One of my stores does Toys on Wednesdays and the other does it on Thursdays so the traditional markdown schedule is subject to your store I think. Both of them also do baby on Friday while the traditional schedule states Monday so again it's all up to your individual store. Maybe Toy Clearance is different but Last year I was able to be at both stores at opening since they did the markdowns on different days which rocked!

I had this happen with the Tag Reading Systems this summer, bought 5 for $2.48 and when I gave one as a gift she called later and let me know that the pen was missing. Looked at the rest and I only had 2 that had pens in the packaging. I think they were easy to slip out in the store and were stolen before I bought them. The doubt the factory is that bad at packaging that they missed putting the toy in over half of the boxes.

My local Targets didn't even have the DRex so this was the first I had seen of it and the price was awesome at over 75% off. I hit 2 other Walmarts looking for 1 more but they were sold out. I also got the My Little Pony So Soft and Sleep Twinkle Songstar Pony for $5 down from $35 so over 80% off for that! Got 2 of those to give as gifts for my DS's playgroup girl birthday gifts. But Walmart is harder to clearance shop store to store then Target so who knows what the prices will be elsewhere. Sorry about the Walmart toy post in the Target thread but if you are looking for toys it was worth noting!

Finally got in on the tape deal!! Bought 16 of them and the funny part was when I brought them up to check out the cashier called the manager over who told her to ring it up at $.15 instead of $.19 since it was already salvaged and it didn't really matter what price they sold it for now. So even bigger smiles from me. Side note, ran to Walmart to look for Spike since Target was out already, did find him but they also had the Prehistoric Interactive D-Rex Pet original price $139 clearance to $30 so I bought that instead since Spike was $59 and D-Rex looked cooler for the 5 years old and up group. Grabbed 2 since it was such a great price. If you can't find Spike take a look for D-Rex, of course with Walmart YMMV. Here is a LINK to see what he looks like.

Hit 2 stores this morning and my friend hit the other 2 and everything is still at 50% off. Wasn't really expecting any different but just in case I felt I had to go. Did find a couple of things for DH marked down to 75% off, a Champion blue and yellow jacket and the pants that matched. My Targets were both doing housewares and then bedding today.

In 2008 it went this week, I think it was the 9th here. I remember last year being all bummed becuase it was a week later (I think 2009 was on the 15th for me) and I felt like I was stalking Target forever and it's hard to get out of the house at 7:45 every day for almost 2 weeks!

I went this morning and everything was still 50% off, will be there bight and early tomorrow morning. Thanks for reporting!

Sarasota/Bradenton FL went 90% off today, got a 6 1/2 pre-lit tree for $12.xx and a bunch of infant and toddler Christmas clothes and pjs for $1.49 and .89 each. The Nick and Nora PJ's are so cute (red with dogs w/ reindeer antlers) that I got a pair for the next 2 years. So weird, some things looked really Christmas or said My First Christmas and didn't ring up on sale and things that had penguins but nothing Christmas on it was 90% off. Took some time figuring out. Candy was still 75% off. Toys all 50% off and the sales associate I spoke to that was working toys said they were suppose to finish resetting the department today. She thought that I should check back on Thursday (wink, wink) of course we all know how reliable the clerks are with knowing when 75% off is going to happen but I was already planning on being there then anyway so here's hoping.

75% off here too and I was surprised to see a decent selection, the other stores in the area are leveled. Counted 15 boxes of trees mostly 6 1/2 pre-lit ones. Don't need one but at 90% off might pick one up for our bedroom. They are all out in the outdoor plant area so I think people missed them out there. They still hadn't moved the infant/toddler pj's and other Christmas clothes that were ringing up 75% off to the Christmas clearance section so am holding off and hoping tomorrow it will be 90% off so I can grab a bunch of that! Toy update, this store was working on finishing up moving all clearance toys to a few aisles. (they had done about half of it last week) They had sales associates walking up and down isles pulling anything with a red sticker and putting them in cart to take over to clearance aisle. Also must of pulled all of the clearance out of the back too because I counted 10 Extreme Smart Cycles on a flatbed. Looks like what will be on the shelves will be it for toys for us. All was marked 50% off but a few select things. Last year ours went 75% on a Wed (not usual toy markdown day for us) so I will be living at Target on Wed. and Thurs. mornings for the next few weeks. Maybe the early reset of the department means an early clearance for us?? Ok that was just plain wishful thinking!

