  1. Our budget depends on how my husband's drywall business does for the next few months. Right now he is doing fairly well, but that can change so quickly. I would love to have at least a 1500.00 budget, but realistically it will probably be closer to 800-1000.00

She loves music and plays violin and piano and sings. She is almost 16 and wants to go to college and major in music and then teach private violin and piano lessons (and any other instrument she learns). She is decorating her bedroom with music decor.
  3. Towels from Walmart and blankets from Kohls. Oh and the food storage containers from Walmart.
  4. Black Friday is near Excitement is in the air Watch for all those deals
  5. people were fighting, over what, does it really matter? (terrible I know, I am no writer..lol).
  6. Thank you for the tip. I can make bread without a machine, I've made it completely by hand and using my kitchenaid mixer, but I don't make much during the summer because it just heats up the house so much. A bread machine would be especially helpful during the summer.
  7. I am not one to buy for myself often, but BF is usually when I do. Sometimes I will wrap it, put under tree, and put my husband's or kids name on it..lol. Sometimes, my husband and I don't buy each other anything for Christmas, or if we do, it is just something small. It really just depends. But, this year there are a few things I'm wanting. I might get one thing off my list, but I know I won't get them all..lol Bread machine food processor vacuum sealer New laptop (for homeschooling, nothing fancy) New printer (for homeschooling) I'm sure there will be more when the ads come out, but these are the things I've been wanting/needing for a while.
  8. We finally got our almost 16 year old's daughter room painted and new flooring down. I think one thing she would really like is a new bigger TV. Hers is a 32 inch TV and it still works fine, but all the hookups are in the back. So, it's hard hooking anything up to her TV. I think we would like to get her a 50 inch TV and maybe a Blu ray player so hoping to see some good deals for those. I also hope that Target has their Apple gift cards on sale again this year. I would love to be able to buy enough to pay for at least 6 months of our subscriptions. I would also like to see some other deals on gift cards as well. Would also like to pick up a few more Switch games. Our daughter also really wants the Iphone 14 Pro, but it is just out of our budget. I know she would be happy with an Iphone 12 or 13 pro as well. She really just wants a new iphone for the camera. Right now she has the SE. We do prepaid plans and I just can't afford to commit to a contract for 2 or 3 years at 220.00 a month. Forgot to add a new laptop for homeschooling purposes, so nothing fancy needed.
  9. Happy October everyone! This is a big month for us. Our youngest will be 16 the 10th of this month. She and her best friend had their 16th bday party last night. We rented out a nearby trampoline park for the night. We are tired but everyone had a blast.
  10. Hello September! I am so ready for cooler weather. I live in Alabama and we probably won't see any "cold" weather until late December but we have had temps in the upper 70's and low 80's several times over the last 2 weeks which is a nice break. The trade-off is that we've had lots of rain..
  11. Happy August everyone! This is my birthday month (I'll be 44). We are about to get busy. We homeschool and my daughter started back to school in July (10th grade), but next week my daughter starts piano lessons again (we took off June and July). She also will be doing a homeschool drama club (they are doing Annie). She will also start back to orchestra in September (first time since Mar 2020) but the meeting is in August and she will be starting private violin lessons back again (first since Mar 2020). We are going to be busy, but we love it!
  12. Happy July everyone. Everyone have a safe Independence Day and weekend.
  13. Almost missed it. I thought I had already posted this month.. Can't believe it's the end of June. Bring on July.
  14. May check-in. May has been busy and summer is just around the corner. Our 15 year old daughter earned her yellow belt in Tae-kwon-do. she also tried out and made the U.S. team for our region and will compete in the 2023 World Martial Arts Games (which will be held in the U.S., don't know what city yet). She had several injuries; a broken ankle then fractured her foot (neither came from karate), slightly pulled muscle in shoulder (from sparring), and just before tryouts her back went out of alignment and she missed a month of karate. She is definitely a fighter. During May she also got a job babysitting a little boy that goes to our church. She is homeschooled and has done the bulk of her school for the year. She still has some tests and quizzes and she will do math, Grammar, Literature, and Composition throughout the summer (she will spend less than 2 hours per day and won't do school everyday). Happy May everyone
  15. I can't believe it is already the middle of January 2022. It is starting out to be a busy year already.
  16. That's awesome. It is great that more girls are heading in tis direction. My daughter doesn't really play a lot of games, she mainly just plays because her friends play. That being said, she already knows that she wants to go into music. She plays violin and piano. She has been in a youth orchestra in the past (hoping to start back in January). She also loves kids so she is talking about getting a degree in music education and just a basic teaching degree. One thing she wants to do is give private lessons in violin and piano (and she also wants to learn the cello so she can teach that) so she can pass her love for music to others. She wants to also be able to help those who usually would not be able to afford lessons by giving free lessons.
  17. Does anyone know if you can buy the total wireless or straightalk phones online and then pick up in store and have activated for the 100.00 gift card?
  18. The iphone mini 12 for total wireless is what my daughter really wants. She has the iphone SE (2020) that we bought her in July of last year so I've told her that she absolutely can't get a phone. She is 15 and most of what she wants she probably has a good idea she is getting because she has sent pics of it. So, if I were to get this for her it would absolutely surprise her! My phone is just a really cheap android and it is even cracked. So, I would take her iphone SE. It is very tempting to get the mini 12 for her..lol
