  1. Wow. How do you do it? lol I forgot to mention that 4 of the people I buy for have birthdays in December, two being on New Year's Eve and one the day before. So that's a bunch more gifts I buy.
  2. I'll be spending more because I started saving way earlier than ever before. I'll probably use some of the money on pre-BF and after sales also.
  3. That sounds so good. I think I may just try it this year. Thanks!
  4. Will you be spending more, less or about the same as last year? :)
  5. Thanks! Sweet deal! I've always loved this show, it's hilarious. lol I just recently bought her Halloween edition with all of the Roseanne Halloween episodes. They are too funny!!
  6. Same here. The madness can be just as exciting as the deals. lol
  7. Dang, I guess I'm lucky, only have 8 people to buy for, well, nine because I always buy myself something. I buy toys for toys for tots each year also, so that's some additional gifts.
  8. Mario Kart is a really fun game, too! :)
  9. Carnival games and Carnival games-Mini Golf are fun and suitable for younger kids. My brother has the mini golf and the graphics are great, characters are fun and the levels are cute! Some are hard but there are plenty of easy ones. You can collect coins to cash in for golf balls, clubs, clothes, etc. Pretty cute. :)
  10. There are many exceptions but plenty of items can be price matched. I always price match simple things like board games, etc, but doorbusters probably wouldn't work so I don't even try.
  11. Woo hoo!! I've never gotten so excited this "early" in the year before. This is fun. 80 days!!! I'm itchin' to buy my first gift. lol
  12. I'm hoping the Mario Galaxy games for Wii go on sale or have a special promotion like a bonus gift card or something. My brother loves Mario games so that is for sure a gift I will be buying.
  13. Woohoo! Can't wait for the ads to start coming!!
  14. That is great news! Glad we'll have something to look forward to keep our minds occupied. I know I'm not the only one goin' crazy. lol
  15. I bring the ads only if I'm price matching something, other than that, I just write down what I'm getting and what store it's at. I bring my debit and credit card, ID and coffee. Oh yeah, and my cell phone. This year, hopefully I can also bring a GD Black Friday t-shirt.
  16. I don't have kids, but I have this problem with my mom, it's always "I don't know!" When I shop with her, she often window shops, even it the items are not expensive. She is the type that never buys anything for herself. So, I pay attention to the things she looks at and wants, and try to get them for her. It works out pretty well. Or, since they're kids, instead of just asking them what they want, use a type of reverse psychology and ask what they would buy right now if they had X (insert budget here) amount of dollars. lol. This works for me sometimes, if the people take it seriously. Good luck!
  17. I'd have to go with Walmart and Amazon.com. I was able to get 99% of my Walmart stuff online in just a few minutes time. I got a lot of great last minute deals from Amazon with free 2 days shipping which was awesome.
  18. I try to plan ahead as much as I can. I make as many foods, desserts, etc as I can the day before Thanksgiving so I have less to do that day. On Thanksgiving, I get up early, go have a pumpkin spice cappuccino from SuperAmerica (they are sooooo damn good!!) and grab the best newspaper of the year. When I get home, I ohh and ahh over the ads, even though I've seen 'em a million times on Gottadeal. :) Then I will check out online sales, watch the parade, whatever. I usually relax that day and plan for shopping on BF. If Kmart has anything I want I'll go to their Turkey day sale. I try to get a few hours of sleep on Black Friday Eve and get up by 2am to check out online sales, unless they start earlier. Then I make coffee, get out of the house by 4:45am (all of my stores are 1 mile or so away, luckily) and show up at the store just in time to get in line and wait. I get in and out of any store I go to and usually make it home by noon. After staring at everything I purchased with a huge smile on my face, I have more coffee and pull out the Christmas decorations. Up they go and bring on the holidays! For the rest of the day I eat leftovers, check out more sales online, visit Gottadeal and relax. I can't wait to do it all over again this year. :D
  19. Awesome!! Let the days dwindle down!
  20. My Black Friday fever is really bad this year!! Worst ever. Any ads yet?? lol
  21. Good times! lol
  22. I think this will be my 7th year. :)
  23. I hope they're better than last year. I did all of my shopping online and only went to Walmart mid-afternoon because my Christmas lights blew out and I needed new ones. lol Target just had a Black Friday in July sale and the deals didn't look that great. Not sure how the sales did, but I hope their "real" Black Friday deals are better.
  24. That shirt looks awesome. I wish I was wearing one while waiting in line right now!!! ;-)
  25. I haven't bought a thing yet. I usually don't start until October. I can't wait, though!! This year I'll have more money saved up than previous years, so I'll be havin' fun!