I'm headed out to Target to see if they have gone to 90% or not yet, also going to check out Walmart. Will report back. Our local Walmart is good about clearancing toys quick, often times on weekends doing 50% off lowest price clearance. It's hit or miss on what department but worth a stop if it's toys! Got a ton of great deal last year there, will keep an eye out for a Spike! Last year I found a couple of extras there and offered up on here for the $32 price plus shipping. Anybody seeing anything in Baby being clearanced? Our shelves look bare but I never saw anything more then 15% off. Wondering if it's still to come or they have next to nothing to clearance this year.

It's weird because this is my 3rd year following the Toy sale and this is the first time my stores have done this. Bummer for me I guess! Hope others don't have this happen too.

Just got back from Target and I saw 5 people with a full cart of toys and another lady with 2 carts packed full. It about gave me a heart attack thinking they had gone to 75% off out of nowhere but what they had done is mark down all the clearance that was 30% off to 50% and people were buying it up like crazy. I was there on Thursday around 5pm and it was all still 30% off so they must of marked it all down on Friday or this morning which I have never seen them do. I had to run over to another Target to check if they went 50% too and they had done it as well. This is nothing like the last couple of years at all, most of the time all but a few go from 30% to 75% which is great because there is tons to choose from. I knew this year was going to be a bit slim because they were managing inventory better and trying to not clearance as much but I really expected them to stick to the 30% to 75% schedule. I ended up having to buy Let's Go Thomas and the Imaginex Sub at 50% off because they only had one of each left in the 4 stores I had looked at. I don't think we are going to have the big toy clearance we are all used to having in the past not only because of the selection is smaller but the markdown schedule is different too. Maybe that's just my market but this seems like a more traditional every 2 week markdown and not the madhouse fun of before.

The 2 stores I hit most often are ahead of the game this year. They have already done a large amount of consolidating which is nice. At one store they have 2 long rows against the back wall no where near the toys really so unless you are looking for it you might miss all the toys back there. Personally I am loving it, means not much is getting bought up at 30% and 50% off!

I missed Spike last year at 75% off at Target but did end up finding one at Walmart for $32 so keep an eye out at both. I got mine the last week of January at Walmart.

Hit another Target this afternoon and found lots more, most has been mentioned already. I did find Nick & Nora PJ's for toddlers marked down to $3.74 from $14.99. They were the red ones that had dogs on them with reindeer antlers (they also have a cat version) Super cute!! Lots of other christmas Carter 2 Set PJ's where down to $3.74 and all in the regular infant/toddler section with no signs or clearance tags. Also found a couple of Jingle Bells Taggie books in the infant section that are $2.99 or so from $11.99.

Went to 2 Targets this morning in Bradenton/Sarasota FL and they are still at 50% off! Couldn't believe it, I scanned a ton of stuff and the signs were right still 50% and candy still 30%. Talk about annoying.

50% off for me too, lot so stuff left so will be headed back tomorrow. On the toy front my store has started to reset the toy section already. Already 2 rows of clearance toys, lots of endcaps, and still lots mixed in with the regular stuff that they havent' gotten to yet. I would say they were 1/3 done.

Keep an eye out for the toy clearance at Target, last year I got Spike for $32 on Jan 15th. I was just at Target this morning and they already had lots of toys marked to 30% off and Spike was one of them. Already made a list of toys I will be watching to hit 75% off!

So depressed I missed the Buzz! I completely forgot until about it until 2 minutes ago and of course it's gone, hoping I can get one on Target clearance after the holidays.

Crazy it's only 11% off and they actually have 34% claimed.
