For the OP, let me ask you: What kind of audio system do you have?

Put it this way: You might as well, since, if you're still watching a standard-def TV, you're viewing on borrowed time (I, myself, fall into this category). Once your current set goes, you're going to have a dickens of a time finding a non-HD replacement. If you can find good prices on Blu-Ray, why not get a head-start? That way, when you DO go HD, you'll already have high-quality stuff to play on it. Also, the streaming video features on most players are pretty amazing.

Netbooks, even the best of them, are pretty limited, and I think you might end up with buyer's remorse. Better to spend the extra up front. Also, I make it a policy to avoid eMachines like the plague. There are plenty of BF deals out there for better brands.

If I were shopping for a laptop on BF, I'd probably go with the Sony at BB for $399.

Meh. If you can live without the tuner, you can find full 1080p monitors for comparable prices.

Check your local dollar and discount stores. You'd be amazed at the useful iPod accessories you can find. My current clear plastic hard-shell case for my iPod cost me a buck.

Well, I already laid away the Guitar Hero III bundle for her. Since we have an extra paycheck in December this year, maybe we'll finally go for an HDTV and just have that be it.

Is anybody else epically underwhelmed by their BF Blu-Ray "sale?"

Help! I've been a member for over two weeks, and I've made at least fifty posts, but when I go to Edit Avatar, it has Do not use an avatar selected (I can't un-select it), and the only options it offers me are generic avatars. The uploading window for custom avatars doesn't appear at all.

Keep in mind an important difference between the Clip and the Fuze: The Fuze has an SD card slot for expandability; the Clip does not.

Radio Shack's gonna have the Fuze 4GB for $49 on BF. For $20 more, you can bump up to the 8GB version.

You could always keep it simple: Buy whatever you want for the kids, and give all the adults noise-canceling headphones. :)

The $224 price is incorrect. The $425 is a good deal, considering that Wii-motes are pretty much never put on sale.

Luckily, Fridays are one of my most flexible days, so I can come in later if I desire (it doesn't hurt that I make the schedule!).

Office Max (who always seem to have good deals on media cards on BF) is going to have a 2gb xD card for $14.99 on Black Friday.

And that model's gonna be on sale in a couple different places. Wouldn't be surprised if Amazon.com tried to get in on that action.
