That's is a good one. My husband is unemployed too and here all I can think of is a Snuggie for myself. Sometimes I wonder where my head is... I hope your husband does find a job and you guys do get health insurance very soon. :)
  25. You can't go wrong with Little People! With my 4 kids we bought many many sets and even though they've just about outgrown them, I keeping them all. I'm storing them in the garage rafters for the future grandkids. A rocking horse and scoot car/activity cars were very well liked by all my little ones around that age. My kids also really liked Weeble Wobbles. My almost 4 year old still plays with the tree house.
