  1. A laundry basket with a bow on it. Fill it with detergent, fabric softener, dish soap, trash bags,a few new towels & toiletries (shampoo, razors, toothpaste, etc.) add a roll or two of quarters for the campus laundry room. Dvd's, fast food gift cards, gift card to the campus for when popular bands come visit they can buy tickets. What about a new camera for college memories of friends? If you're crafty make him a scrapbook of him & his friends/roommates. If you know he has the occasional drink what about a beer pong table? They fit flat under the bed and you can get them in many different teams etc. I would definitely get something for the roommates as well. You hope these other boys are keeping an eye on your son and they would call you if he needed something or was in trouble! It can be as simple as a Taco Bell gift card so they can all eat one day together & new plush bathroom towel in a different color, add something homemade like cookies or brownies. Since your DS doesn't have a car, im assuming his friends drive him around. Throw in a gas gift card. Do you have a Kroger? Their Gc's can be used for gas or food.
  2. I thought about that too but what if the smell is so bad that I can now taste it in my mouth. Excuse me while I go vomit
  3. For breakfast I'd got with pancakes one day and then French toast. Both are easy to make, filling, & inexpensive, You can buy the large pancake mix at sam's club or super Wal-Mart. If you have 2 crock pots I'd go with sloppy Joes & chips or pasts salad. pre cook the hamburger a day before guests arrive & freeze it in gallon size bags until ready to use. Put it in the crock pot to warm up with the sauce. You can make the pasta salad in advance just don't mix the dressing until time to serve or it'll dry out. then Chili or Spaghetti for the other meals Ask others to bring non-cooked items. Paper plate, toilet paper, extra soda, chips
  4. Giftcard for a nearby place for lunch or games that are age appropriate for their classroom. Kids are constantly losing piece to the games or steal them. After you get your necessities on BF hit the $5 games. Try to stay away from coffee mugs & candles, teachers get tons of them.
  5. I bought 3 of them from Amazon. Griffin cases and they are excellent. My 8 yr old drop the ipad all the time on the tile floor.

    Store Maps

Same here, don't rely on the internet map for your store. Things come up & get moved. Your store should have a new map when you walk in.
  7. The gift card is for a future purchase because after you pay for the item you get the gift card. Otherwise it would be like giving you a gift card and telling you to buy whatever because its your gift card . The gc card is instantly activated and you CAN use it on the next purchase and still receive another gc for the new item. i.e.: You buy the ipad mini for $299, pay for it in full. You get a $100 gc back. You can then buy another ipad mini for $299 minus your $100 gc, so now its $199 & still get another $100 giftcard.
  8. The walmart I will be shopping at has always ad matched black Friday deals. I usually get things like games & turtle beach headsets at Walmart and use the Best Buy ad to match. I have never had a problem with that before. This could be enforced this year but I've never had a problem in the past.
  9. They have both kinds of beats, solos and mixr.
  10. I guess Target realized the error because when I just played the game the solo picture & price both came up.
  11. The picture of the beats is actually the $249 Mixr style....not the Solo style like the wording says. I wonder which is wrong, the picture or the wording??? Of course this is something that I need ugh
  12. Awesome deal thank you. If you have shop runner, you can also get free shipping to home.
  13. I got the studio ($299) at Target last month for $179 + instant $10 off + $10 GC. These were NIB. I also got a pair at nomorerack 2 weeks ago and they were only $139 but they were a refurb. Perfect condition and look brand new. I was very pleased but they didn't come with a box. BF 2012 the deals on the headphones weren't that good, most places only had them 10% off but BF2011 target and others had them regular prices with giftcards which was a way better deal. I'm looking for the cheaper solo beats ($199) still for DS8 and I'll pm you if I find a good deal. Keep in mind that if you buy the more expensive studio beats that they take 2 triple A batteries and the cheaper studio beats do not take batteries.
  14. Last year Wal-Mart had most phones $100 off for Verizon inside the Wal-Mart stores themselves. That's with a new 2 year contract. I got my DS17 a Samsung Galaxy, 3 or 4 I don't remember. The deal was good for how new the phone was. Pull up the 2012 Wal-Mart AD. I'm sure the deals will be comparable this year as well.
  15. You can't line up for things that start at the second sale before the first sale .I.E.: I'm buying a Xbox at the first sale at 8pm and a TV at the seconds sale at 11p.m. You cannot line up for the 11p.m.tv sale yet because the store employees will not tell anyone where those pallet's are located. The "different start time" items are in pallets in the back and they don't bring those out until the first rush is gone. Last year was the first year that our Wal-Mart had a ticket system to avoid people cutting in line. This worked for me since I didn't miss out on the TV deal while I was in line for the Xbox deal.
  16. We pre-ordered from newegg and got a free map. Maps are expensive at first so this was the best deal I've found.
  17. I do have to say that in my area I love the sales spread out. I know most people complain about it but the lines aren't nearly as long. Our store wouldn't let you line up for something from the second sale until the first sale was done. I could go to other store in between and I really liked that.
  18. Wal-Mart now has free shipping on orders of $50
  19. We have Christmas breakfast at our house around 10. Its a pain for those with little one's but your family comes as they are. In pajamas or sweats, no judging just eating!. Its a tradition that my Gma started and since she passed away it is now at my house. Keep it going at your house and make sure DS knows he's expected to come this year and in 5 years when he has little one's & is married. Invite your friends for brunch and the neighbors over for breakfast. Good luck!
  20. I've been checking eBay lately for ugly sweaters but they are going really high. I also posted it on my FB page that I needed 2 but no one willing to give them up. Maybe I'll hit the goodwill & make some.
  21. I have the standard toiletry stuff also and something "good". usually toothbrush, deodorant, axe spray, plus a goodie like an Xbox points card or iTunes card. I have 4 sons that range in ages from 17 to 8. They actually enjoy the bathroom stuff. I try to buy a gift set (like axe or something popular) and take it apart & put it all in. They love it!
  22. Did you see that Macy's preview? 30% off Miss Me brand
