Perimeter Perusing at Target (Target Clearance Deals) - 2009
HansieDZ replied to Brad's topic in Offline Hot Deals
Some lucky lady in the checkout in front of me got an adorable lavender and white striped little girl's mini-recliner for $14.98! I got out of line and rushed back there to see if there were any more left and they had a pink microsuede one but it was for $79.99 I picked up a pink and teal paisley ottoman for $4.98 and my girls were happy with that. -
I always shop Meijer on T-Giving Day as they have the best deals (imo) that day and also their Saturday Specials (along with their 3-day Deals). I've shopped Meijer first thing on BF and yes,you just put your stuff in the cart then head to checkout around 6 a.m. That usually takes FOREVER,at least here. Years ago, Meijer used to give out BF packages that you got free---they had snacks and awesome coupons, free products and coffee. You'd be surprised how civilised Meijer is on Thanksgiving Day,BF and BS. If you're used to waiting outside at Target in the cold, wet, whatever for hours and hours,Meijer's will be a welcome change! I usually head out there about 3 a.m. which is kinda late if you're going for electronics and if you don't have to take a cart,DON'T. The carts are really big (unless you get the small carts Meijer has) and it's hard to maneuver those big carts thru the toy aisles. If you have the big carts, park them in an off aisle (like bedding). Also,Meijer will put their BF specials in odd places (like WM) so look all over or ask somebody. The electronics dept. at Meijer on BF weekend is insane and I just don't have the mental fortitude to deal with that at 3 o'clock in the morning!

*DEAD* Wii Fit $59.99 on 10/4 at Fred Meyer
HansieDZ replied to erinplus3's topic in Offline Hot Deals
Where are you located? The Fred Meyer store here in FW sells organs and pianos lol but we do have Kroger's here. I've never even seen any type of video game at our Kroger's -
The craft stores like Hobby Lobby and Michael's usually put their Christmas stuff out very early (like July) so that people can buy stuff to make their Craft Show items in advance. I was at Sears yesterday and they had holiday lotion gift sets out

Same here.

I don't necessarily regret buying my Garmin Nuvi 200W last year BF but I'm sorely disappointed I guess my expectations were too high.I'm severely "directionally challenged" and can get lost with having two separate routes from MapQuest so I thought a GPS was my salvation! I don't know if it's the brand, version or what, but my GPS is NOT infallible. I really wanted to be able to plug it in,set my destination and then never worry about getting lost or being mislead but that is not the case. Sometimes it takes a long time to pick up a satellite or just plain completely messes up. Maybe I should have gotten a more expensive version but I don't need or want a lot of bells and whistles. Maybe it's just me though.

Staples Back to school hot deals ads 8/16 AND 8/23
HansieDZ replied to BigSlama912's topic in Offline Hot Deals
I went to the other side of town just for the Staples one cent 70 page spiral notebooks! I got the limit of 6 but additional quantities are .25. That deal ends tomorrow. I also wanted the Free After Rebate pencil sharpener, but they said they sold out of all 60 in stock twenty minutes after they opened on Sunday! -
Good point (about CC going out) but they are still online and personally,I think WM will be adding more tech stuff to their BF ad. I've already got the itch to see the ads and it's still a long way to go. Someone needs to do a countdown to BF!

I fretted over BF '08. I worried that because of a slow economy, more people would be out looking for the killer deals and therefore potentially less out there for me. Then I considered that because it was a slow economy, maybe less folks would be out there because they had less income. As it turned out, I went with my same attitude as always, and that is "if I get the deal fine; but if I don't then it wasn't meant to be". I hit all the stores I wanted, even Target at 10 a.m. and ended up with just about everything I went for! I kinda worried for nothing. It looks like the economy might be on the upswing so am wondering how you all feel this year's Black Friday will be? I didn't think the deals were all that spectacular last year, but I still managed to spend a couple hundred that day

Perimeter Perusing at Target (Target Clearance Deals) - 2009
HansieDZ replied to Brad's topic in Offline Hot Deals
Toys still at 30-50% (very few at 75-same as last week). Picnic 90% off but nothing left at Glenbrook. I'll check the Northwood store tomorrow. -
It's been several years since I ordered from them, but I remember being very pleased with their service and product. They ship the plants to you when it's the right time to plant in your zone. All my tulips came from them and they are still going strong.HTH

Glenbrook Target went to 75% off this morning and there were TONS left of everything! I couldn't tell that anything had sold from last week before Easter until today, there was that much left. I got all my good candy and the Disney Princess Spring Shimmer playset (like Polly Pocket) for $3.74. I got everything I wanted but will go back on Sunday and see what I can find at 90% off. -
I got a chance to stop in yesterday and was disappointed. The wines are EXCLUDED from any discounts;Gourmet was only 10% off;bath products were only 20% off.I didn't get a chance to look at the whole store but I *think* furniture was 30% off. Nothing for me...yet

Thank you. That would be our store then .

I was just out shopping and happened to see a man holding one of those large billboards along the main shopping strip here and all I caught was 30% off everything at World Market. That's all I had time to see, considering I was driving. Has anyone seen anything about World Market stores going out of business? Is it just some of them? I did a search on these forums and didn't see anything about it. Bummer. I just "discovered" this store at Christmas time and was planning to shop there more often.

I got a HSM Magic Eight Ball for .79, a keyboard for $1.49,electronic drum pad $1.49,electronic drumsticks $1.49,some kind of HSM singing microphone for $1.99 and some Batman things for $1.09 and .79. Good gifts for nieces and nephews as I don't have any little one's birthday coming up anytime soon.

Perimeter Perusing at Target (Target Clearance Deals) - 2009
HansieDZ replied to Brad's topic in Offline Hot Deals
Still 75% off at my local Targets. I did find a good deal though: in an area next to the Christmas, they have aisles of "special purchases" (pre-packaged mulitple items).I found a dual pack (one big box,but with two inner bags) of Life cereal for $5.99 BUT on the box there is a $3 coupon off two boxes. For my first purchase,I had a manufacturer's q for $1/2 and the cashier scanned it in (it came up "item not purchased")-no problem. I took that box home and cut out the coupon for $3 off 2 then went to another Target (still hoping to see 90%) and purchased the dual pack and I got to use that one so I ended up paying $1.99 for 2-22oz bags of Life. The cashier was kinda hesitant to use it at first but I told him there 2 bags in the one box and he said, "that works for me!" I told him it worked for me too lol! YMMV on that deal though it's worth a try :) I got 3 very nice large jewelry boxes 75% off of $34.99 and those were across from the jewelry counter at one Target.
