GameFly - Does anyone have experience with them?
Kim3498 replied to noehlp's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
Gamefly is awesome. We have had the service as well as bought games from them. I would always recommend them. For us shipping time was around 2 days. -
Not sure how great the picture quality will be for a 50" 720. It is definatley worth checking it out though.

Has anyone saw any kind of deal on womens Justin Boots?

It is an awesome game. It basically has all the past Marios combined in 1 game with new ones as well. My son is not a major Mario fan, but he loves this game. I bought it at TRU Sunday as well.

Not working here, either. My items aren't outlet, so that must not be the problem. -
I had the same problem last year. My SIL called me and said they had to cut back on expensese due to financial reasons. They wanted to buy for my son and no one else. I had no problem with that, but I had already purchased their presents and decided to go ahead and give it to them. It seemed to make them feel awkward. I don't want to do that again. Anyway, this year she has not let me know what she wants to do so I am not sure what she expects. I have called her a couple of times, hoping she would mention it but she hasn't. I am a person who never waits last minute (usually done by mid-October). Not sure what to do in this situation.

There are lots of Xbox 360 games that are good for a child around his age. That is actually why we bought DS11 his 360. I purchased a PS3 for DH for his B-day when it was first released. I didn't look at games for DS before choosing the PS3 and later realized that they did not have many games for children. What does your son like? Mine loves the show Naruto, and they make alot of them. He also has Sonic Unleashed, many Dragon Ball Z's, and has recently requested Legos Indiana Jones. That one is available for Xbox 360 (released today).

We own them all except the Rock Band or Indiana Jones 2 (which DS is getting for Christmas). It seems to be his favorite games. He likes the Star Wars and Indiana Jones more than Batman. There are different games on that list to choose from as well. :) Hope ya find him one that he loves.

Walmart has them in a holiday bundle online now for 2 for $30.00. They have the Legos Star Wars , Batman and Indiana Jones. Don't know how many you will be needing, but just thought I would throw that out there. They do have other games on the list as well.

Well, there are a few things I want...problem is, some are from midnight-1 and some are 5-1. I live an hour away and can't be there for both times. Guess I'll just order online too.

DS loves the Legos games. Honestly so does DH...lol. They have Indiana Jones, Indiana Jones 2 (due to be released 11-17-09), Batman, Rock Band, and Star Wars available for Wii. DS likes the Star Wars best, but has requested the new Indiana Jones 2 for Christmas. There is also a new Super Mario for Wii that is released Sunday. I have been told by Game Stop Manager that it is awesome. He played it at a convention.

Your welcome. This is the first time I have ever heard of them lowering the amount below $499.99. Good luck, I hope ya get one.

It says on the ad spend $249.99 and receive the 18 months same as cash for a limited time. I did this last year when I bought my son's 32 inch tv. Last year it was $499.99. It is a great option. Easy to pay off when you don't have to worry about finance charges.

Model Number for the Sony Laptop *Black Friday Ad*
Kim3498 replied to darkinstinkguy's topic in 2009
I have tried researching that laptop as well. Could not find anything. I'm seriously looking at that one for myself. My son has a Sony Vaio and it blows my Gateway out of the water. -
I buy for 22 people. DS: New Super Mario Brothers for Wii, New Indiana Jones video game for Xbox 360, Naruto Shippuden for Psp, Bakuan 7 in 1 and lots of other Bakugan stuff, Constructicon Devastator and lots of other Transformers, a few movies so far. DH got a full size autographed helmet signed by 42 members of the New England Patriots. (that one was fun to track down). Mom: Coat, dress, and shoes Dad: Virginia tech sweatshirt,Nike shoes. I'm gonna get him a hat but have to wait to see if his fav Nascar driver wins the Chase cup again this year before I decide what kind. If JJ don't win I guess it will be a VT hat. MIL: handmade purse with stick figues for her 3 grandsons embroidered on it, and coat. FIL: Coat, shoes 14 month old nephew: Little people ride on 10 yr old nephew: New Super Marion brothers for Wii 5 tween cousins kids: Krementz Sterling silver Initial necklaces. 6 younger cousins kids: Zhu Zhu pets and adventure ball. 3 older teen cousins kids: GC for American Eagle.

Well...I had a perfect opportunity to ask DS his opinion of this product. The commercial came on the other day. He explains to me how it works...I blanked out after he said something about fans. Lol. Anyway, after DH thought he would love it, turns out he's not interested in it at all. Glad I didn't rush out and buy it.

DS is a only child, but I worried about this last year with my nephews. One is 10 and the other is 16 months. I bought the 10 year old a Wii video game which cost $49.99. Of course, it took a few baby gifts to equal that amount for the baby. I put all of the baby's gifts in 1 Christmas bag and wrapped the older ones gift. I was amazed, but he didn't pay any attention at all to how many different things his baby brother got. He was just so happy with his new game.

Consider checking out the Creative Girls Club for possible craft kits. Here is the link.

Well...that depends on how serious your family is into fishing. My Dad, hubby and son are very much serious fishermen. Son just won his first fishing tourney this past summer. He started out with the Shakespeare Synergy Microspin Titanium reel and Shakespeare pole set. Reel is closed face and much easier for a child to learn to cast correctly with. This is an excellent choice, as it is perfect in weight and child size. I purchased this set at Dick's Sporting Goods and if memory serves me I paid around $25.00 for the set. We don't live near the ocean. They don't saltwater fish much, do more trout fishing. If he is going to be fishing off piers he would need more along the ugly stick jr. type rod with a sturdy reel. Shakespeare is a wonderful brand.

DH always ends up with a football filled stocking. Last year I put in a watch, wallet, lounge pants, leatherhead hat, Madden 2009 for PS3, ink pen, and a bobble head stick pin. Every thing was Patriots, but the video game of course. Oh, man thinking about it makes my head hurt. I spend waaayyy too much money on the stocking.

What's the worst gift you or someone is your family has ever received?
Kim3498 replied to angied64084's topic in 2009
Wow. Sounds like your inlaws are like mine. I usually end up with shampoo fro MIL and FIL. My husband told her NO MORE SHAMPOO one year and she bought me bath bubbles. I guess she gets it honest, though. Her mom always wanted to buy the kids underwear. Who buys underwear for kids for Christmas..... My son was sooo embarrassed and he was only 2 the last time we went there. Never again. -
Football Fanatics is a wonderful site. The link provided is for a t-shirt made like a jersey. Not an actual jersey, but a great alternative for a child.

Do you know which color he wants, and which player? What size does he wear?
