I still havent gotten the big book! At this rate Im just going to print out the one on this website and let the kids circle what they want from it

Everything is from santa. It's how my mom always did it. To this day my mom still says her gifts to me are from santa and I'm 28. I do the same with my kids. Whether they believe its from my husband and I ( when they no longer believe) or santa...It's more about the christmas spirit and fun in our family =)

I don't think it's mean. I totally agree. Last year my daughter said to me " mommy some older boy at school told me I was a baby cause I still believed in santa" So I asked her what she said..and very matter of factly she said " I told him that if he says that then he is not gonna get any presents and that he is a bad boy" I explained to her that it wasn't nice to tell him he was a bad boy ...but I was glad she stood up forherself to a bully....I hate when older kids feel the need to ruin the magic for the lil ones ...

My oldest daughter is almost 8 and she TOTALLY still believes. Doesnt question him 1 bit. I'm hoping it stays that way for a LONg time because my youngest are 3 and 1 =). if I had it my way they would believe till they were 18.

I have 3 children and my brother and 2 sisters only have 1 each. We don't have a set budget. Whatever my kids want they buy them and then in turn I get to spoil all my nieces and nephews in return because it usually ends up that I spend per kid what they spend for my 3 in total. I think it is totally fair that way. It was my choice to have 3 and if I spend 100-200 per niece/nephew which I usually do I would never expect my siblings to have to shell out 3-600 for my kids just to keep a "budget" The holidays are about family, tradition and love. I love to shop and buy things that will make the kids happy but would never be all about the $. I would just try to explain to your sister the economy route like others said, and if she doesnt understand then shes out of line. My one sister doesnt work and her dh doesnt have a good job so she is the only one that buys way less then every1 else, and if she tried to match or buy more Id be upset. I dont want her to break her budget when she cant afford it. I usually tell her the kids REALLY want something and it is a smaller gift on their list (10-20 range) but I still spend 100-200 on her child and I wouldnt have it any other way. We are lucky enough to have it. So my point is that if your sister really loves u which Im sure she does she will understand!

I usually get it in the paper and I have never gotten the $10 off a $100 purchase..I usually only get the $10 gc with $10 purchase.... Do u think they will have it in this weekends paper? Or not until the day the sale starts which would be next sunday?

I voted for about the same. I don't have an exact dollar amount but I always end up with about the same every year. It might be a bit more cause I have a new nephew and niece this year ( but I used to buy the parents gifts when they had no children and this year we are only doing kids )so it ends up about the same. I am however looking for a good deal on netbooks for dh and I:D

This will be my second year doing the outlets here. we moved to riverview about 18 months ago from ny. I really like the ellenton outlets not too crowded or far from me....do u bf shop there too? if tru is really opening at 12 i am thinking of changing my game plan of going there 1st then to the outlets...do u think ill miss all the good deals if i do that?

if u live in lakeland right off of i-4 u are probably only aboy 30-40 mins ( depending on where in lakeland u live) to the premium outlets in orlando. I think it is exit 67 or so...\ the outlets are TOTALLY worth it for clothes!!!

Ok, Im officially nutty by today as opposed to just going nutty earlier in the week =p Has anyone gotten the book in the mail today? I hate that my mail takes so long to get here. The facebook page says we might get a preview soon, I hope so. All I know is that this book better be worth the extra wait =)

I make my lists about 10 different times because I constantly change what I want to buy for the kids. Each child or person im buying for is on a seperate page so I try to list all I bought and spent. It is kinda funny cause Im so serious about my lists but by Christmas eve there are a million gifts under my tree and I went way over $ budget and gift per child limit....But I can't help myself

First i called my store and they had no idea, so I called the 1800 number twice and neither person knew so I just got annoyed and called corporate. They were really nice about it- I thought they might of been wondering y I was calling them but I just told them I make the big book a huge shopping event in my house and they told me what I wrote above...but it seems others are hearing differently so who knows...lol:eyepoppin

didn't get mine either. All I know is that I spoke to corporate on Monday or Tuesday and they told me they were just mailed so I assumed Id have it by now. They all said that the sale doesn't start until the 1st of November though. I don't know what to believe..I just want my book

I think I am like alot of you on here. I drop a list and VERY serious hints =) He knows the things I REALLY want and will make sure they are under the tree. He does usually throw in a few surprises though and are usually really good ones =) I stuff every1's stocking but my own..( hubby needsto do that) However, this he is not so great at..i usually end up with a lot of socks cause he forgets all about the stocking..last year he laid a few gifts on top of my stocking that were suppose to just be regular gifts( but i love him anyway for trying)

you are right, Im just probably more impatient this year! I think it is because the tru big book isnt out yet to occcupy my time:rolleyes: Although I would love for the Ralph Lauren ad to arrive soon like it did last year:tongue1:

I am the one who cooks Thanksgiving and we have a big family so it is always a bit crazy the week of thanksgiving. I start my lists as soon as I get ads but by Thursday I am on the websites and checking the papers while cooking for about 15 people! I try to go to bed early so I can be out of the house by 10 and at the outlets by 11....but I never seem to get to sleep...Thank goodness there is a starbucks at the outlets
