I'm a single mom. No dh or babysitter. So I HAVE to take them if I want to go out. It's NOT too much fun but last yr wasn't bad actually.

ok I do everything in cash, no cc's or checks. Last yr I took about $800 or so. Can't remember exactly. Did pretty good for ourselves. It is SO hard for me to save money though. I actually set aside $700 6 weeks before and was hoping to add to it but expenses got in the way(son clogged the toilet) and it quickly dwindled so I replenished what I could. What are your tips and secrets for saving money? HOW do you do it without being tempted to spend it? And on average how much do you usually spend bf?

yes it's NOT fun bringing the kids. Keeping track is the worst. And this yr I have an infant to add in the mix. But I too LOVE the thrill and the crowds. I don't go for the "BIG" items. Like you guys, I go for the walmart pjs, hoodies, etc.

i ordered it for 7 yr old dd. She just plays games on it from nick.com and such. figure for a starter netbook it's ok right?

is the one at 6ave worth it? I want to get dd one but am a bit skeptical? Thanks.

I LOVE this forum:) Just gotta say. I was on here last yr. Went out on bf, pg with my 4th child and 3 kids in tow and this yr pg with my 5th if I choose to go bf shopping. My question is this- is it more of the thrill of getting out and possibly getting that must have deal or are the prices truly super enough to want to camp out for and beat the lines? I got my kids out the door at 4:30 am last yr and we were at walmart. Almost passed out in line from lack of food(bad mama) but I didn't think overall we scored a lot of great deals. I got the laptop I wanted at target the weekend before for $199. I don't think a laptop for $99 and a fist fight is EVER worth it:) JMO but debating on going out this bf or just buying everything before and seeing how good the sales are. Thoughts?

well it DID arrive. 7 pm tonight. I think he scanned it delivered and then came back. regardless i did get it but man what a nightmare thinking it was missing.

I ordered a small baby rattle from a store on amazon.com and it was supposed to be delivered today. I was out when it was delivered and when I arrived home I checked and nothing. The website states it was delivered at 10:15 am. Left at door. I called ups and they said they'd do an investigation but that I'd have to contact the shipper. I am SO angry! It was my premature baby's christmas gift and not that he'd know it but I think the ups guy stole it. It weighed .50 lbs. HOW could that have gotten lost? I don't know what to do now?

I must praise my tru. Granted we weren't there at midnight but we were there around 6:30-7 am and they were pretty packed. Employees were helpful and directing people where they needed to check out. It moved very fast and efficiently. I'm sorry yours was so bad.

I have to agree with this/ yahoo said yesterday hp was among the worst brands for laptops. I have a big laptop for over $1100 I purchased 2 bfs ago. Lasted exactly 1 yr and then the screen broke.

I am looking into purchasing I believe its an HD camcorder. They're very cheap, like polaroid but target associate told me the higher the pixels, better the picture. Where's the best deal for about $100 because I need a memory card too. Thanks.

I just have to update and say that they DID price adjust the game to $5. I wrote the corp and the manager of the store called and said get in here today. Well I couldn't because dd was sick so I went in the next day. The manager tried to say it's now $10 because you couldn't come in yesterday. I was like uh uh. So I talked to a different store manager who bent over backwards and gave it to me for $5, apologizing profusely for the actions of her employees. Then I went back 3 days ago to buy cat litter and the price had been $7.44 rolled back to $5. I took the sticker up front because I KNEW it would ring at the higher price. Lo and behold it did but I showed the guy the sticker and he didn't even argue. Now I KNOW this won't always be the case but thankfully I was able to get an $18 for $5 and they did change the prices. LOL

I got my netbook this morning. Was there when they first opened. I'm happy with my purchase. Figured if I wanted/needed a dvd/cd drive i'd just add on a portable. I can't see standing in line at 4 am at walmart in hopes of getting the emachine and my brother says emachines aren't great. He's a computer genius. Prefers acer.

yea i'm trying for the netbook tomorrow. If I can get the emachine at wm great but otherwise tomorrow's my big bf. lol

yes it does. DEFINITELY disappointing. All the ads have been, except target. Makes me think I'll get up at 5 am and head out and see what's left.
