After shopping all morning I got home to talk to neighbors to find out they were behind me in line at Target when his girlfriend started to vomit. Like a good boyfriend he held her hair but told me about all the abuse they had to hear just because she was ill. Some people are not very tolerate at 4am

Target used to do gift bags and sometimes coffee and hot chocolate. That meant the most because they were thinking of us out in the cold weather

Love BF and a tablet would be icing

Who is on Your List this Year? What are they Asking For?
momlori replied to magickallight's topic in 2014
My DS wants and Xbox One and the grandson wants the Disney Infinity 2.0 -
magickallight took my guess

Hometown Christmas parade followed by hot chocolate and sugar cookies. Santa's "Elves" leaving Christmas pjs under their pillows on Christmas eve. Decorating the weekend after Thanksgiving. An advent tree with a new ornament each day that counts down to the star on Christmas eve. Getting a special ornament every year for each child's collection for when they leave home

What hobbies, interests, sports, etc do they like?
-
It depends if the sales are on line, but usually I have a written list of what I want to get from the leaked ads and order as much as possible on line before BF. I still eagerly await the newspaper on Thanksgiving and go through it in case I need to add to my list for in store purchases

Photo 1: Lady at end of the line "So do you thing I will get the TV?" Photo 2: One week in line and I am first in the store. I better get that doorbuster now. Photo 3: Why didn't I shop online? Why, why, why????

Congrats to all. I missed by 2 days but had the right store

Try tickets to a show or sporting event with the best seats that you can afford. I do stockings for the family and am always on the lookout for something that might speak to someone even if it is a key chain or small book.

What was your BEST EVER Black Friday Deal / Purchase?
momlori replied to magickallight's topic in 2014
So many deals it is hard to pick one but the most memorable was the Walmart TV several years ago. It was later in the day and found they had one left that no one claimed so I got it for doorbuster price -
Have you ever or Would you ever Camp Out for Black Friday Deals?
momlori replied to magickallight's topic in 2014
No - I used to go out early on BF about 4 hours before opening but not now. Sent my DS out about 6 hours early and he has down overnight camping for video systems. -
Not really any ebooks on sale for BF but year round you can find them
-
Now if the current set would die I could get new ones that are more efficient. Is that a bad thing to wish for?
-
Sure do. In fact, most of my purchases on BF are for myself or for household. Kind of sad this year that I can not think of anything we need but I am sure I will find something

Do you do ALL of your Holiday Shopping on Black Friday?
momlori replied to magickallight's topic in 2014
I pickup stocking stuffers throughout the year and most of my Bf shopping ends up being for myself. -
Harbor freight 10/17

What about a back pack to carry your goodies in? Or a Ninja sword? There is also a zombie survival book that you can get as well
-
Since I usually listen in my car as I am driving home, I like going over the ads in case I missed something that is a good deal. If I was home, I would do the contests as well

I personally collect Department 56. They have different villages so you can pick the type of look you want to go for but they can get pricey. Lemax works well and you can usually get them on sale at Michaels. The Kohls brand is also nice and there are usually some left over after Christmas at a really good price. It just depends on what you will be happy with. Do not base your collection on what other people think of it. Go with what works for you.

Not bad but we really need a student version of office that does not cost extra
