They stagger their prices slowly. I have noticed the less expensive items tend to drop a little earlier in the night. I have sat up waiting all night before waiting on a laptop. Had everything else ordered and it was around 7:00 am when the laptops dropped.

I got this same email. I wonder if they are doing this instead of the usual Monday before Thanksgiving sale for elite shoppers, or doing both?

You've already gotten some great advice. The trick to getting everything you need is to get those items in that cart and checkout asap! I do as others say and log in before the sale goes live, and make sure my payment, and shipping info is all entered correctly. Another trick I use is, I open a window for each item I need on the site I am ordering from. That way I can just keep checking the item I need to see if the price has dropped without looking for each item during the sale. All ya gotta do is click each window and keep refreshing. (This doesn't work with Amazon lighting deals though, because you have to click the direct sale link for that price) This works like a charm on bestbuy.com. I've always received everything I have ever ordered. I haven't bought much from Walmart.com, however I did have a good experience last year. I bought a bike for my nephew and just picked it up in the store Thanksgiving morning.

You have to save the games to the xbox one to play them. They are not played directly from the disc on this system.

If your child is a gamer the better option is the ds. The tablets are fun, and do have some lower level games, but you just don't get the same level of gaming with a tablet that he would get with a Ds. My son is 16 and still enjoys the Pokemon games. I usually try to pick the new ones up at toysrus when they have the buy one get one for 40% off on games (usually the weekend the pokemon games come out). The new ones come out 11/21. The names are Pokemon alpha sapphire, and pokemon omega ruby in case you may be interested in those.

Ds16 has the Kinect with his xbox one but it has yet to even be hooked up. He also has it with his 360 and has never used it much. It seems to be more interesting to the younger kids.

You are so right. I can't believe the difference between the new systems compared to the Xbox 360 and PS3. The graphics on ps4 will almost hurt your eyes. Not being backwards compatible does frustrate me, though. I do wish i could pack up the older 2 systems, but we have way to many 360 and PS3 games to warrant that. I wish the Xbox one had originally come without the kinect also. That has yet to have been used. If ds16 was younger he probably would be more interested the kinect.

If I we're trying to choose between your options, I would also keep in mind that Playstation and Xbox will eventually start phasing out the new release games for Xbox 360 and PS3 to push consumers towards upgrading to the new systems. That may be a while down the road, but who knows. The wii u would probably be perfect for 8 year old. For the 12 year old, I would look at game availability before choosing. The Xbox one seems to have more options game wise than the ps4. Ds16 has the Xbox one and is very happy with it, and DH has the ps4, but is frustrated with game availability. Maybe it is because he is more of a rpg player than a shooter gamer. It depends on the type of games your child likes.

It's still a little early to worry about the emails about early access. I have gotten an email with the date mentioned as Monday, November 25th, however no time was listed. Deelite, did your email include a time for it? I have not saw any mention of a time anywhere. Maybe the official email hasnt been sent yet.
