  1. That is a hella good deal. If I were in the market for a set, I'd be all over it.
  2. I believe it's the 16gb. When you've got a tablet with no expandable memory, 8bg is kinda freaking useless. It sounds like they're clearing out last year's model at an INSANELY HIGH PRICE.
  3. You can get a decent 1080p projector for probably a bit less than that Vizio 70". But there are other factors to consider: A decent surface to project on is one. Another is that, if you don't already have a home theatre sound solution of some kind, you're gonna have to put one together, as the projector is unlikely to have anything useful to contribute in that area. Also, DO YOUR HOMEWORK regarding the longevity and price of a projector's light source, as that can represent a substantial back-end cost that many folks do not take into account before they buy.
  4. Office Max is gonna have the 8.9" Fire HD for $169. Just FYI. p.s. Office Depot, too. p.p.s. And Staples.
  5. That's because plasma actually reproduces the color black. The (as-yet unsolved) motion problems of LCD (remember: "LED" TVs are just LCD sets with LED lighting) have, if anything, slowed the rate of adoption of HDTVs.
  6. Yeah, I didn't see much of anything as deals on Surfaces go. Maybe there'll be some Cyber Monday deals. One point to consider: Unless you're planning to spend the beaucoup bucks for a Surface Pro model (which isn't just a tablet, but a full-on PC), I don't see much in the way of features to recommend the Surface over a decent Android tablet.
  7. Definitely in for some Blu-Rays. And that $9 price for World War Z on Blu-Ray makes me feel even better about getting it for $6.99 at Kroger.
  8. Wow. You've got a Kmart closer to you than a Sears? I couldn't even tell you where a still-open Kmart is near me.
  9. Remember that Sears and Kmart are the same company; Sears has TONS of tools on sale for BF. Yes, but on Amazon, that price is for the version with the built-in advertising.
  10. Eh. Except for the 8.9" Kindle Fire HD, the tablets deals are so damned unpretty.
  11. DaFees; I would say, if that's your price range ($150 or so; $100 will not buy something satisfactory), there are some decent enough 7" tablets out there, particularly come Black Friday/Cyber Monday.
  12. Another woot deal today: http://www.woot.com/offers/samsung-galaxy-tab-2-10-1-w-keyboard-dock-1 If I hadn't already bought our tablets, I would be on this in a New York minute.
  13. Offhand, in the absence of other info about the specific sets, if go for a Vizio over a Sharp.
  14. I couldn't find any reviews on Amazon, but the price is certainly right for that monitor on the front page.
  15. What Tig said. Is so, I am ALL OVER that 8.9" Kindle Fire HD.
  16. Aw, man; no deals on GOOD litter...
  17. I like the idea of that USB charger thingy.
  18. That is a good deal on the Atari Flashback.
  19. Don't hold your breath. Those sizes are a bit too much of an up-priced outlier item to be common in BF sales at B&M stores. You're far more likely to have luck with Cyber Monday and online BF specials.
  20. Elena, there are gonna be a lot of sets available in online specials.
  21. This is on woot! today: http://www.woot.com/offers/asus-32gb-tablet-with-or-w-o-keyboard This is only good till midnight, or when they sell out, so DO NOT hesitate if you're interested (hint: YOU ARE INTERESTED).
  22. "Oh noes! The stores nobody cares about haven't posted good ads so far! The holidays are ruined!"
  23. I just wish the price didn't increase so exponentially once you step up to the 8.9" model.
  24. I would say that, for a quality 10-inch Android tablet, $400 is gonna be in the upper echelon, like maybe if you're dying to have 64Gb on-board.
  25. While the Apple TV doesn't have an Amazon Prime Video app, Amazon has finally dropped the restriction on the iOS app that prevented people from streaming Amazon Video content via AirPlay. That, combined with being able to access your iTunes, puts me on-board for getting an Apple TV.
